my mind & me is a compelling mental health narrative, but there are holes in the timeline & a questionable distance between the director and his subject. here's my take on how this compares to other celebrity documentaries, and whether or not it's a successful attempt at depicting mental illness & celebrity.

I agree with everything you said, you’re brilliant. My biggest problem with the doc and Selena is that literally no one is forcing her to be a pop star. She’s wealthy enough to completely disconnect from the world, the internet and social media and spend her life doing philanthropy and volunteer work in Kenya. She said herself that that was what she wanted to do, so why is she putting herself through things that are not good for her?

As much as I kinda confused with the doc, I think I kinda understand with Sel's thoughts. Like she's currently got everything, but her ultimate goal is not being achieved yet. Like you're so afraid by your own choice, then you may regret it in the future. So you stay in the moment even though you got something good from it, yet you'll be complaining.

I honestly think that’s why she started Rare Beauty. It’ll bring in money, fund the Rare Impact Fund for mental health, and when she decides to slow down it can still give her the opportunity to do philanthropy.

@Christopher P. Braxton she’s a world famous mega pop star. She could wipe her ass with 100 dollar bills and it probably wouldn’t even make a dent in her bank account. Selena could retire from music right now and still continue to live out her days in luxury.

I think what’s striking to me is how everybody is against Raquelle for simply speaking the truth to Selena. It goes back to what you said in the beginning of this video where social media has turned mental health journeys into a linear narrative where you are happy and healed at the end, frolicking in the safe haven of your newfound ‘self’ with friends who go “YASS” at every whimsical decision you decide to make. I think that’s what people expected Raquelle to do - go “yasss queen” when Selena said she wanted to stay in Africa. People interpreted her honesty as being an unsupportive friend - this isn’t a Wattpad novel where the main character is healed by going on a journey of self discovery in some exotic land. Let’s call it what it is, Selena went on a holiday and liked it. But making your holiday destination your home isn’t going to magic away your problems, and that’s simply what Raquelle was pointing out. I think the youth of today have a lot to learn about what self-care actually entails, and it is certainly not running away to some random country to play white saviour.

@@nfbconnect I don’t really know about any of that tbh, I’m referring to this specific situation categorically not being Raquelle’s fault. Also Selena is a grown ass adult and definitely isn’t Raquelle’s responsibility. She may be more vulnerable than others but ultimately it’s her family who needs to take that responsibility to look out for her.

I saw SO MANY people say Raquell was a bad friend throughout the doc, and I do see that sometimes, but the Kenya scene she was 100% right. Selena was escaping reality and that would be detrimental to her health in the long run. So glad you picked that up because people are pretty much saying “oh poor thing she has to work” 😅 she went through a lot in those years, but she was wrong at times, including her little meltdown about the interviewer…

Why I don't understand is why Selena hasn't leaned more into her acting career, given that she seems to enjoy acting a lot more than music. I agree that the trip to Kenya really was voluntourism (ie short term trip focused more on her experience) and it seemed as if Selena was trying to insert her own vision of a mental health curriculum for the school without obtaining input from the community she was trying to serve. I think celebrity advocacy often is self centered bc it hinges on their fame and underdeveloped bc they are coming from a place of such privilege, but I think Selena has a genuine passion for mental health advocacy that stems from her experiences and it was moving to see her talking to people at the mental health gala and with the surgeon general for her campaigns with the White House, so hopefully she continues work in that area. I really enjoyed this analysis Zach great job!!

Raquelle brings Selena back to reality and is the mirror that Selena needs so she can understand her wrong-doings at times.

It was not included because the documentary was about mental health, not about her lupus or her daily life, in addition France did not want to be continued to relate to the subject because she did not like to be recognized more for her donation than for her career as an actress, that’s why she asked Selena to stop mentioning her.

As someone that has had kidney disease and someone that has anxiety and panic attacks. If I was making a documentary and I even titled it as 'my mind and me'. I would be talking about my mental health and not my battle with kidney disease. If she'd titled it " my life" and then left her kidney transplant out then some level of criticism would be fair. It's about her mental health though and that alone is exhausting and just day to day a battle in itself

Selena is the definition of untapped potential. I remember she was on top of the world during Revival. Hit after hit. A working pop princess. But after she canceled the tour it’s like she wanted to flop. She hates the fame and the celebrity of it all. The fact that she’s still popular after trying so hard to be under the radar goes to show that she’s a true star.

I saw Selena perform in 2011 and 2012 and I feel like back then she had a youthful confidence that the media and the public broke. She appeared to enjoy it so much more because the pressure was less and she hadn’t been as scrutinized as she later was. She also recently posted a video of her working on LYTLM and she’s so hard on herself that she turned off comments before posting just in case and said as a disclaimer that she knew it wasn’t the best. And it’s actually super nice to see her singing and composing but she won’t share more because of how much shit she’s heard about herself and it breaks my heart. I agree with loads of what you said about the documentary itself. I think what Selena needs to hear is that she doesn’t owe anything to the world. Yes, she has a platform. But if she wanted to just stop performing and live on a ranch, as a fan I would support her. I’d miss her of course, but I’d support her if it would make her happy.

As someone with a chronic illness this docu is interesting so I have to say: 1- I have a different illness but I am almost bed bound, so I can say that a lot of her behaviors are a little familiar when she's reacting. I, which had a normal tendency to self regulate emotions, when was at my worst, THAT WENT OUT THE WINDOW. I showed it in a way a bit different to Selena , but trauma or illness based reactions are just that, and shes nice to fans because reactions are brief and it may be what she saves her good face for. its impossible to really be held accountable and expected to "be considerate" when you can't self-regulate and have so much on you, no buts, in my experience. Thats one reason why chronic illness and mental illness are isolating. But Raquelle knows this, and thats why she's still her friend, she doesnt take her attacks personally most of the time. But shes also not a therapist so she may not know how to word it in a way that it can get through to selena always. and SURE some people are better at it than others as therapist friends, but yeah sometimes they mean well but aren't trained to say it in a gentler way that still gets the desired result if bringing Selena back to her senses. 2- at the same time, while saying two weeks of promo is something you got to do may be true.... your illnesses dont care what you need to do, like period. Selena feels a bit indebted to the music I think, like she doesn't wanna let people down because she knows her music helps people, and she's the type to fall into the Trap of 'well if I help people, I feel good, that means its good for me,' which is not the case every time. Which is what raquele reminds her of in the film at the end.

I was really moved by this documentary and equally by your commentary. I have mental illness that I’ve been forced to reckon with more intentionally the last few years. I agree it is hard to be a good friend and receive criticism/be emotionally mature when the inner critic in your mind is shatteringly loud. However, if you are able&have the privilege to be on the road of recovery it is so important to have relationships that are reciprocal. It’s vital to the people around you but also to your own mental well-being. You are so insightful especially being so young (I’m 38) and am constantly impressed by your thoughtfulness and ability to clearly articulate your thoughts.

WOW I haven’t seen the doc, but as someone currently in the midst of the deepest and longest lasting depression stage I’ve ever experienced, I found your insight on this & the way in which you spoke of it was so very therapeutic for me. I’m so amazed at your awareness in the mind/body connection as well. I’ve felt so sick for months, very real visceral symptoms, but I do think it’s largely my mind taking my body down. Once your so down for over a year as I have been now it’s such a viscous cycle of typicality feeling too mentally drained to take a step one or even have the awareness to try to recall it or seek it out. Often I come on KZbin & disappear into others worlds when it’s really bad & I’m the type to normally be active outside & social. I won’t go in too deep on my circumstances, I just wanted to praise your knowledge & awareness ❤ I follow some mental health channels from licensed professionals but you nailed this even moreso! It really helped me today! I truly think you could have a very successful side channel or even segments in this category that many would come here for. I follow a KZbin who talks about celebrities almost in a gossip about news type of way for the first 15-20% of the episode & then used their experiences to teach how to watch for toxic behaviors & empowering yourself in dating, being single etc. The way you did this video felt very similar but has so much more heart, warmth, empathy & a far deeper understanding on mental health issues. This is also me trying to manifest it too haha. I truly had to pause and write things down that really hit me & that were helpful tools to add to my tool bag. Thank you for this, from the bottom of my heart ❤❤❤

I also really think you hit the nail on the head when you said how Selena Gomez does not always enjoy something that she is good at. On the outside as an audience, we see that she is really pretty darn good at a lot of things! However, I don’t think all of those things really fulfill her as a person all of the time, and you have to really create this intense balancing act when you have a chronic physical condition and mental health condition. I have the same things going on where it’s this constant balancing act, and there are many things. I am really good at that I have to think to myself, “does this really make me happy, thou?“ I can’t imagine someone in the spotlight having to do that exact same thing, and I really applaud her for doing as well as she does with everything that she has going on . Again, thank you so much for talking about this.

You're so smart and thoughtful and I love hearing you talk about this. I'm not particularly invested in Selena, although we are the same age and I've always sort of kept her in my periphery. I feel like she's struggled deeply for a long time and I can relate to some of her mental health stuff. However, I watched this doc and felt myself struggling to truly empathise with her just because of her insane privilege and wealth and while I know money clearly does not fix someone and make them happy, it still awards them so much more grace than 99% of the world. You made me rethink this, I do genuinely feel for her after this video. She's clearly trapped in a cycle of her own mind's cruel thoughts and self-doubt and it must be awful. She's a grown woman with access to money and connections and could do whatever she wanted, however I really think the age she got famous has left her a little stunted and childlike. She has clear co-dependency issues and needs to be reassured and coddled. She hates being famous yet clearly feels stuck in the cycle of craving validation for her work. It's hard, I don't know how I would manage any differently. Being that famous is truly insane and I think there's a very small few who can handle it and not feel like they're losing their minds.

Thanks for being a voice of reason in this sea of nonsense! I thought Raquelle was extremely patient and had Selena's growth at heart. I couldn't believe how people on the internet interpreted their friendship. My perception of Selena wasn't more positive at the end of this documentary. But she was vulnerable and raw and it was beautiful to watch such authenticity. It made me see all the nuances in her story and THAT is worth so much more than any filtered portrayal we see of most celebrity. I LOVE that the documentary didn't end with a complete recovery, because that's the reality of mental illness. We have so much pressure to turn a negative experience into a positive one. But the truth is that we never completely recover. This is real life. We only get better once we accept our struggles and learn to live with it, rather than try to erradicate it completely.

I truly agree when you talk about how she seems to really enjoy the acting portion of her life at this point professionally. As someone who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, which is another autoimmune disease, I truly understand the mental and physical exhaustion that comes along with dealing with that alone and also her other mental health issues play a huge role in her ability to handle theme in the way that same seems to not be something she is after as much as just the enjoyment of the work that she truly deserves. Seeing her on “Only murders in the building“ is awesome because I think she really enjoys that atmosphere at this time relative to the pop community. I’m not saying she doesn’t love singing and writing music, but I think that the physical and mental exhaustion that comes along with that at this point makes that not her first love. And she certainly Must have days where even it is difficult for her to physically deal with things onset when she is acting because lupus can really cause a lot of joint pain and things that people don’t understand unless they have to experience it but I think that is her current passion relative to singing and performing. I love her and want what’s best for her but I completely understand her having acting be her first love at the moment, even though that is a boat ton of physical work as well, but she’s amazing at it, and I think working alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short is also a great experience for her that she does not take for granted, and I think those two guys really are a great friend of hers at this point that keep her smiling and laughing on the days where she is in more pain or a little more worked up from her anxiety and things like that. I’m sorry that this ended up being so long, but I tend to use the talk to type when I text message because my arthritis in my hands has caused them to be very crooked, so it makes me even more talkative and rambling when I use the talk to text, so thank you for putting up with us and thank you so much for your wonderful reactions to everything! Loved the vid but I’ll say that no matter what, she’s wealthy af, as someone diagnosed bipolar 2, one of the biggest struggles is to keep a stable income and not ruin your relationships, meds for bipolar aren’t perfect and they change you as a person but Im glad she is taking them and yes! Raquelle is an amazing friend! Someone with such mental struggles HAS to surround themselves with people that are able to tell you yes or no objectively regardless of friendship! I have a few friends that are honest af and it just humbles and grounds you. Finally a pop culture channel with crítical thinking! I can tell you may have done some kinda journalism studies

Yes! Was excited to see this notification, love your style of analysis as always! I really enjoyed the doc, i did find that it was a bit oversold as all of these celeb projects seem to be, it was certainly really revealing but at the same time the large timeline and content gaps that you mentioned made it feel pretty lean at times, especially compared to the way it was promoted. I hope they release an extended cut that has been referenced a few times in interviews, but definitely one of the best celeb docs I've seen!

I agree with u on that the focus of the documentary from the directors point of view was not very clear to me. I feel Selena as a person is very vague when she talks and even with the music she puts out with what she really wants to say. In interviews you hear her giving an answer but she really doesn't say anything and maybe its her way of protecting herself of people twisting her words or knowing too much about her personal life. Also I think being in Disney caused her an identity crisis because she constantly says I don't want to look young, I feel like a wizard (in her LYTLM press tour) etc. I personally would have love to know what was the reason why her confidence drop so low because even tho she's not the best musician at least back in 2013 you will see her having fun performig and now she doesn't even liked being dancing when back in 2013 it seem to be somethig that she really enjoyed. I like her voice over and her diary entries even tho sometimes they didn't really matched the scene I think its nice that they did that instead of a confessionary.

You hit the tee on everything for me! Let me just say, selena has so many bops that I grew up with but Im not a major fan. I have a soft spot for her because her hometown is a few miles away from my hometown. One of the dinosaurs from Barney lived on my street! The documentary was definitely very..broad. The biggest takeaway I got is that she should probably not do music anymore. I think she would be an amazing travel journalist type of person like Zach’s show on Netflix. She looked so happy whenever she was connecting with people. It’s part of her charm. She is also a great creator. Rare beauty is a smash, not many celebrity makeup brains can say that except Rihanna. It takes a certain person (like the scary genius that taylor is) to twist your darkest emotions into art. For a lot of people, it’s too painful. I also have thoughts on her friendship with taylor but I’ll just keep it to myself lmao. I wish her the best and I hope she does what SHE loves. Anyway, I love when you analyze other celebrities..I really hope people don’t attack you for analyzing their faves, I think the way you deliver your thoughts is blunt but professional!! It would be really interesting to hear your thoughts on Dua and how she took the criticism from her past performances and turned into one of the most iconic pop stars. Love your channel!

7:45 maybe selena's life during 2018 to 2019 was really dark and far to much for her to share and handle. her life during that time is definetly hard for her. 12:00 i think that Revival tour was the first time she is touring with an album that she had full creative control with. so maybe she was really putting a lot of anticipation and expectations into this. But nonetheless she is really harsh on herself but revival tour was LEGIT PERFECT

I saw in this film that she doesn’t have agency of her own work. It seemed like she was doing things because she was told to. Because there’s tons of people working with her (and for her) and if she stops working or if she changes paths or ways, there’s the fear that all the company that she has created will crumble. It seemed to me that all the people surrounding her are just encouraging her by saying that she’s amazing, and none of them are there to actually critic her in a positive way and give a transparent advice. They just want to make her produce and produce. Specially I got the same vibe from her paid friend. She’s just there to make her do stuff It’s like they don’t get selena’s point of view in life, they don’t get what she really wants to do, and I think she’s completely numb to take control of her life. Btw I know very little about selena, i've heard some songs and watched the film, but thats the sense that i’ve got from it form an outside point. Also I see a person that is very grounded in the sense of wanting deeply to connect with people, and someone that is really struggling with the relations that she has with interviewers or co workers in the industry, whom are there just to make money and that don’t really care about the well-being of the person they have in front of them. It seems to me that she has a big discomfort for the way some mechanisms in the industry of entertainment work. And her team doesn’t seem to notice that. My view is that she’s a very humanitarian person (and even the construction of some scenes in the documentary, like the one where she goes to Kenya, was good by showing the thoughtful mental process of her of being there, in a place that is so different from her reality, but the way in which that was showed by the director was very much Porno miseria).

I am gonna get fucking slaughtered for this but I think Selena’s only talent is acting. And even that she’s good but not legendary like (thinking of people who have given insane performances) Voila Davis or Jessica Lange. I’ve heard live performances and her voice is not that strong. She’s not a songwriter or someone with that artistic creativity like Taylor Swift. I think she is a great person but her talents aren’t worthy of mega stardom, though that isn’t new. There are many pop stars who are marketable yet not all that talented. I like her trust me! Just my opinion, and I want to add that you are so eloquent. Excellent analysis and I fully agree with everything. While I find her to be sometimes selfish and probably exhausting to be around, it’s a product of her mental health and for that I feel for her. I make an average salary and always think must be nice to not worry about money - however, I think I’d choose my life over some of these celebrities wealth who may be wealthy but aren’t all that happy.

Hi!! As a French person I'd like to give you guys my input about the Selena ''feeling like a product'' thing... Well she was totally right because: french TV hosts/journalists bloody SUCK at interviewing non french celebrities. Most of the time they bring a music or movie star on a 10mn segment of a show and basically ask what we could call ''amusing'', ''light'', ''casual'' questions, or ''funny'' games etc, like she's a f*cking zoo pet. And honestly I think it's almost disrespectful. For example you can google ''Taylor Swift NRJ'' and see by yourself what I mean by that. Not very smart or interesting stuff. So the part of the documentary where you see Selena upset about the interviews... that's when she was in PARIS soooo voilà quoi, yeah, her feelings are perfectly understandable, she was basically there to ''entertain'', while when she appears on american tv shows the hosts ask real interesting questions! As a representative of french people I'm sorry that we treat celebrities like that 💀💀💀

I think Selena has a gift for listening to others. She has been propped up to be a voice holding the mic when perhaps her calling is to be someone who LISTENS and implements change. That seems to be a sweet spot for her because she gets to use her platform to help others without being so thrust into the spotlight. Her scrutiny she aims at herself could actually be turned towards problems people are facing in the world. I’ve never really been a fan (or hater) of hers, but I’m interested to see if she ends up doing more philanthropic work as she stated, because servitude seems to be something she could really thrive in.

After listening to more of your video in such detail - and I love the way you put so much detail into this, by the way - I truly enjoy how you make the comparison between how Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have a completely different creative process. I’ve always admired Taylor Swift’s process and wondered how someone can sit down and write a song or have those ideas come to them the way Taylor seems to do. at the same time, I recognize that I personally am a lot more like Selena Gomez as a personality, and how I would never find something like songwriting a particularly cathartic process. Even if I had that talent deep inside, I think it would stress me out to write a song, and I would sit there, trying to perfect things that don’t come naturally to me. Selena definitely can write a song and I think it does come naturally to her, but versus the way Taylor Swift seems to be able to just need to get things out and onto paper immediately and have hundreds of songs sitting down that she has written, I don’t know how a person can do that, and I completely admire it, but I don’t think that is really the vibe that Selena has, and that is OK! But I don’t think the average person understands that singing in songwriting really isn’t actually Selena Gomez’s first passion in life, either. Thank you so much for that analysis and comparison, because I think it really helps the average person understand that someone like Selena Gomez doesn’t really “chase the same“ like some people really do. I think the theme really stresses Selena Gomez out on a level that isn’t really natural, but she is a very multitalented person . At the same time, dealing with a disease, like lupus and different mental health struggles really makes the concept of fame in and of itself a difficult thing to grasp, and that is not Selena’s fault but it’s really sad that she can’t do what she loves, like the acting, or anything else involving like her make up line-which I think gives her a lot of joy to develop and curate for other people. Fame really is kind of like a monster, and I feel bad that it has to come along with sharing your talents with the world and being judged so much, unfortunately.

I feel like Selena feels a lot of pressure from her team to continue being a celebrity; perhaps she knows that many people's jobs depend on her, though its not as though they won't be able to find work elsewhere having worked for a famous person of her calibre in the past. Again, she has the material wealth and resources to have agency and make these complex decisions but her inner critic is so powerful and malicious from what we can see, I think she has a long way to go in terms of maturing into a healthy adult (an autonomous, self-governing being) before she can be capable of walking away from her life as a pop star. I hope she is in schema therapy.

I think from the way Selena was saying that in the last few weeks she wasn't sure yet if she was going to release the documentary or not and with this cut from 2h40 to 1h30 that we got to know, I believe the part from the end of 2016 to 2018 ended up being withdrawal. I believe that at the last minute she may not have felt so comfortable sharing this most personal, intimate part of her, despite so many things she shows in the documentary, I think specifically 2017 and 2018 with her near death from the transplant and the psychosis, must have been your worst moments :/

Same as you, I stan Taylor and just like Selena, I've followed them from the beginning of their career. I don't care about people criticize Selena's personality in this documentary or she didn't mention of kidney event... clearly the whole theme is about awareness of mental health, I feel connected cuz I also have bipolar and my mom had a breakdown once few years ago. Actually many people don't regconize or think they were in it, and the awareness is so important to face and live with it. I actually feel so annoyed when people around her have no idea what the f she saying or acting, and it's so true, I can get it. People have no experience about mental health can hardly understand or even feel you overreact, overthink... that make us feel worse. However, as someone who is mentally unwell, physically unwell and had a significant transplant, you can’t always draw a clear line between physical and mental health. They’re too interconnected. It may be what you wish it was but it’s clear to me that Miss Americana never intended to paint Taylor in this vulnerable or unflattering light. I also think that even though Miss Americana feels less authentic and raw, seeing Taylor’s struggles would still not elicit the same response as My Mind and Me because Taylor does inherently love what she does. Crafting her music and videos and tours is a joy for her and a worth the parts of fame that she doesn’t like overall. If Taylor was breaking down in a raw way we could still say, at least she has the music, her relationship with her mom, etc. Selena is in a much more dire situation where she doesn’t have these saving graces that make the hard parts worth it which is what’s tragic and so honest.

I've always thought Selena loves music and that she wanted to make Revival the best album she has ever done. But she was not in a good headspace after her breakup with Justin. So she needed other people to help her make desicions on her outfits and the general vibe of the tour. That made the tour more "young" and focused on Selena being a babe and not a strong woman. Selena hated that. Also I don't like that they gave her the bipolar diagnosis when she was having a bad reaction to her lupusmedications. It seems like big pharma propaganda. And I think Selena doesn't have knowlegde about the side effects of medications. She said in an interview that she her mental illness is a chemical imblance in her brain. That's a myth and something they used to say in commericals for pills. As a person with chronical illness I hated the documentary

I like a lot of what was said here, but along with the infantilization of people with mental health issues, I think her being a child star/Disney kid is another big factor. Growing up in the spotlight and not really having a lot of choices, I can’t imagine how hard it must be to realize at some point you become an adult and can take control of the situation. I think since she’s gotten the Hulu show and really dug into her beauty brand she has gotten better due to the freedom she has granted herself. It’s always nice to see the Disney kids you grew up watching find their footing, because it’s a very hard road

My take on Raquelle is that she's a good friend, but I did think she came across judgmental of Selena's mindset in London, calling her out on complaining about her job and schedule. I don't care who you are or what you do, parts of your job are going to wear on you at times and it's ok to complain sometimes. You don't have to be perfectly positive about everything in your life just because you got back from Kenya and saw people with less privilege than you. Raquelle is not in Selena's shoes and doesn't have to be ON as much as her, so she doesn't truly get it although she seems to think she'd handle it differently. At the same time, Raquelle should not be expected to interact with Selena and her mental health perfectly. She's going to make mistakes and come across insensitive. When you're struggling with mental health, you can't expect the people around you to always say what you need in the way that you need. And it really helps to learn to emotionally self-regulate and validate yourself and your own feelings so you don't NEED it so desperately from those around you. From watching her cooking show on HBO, which Raquelle is also a big part of, you see more of their dynamic and I get the vibe that they are both good friends (and roommates, during covid) for each other.

I also think there's a distinction to make between conscious and unconscious choices when Raquelle tells Selena she doesn't always choose to walk in her purpose. Because if it was a simple choice, obviously we would all choose that for ourselves. When you're struggling mentally, it's hard to hear people talk about your choices as if they're simple and unobstructed by generational trauma, mental patterns, and a lack of clear consciousness because it's marred by dis-ease.

What I don't understand is, if being famous and the work is so bad for her mental health, why doesn't she retire? She has tons of money to do that. She probably has a lot money invested that she can live comfortably with the profits of those investments. She also has her beauty line, she really doesn't need to be a singer anymore if she hates it so much. She can totally do what Rihanna did.

So Selena lack of confidence in being a pop star isn't unfounded when you look at her disney days. She was a child actor who eventually landed a roll on the, what, genre defining wizards of Waverly place which catapulted her into stardom. What's interesting is she was the last of the big 4, miley, demi, and Jonas, to do a singing career and even then she played it safe and did it with a band. So the seeds were there. I just wish she would get more work and focus on what she enjoys doing.

Great video. Personally I don't find Selena that interesting or complex and havnt watched the documentary but i am glad that she did one on mental health and didn't girl bossify it by saying she is so much better now. What's your opinion on the Selena francia drama? Personally I thought it was really shitty of Selena to not give her kidney donor due respect and the Selena fans are really awful saying that francia needs to get over it. I also find it annoying that Selena is trying to portray herself as not like the cool girls and only had Taylor swift as a friend when in reality she was part of the girl squad and was literally the cool girl at that time

thanks for watching!! I don't have an opinion on that as I don't really know the facts, but falling out with someone who gave you an organ is really....not a good look

She has talked a lot about the kidney thing. She has thanked Francia a lot in different interviews, in awards, by social networks. She said taylor was her only friend in the industry. Please if you are going to talk about something or give an opinion first of all research about the things you’re commenting, don’t make an statement unknowing the full context.
