Dude, it's always a good days fishing, just not always a good day for catching. But I know you'll always manage to make a good time of it. Thanks for sharing!

I love your content. Even in the hard times like today, surf fishing anticipating a great session is a gamble at this time of year.

Beach Bum, You shouldn’t be stressing on that giant, flat, powdery white sand beach! Fishing doesn’t always mean catching. lol. Thanks for sharing. That black drum was a hefty behemoth 😊❤️

i use 50 pound braid for that reason. when i used 30# it would break ever so often, i believe from rubbing wear. so i went to 50. i also went to making 30# mono leaders with a 1/0 circle hook. if the hook is smaller the fish would swallow it all the time which i didn't want. i only try to catch whiting (my favorite eating) and pompano if they bite. i will trade my pompano for a few whiting if people want to. people seem to think pompano are so great. i use a medium steelhead rod or a light okuma surf rod because i want to feel the fish. i don't see why people use heavy rods you are just winching in the fish. i saw your daughter catch that 17 inch whiting the other day, that was great. so if you ever come to new smyrna beach and you want to fish look me up. the beach is across the street. keep doing your videos.

Check your rod guides...make sure to check them while rod is bent, also. Good luck.

That happens to me every now and then actually it happened twice in one day once when I was surf fishing just nothing there cut the braid. I have a feeling it’s probably a shark just got caught on maybe your skin maybe in between his head and his fin and it just dragged along it until it maybe hit the swivel and just cut it right there as soon as there was a little tension or something it sucks.

As a fellow angler I can agree that its always the equipment fault the first time, angles fault the second time but thanks for the video I know that the fishing has been tough around here recently, I commend you for grinding it out.

If your line broke twice on the same rod, I would actually check your rod guides to see if any of the guides ceramic might’ve cracked or chipped or fell out because I did that once and I snapped off twice just casting my line and I checked and ceramic was gone. I was like great Why you also gotta bring extra rod tips which I do in my cooler backpack different sizes then I’m Fishing with just in case

I don't know why Americans fish with so many rods. It is difficult to fish 2 rods effectively. I prefer to fish with one. Americans seem to get so excited and run around screaming... lol Chill and enjoy :-)

you didn't see it because you never pay attention to your rods :)
