Hi there! Wanda held her own and even defeated (I believe-if she didn’t outright defeat them, she drove them off) one or two of the Phoenix Five. However, once Cyclops acquired all 5 fragments of the phoenix force, Wanda was basically powerless against him. She and Hope did combine their powers to banish the phoenix force from earth, but that was something she couldn’t do alone. I don’t say that to discredit Wanda. Wanda is an absolute MONSTER in terms of power, so don’t think I’m a hater! 😇

Strange doesn’t know all things, and what he thinks about Chaos magic isn’t necessarily accurate since he’s not near-omniscient to begin with. Meanwhile, every marvel character who thinks phoenix force is second to TOAA and are afraid of it are as follows: Galactus, Living Tribunal, The Watcher and other cosmic beings. Wanda cannot use chaos magic to tid full extent. Clouthon gifted her with less than 10% if chaos. Jean is bonded 100% with the Phoenix force. She can also mimic Wanda mutant abilities while maintaining her own and using both to their full extent. Jean solos. Easily.
