Do NOT keep the jacket on. Another reviewer actually did a review, then came back the next day to warn the jacket lifted the tattoo stucker off. I agree, MSC ( Mr. Super Clear, Matte) will seal them. For me, i LIVE the face sculpt but $55...naw...Full articulated...yeah

Thanks for posting this! I left the jacket on for a few hours and it was super hard to get it off. It was already sticking to her arms. Didn't lose any tatoos, but the jacket has a few white marks on it from the tattoos. I probably would have lost them if I left it on longer.

$55 is a bit much. If she was articulated or had inset eyes, I could maybe see an argument for that price point. I feel like you're mostly paying for the slime gimmick, and that holds the product back to an extent. I don't imagine the PVC clothes being cheap to produce, so it feels like that's where most of the cost went. I think MGA should release a version without the slime gimmick.

tieflingrogue pvc is cheap material. It’s not like it’s brocade. They use the same material on those see through umbrellas that costs $15 for all that material

Buy some Mr. Super Clear UV Flat Cut. It's used in the BJD and doll repainting community. It will seal up those tattoos and won't be shiny, and it won't become tacky over time.

The peeking in the top were the handle of the case is will show you the dolls hair color. Now online u wont know which u will receive. It worked at the Target store! Also I got it for $39.99 at Target on Sunday! Check Target website for sales!!!!

I like this dolls. Others have mentioned the stickiness on her arm. I would have like the doll to have been sold alone and with articulation. The faces on them are beautiful but the price is too high. I think you should put powder on her arms just like others have suggested.

The blind bags themselves give it away a lot, but the box art helps too. My Froggy Stuff got the box with Blue and Amethyst on it and got Amethyst. Others I've seen have only gotten Pixie or Rainbow from the boxes with Pixie and Rainbow on them. So this may be a hack to find the one you want

For the price, they could have given them inset eyes like the other Poopsie characters. I don't know what kind of eyes the original Slime Surprise characters have, but the Sparkly Critters and Cutie Tooties lines have inset eyes that I wish carried over into this line

maybe you should try putting matte mod podge on the arms. I found some at the dollar tree (idk if ur in America or not) but a 2oz bottle really lasts. If you can't find it at the dollar store then you can try craft stores, it's pretty easy to find :). If you do try this tell me how it works! edit: spelling error lol

Walmart has these dolls for $49.98. The secret to getting the doll you want is there are two different box fronts one has rainbow dream and pixie rose on the front and the other box has amethyst Ray and blue Skye. So that is the clue to getting one of those two dolls. If you lift up the handle and push down on the seem and with the flashlight on your phone you can see the color of the hair.

My dolls tats came off with the jacket. Her arms were really tacky. I too had a hard time putting her jacket on. I had to bring it back cuz for &50+, it should not come off.

I haven't tested it yet, but I wonder if Mr Super Clear over the tattoos will set them. Mr Super Clear is what we use to custom our Ball Jointed Dolls etc... Doll is gorgeous.

Actually you can lift up the top where the handle is to see the hair color inside the case. That’s how I got the ones I wanted.

I also got the one I wanted by slightly opening the top under the handle. I got the purple one because I could see her hair, I didn’t want the other ones so I’m happy you can slightly open the crack at the top first.

I have used delta cream coat varnish with gloss finish . Not matt finish . I have used this method for years and years for painting barbies make up and tattoos. But in all honesty , go with your gut . Dont put that jacket on her . Looks like it would take anything off . Great video !!!!

For the price, one doll is cute. But not worth getting any more. Even though I would like more. Will you buy more? MSC will take care of the stickiness on the arms, on a low humidity day. Others have noticed the stickiness also.

Helpful hint to know which one you are getting.. under the handle push down gently you will see the top of the head and know by the hair color

I agree with you, the price is high... and yes, those tattoos will get sticky, especially if they get wet, or even just damp, or if you leave the plastic jacket on for too long.. that should’ve been fixed for sure.... I guess they could be sprayed with a sealant to prevent stickiness and potential peeling, but they are soooo cute and your review was fantastic!!❤️🦋❤️

I actually used a tiny (barely there) dab of the highlighter on the arms and it took the tacky away and didn't effect the tattoos at all👍😍

The dolls are really pretty & I love the hair BUT the price is too high, the dolls should have articulation , extra set of clothes that don't need slime , I don't like the fact that you can't choose which doll you want & me personally I don't like the tattoos . Also I don't get why MGA is making poop cute .....it's odd ( I recently heard about these poopsie products ) .

I just purchased this doll an hour ago. I too noticed the VERY sticky arms. I had put the jacket on, but after reading some comments, I immediately took it off. It was sticking to her arms. The tattoo didn't come off, but the sleeves of the jacket had a residue on them that almost resembled petroleum jelly. Also I noticed the smell of her shoes, but also the hair on mine smelled almost like a bug repellant, similar to OFF! bug spray. I like her, but I agree she is a bit much. I believe actually got mine for $45 at Wal-Mart.

I think the color of the blind bags tells you which doll you've got. Blue bags came with Blue, pink with Pixie, purple with Amethyst, and rainbow with Rainbow

I would worry about the Dust factor too if you're not putting her in a glass case.. the dust sticking to her arms.. that could be a problem too. There was an imported Cabbage Patch Kid back in the 80s from Africa that had the sticky paint in the eyes.. overtime when dust got involved people would wipe the dust off with a wet cloth and well it would smear the paint right off the plastic.😔 I think she's absolutely gorgeous but I'm still not sold on the Blind Bag Factor versus the price ratio... I'll probably sit on my hands and wait for her to go on clearance.

I recently went to the thrift store and found her and the Rose doll, I bought both. Cause they're good in price. They are missing some articles of clothing that's fine. I know how everyone in the comments keep talking about how their dolls arms are sticky. But for some reason mine aren’t 🤣. I got Amethyst Rae and Rainbow Dream on January 11,2020 for my birthday, and it’s April and my dolls are still in good condition.

The purple doll also has tattoos THAT ARE NOT STICKY. I was pissed about the rainbow doll. Hair was stuck to her arms and pulled pieces of the tattoo off. The purple doll is also prettier, the eyes, the skin tone, she's the best one. Blue has the best hair though. So if its the tattoos that catch your eye, go purple. She doesn't have that pain in the ass jacket either. Getting those hands through the jacket sleeve cuffs caused a little drama. With purple, It's a vest . Her hair has a variety of shades too. So does blue. Rainbow just got the most hype but she's the 4th best of the bunch. And where are the earrings depicted in rainbow's picture? Tsk tsk. They shouldn't do that. We were convinced they got mixed up in the trash. Oh no. They just don't exist. Glass eyes was a missed opportunity. And with the price at 50 plus, they should have them but they are beautifully painted nonetheless.

This review is what convinced me to actually return it - seeing that it isn’t articulated, how cheap the plastic looks and the fact that the tattoos are likely to remove as soon as you put the accessories on. Truly the slime is gimmick with this doll and it’s just not worth the price tag.
