After Natasha Bakhmetyeva gave birth to her son Misha a year ago, she decided to fully dedicate herself to motherhood. However, her husband Andrey started spending more and more nights away on duty, which further distanced the couple from each other. One day, Bakhmetyeva learns that seven newborns had died in the medical center over a few days for unknown reasons. This information reached journalists, prompting a special commission to visit the facility. Among the members is Inga Elizarova, whom Natasha had once fired. Due to Elizarova’s efforts, Kolmogorov, who wants to win back Bakhmetyeva and her son, is appointed instead of the head doctor Samoryadov. He asks her to return to work at the medical center, or he will do everything in his power to close it down. Simultaneously, Andrey catches the eye of Kolmogorov’s assistant, Zhenya Mitrich.
