Got this game at the end of dreamcast life and I played this with friends countless times. I still have it and play it every few years with friends. Awesome game imo

Played this as a kid on my Dreamcast, I knew the game had multiple sports from the boxart but I was blown away back then when the game made me switch sports on the fly. Unfortunately my kid brain had difficulties handling the quadbike and bike physics, so never made it very far and didn't see all the levels, must try it again eventually, seeing as a PC exists, as friggin Pepsi game of all things... One thing I appreciated even as a kid was the music and mood of the game, might be nostalgia glasses now, but I'm listening to the soundtrack and its real good vibes. Thanks for the video on a childhood classic.

I've been binging your videos today on my day off after getting your Sonic Unleashed ps2 port video recommended. You deserve way more views and subs because your videos are super high quality and I especially like longer videos. You're also funny as hell. I noticed you haven't uploaded in a while so I hope all is well. I subbed and have notifications on if you ever get back to it. Cheers from America, my friend.

Fantastic video! Never seen draw distances like this on Dreamcast before. Such a shame it lived for such a short life, it had so much more potential left in it. The warping I think has to due with the usage of an algorithm to reduce polygon count for things that are future away from the character. I've seen this in Quake 3 on Dreamcast, the environment will use lower polygons when it's future away. This isn't very uncommon for this generation nor is it very noticeable unless you look for it and the developers have the time to purpose design the graphics to hide and reduce the effects visibility. I think in this game they didn't have the time to perform such in-depth optimization and the open world design makes it harder to hide the warping. None the less the game still manages to impress, the sun light coming down and reflecting off the ground is really impressive for the time.

Thanks for the comment man! Yeah 100% agree, like I said in the video, detail wise the game is nothing special for Dreamcast but for lighting and especially the sheer scale of the levels it’s incredibly impressive. I had a really fun time with this game I think it’s really underrated. I can see why the ground morphs, and yea I noticed the same thing in q3, I do think it’s a bit too blatant in sega extreme sports tho, sometimes the ground can morph quite drastically very close to you, but overall a very good game.

@@_lemon52 Been going through your videos. Really good work, and wow have you gotten better at audio in your editing, great work! I see your none Sonic videos don't get as many views. I hope that wont stop you from making more none Sonic content because they are really good.

The landscape warping reminds me of those videos that use AI to generate every frame, albeit a lot less unsettling.
