He mentioned how he had been called by Allah (meaning that he would die soon), and then he said "I have left two things after me, the Quran and the Ahlulbayt, and they shall never separate" (not word for word, but it's what I remember.) Then he said "Whoever I am mawla to, Ali is mawla to." And after that the quranic verse 5:3, where it says "This day i have perfected your religion, completed My favour upon you and chosen for you islam as a religion." Some more info: He built a stage (can't think of a better name at the moment) that was way taller than it had to be. This was because it wasn't just his words that were important that day... It was also important to show people something. And that something was Ali (as) after announcing him to be their mawla. Not only that, after he was finished, he ordered nobody to leave until everyone had eaten from their food and greeted Ali (as). Now if you think he said and did all that just to announce for people to be Ali's "friend," then I'm sorry to say you're delusional. Because on the speech where you mention your death, you only say the most important things, and friendship isn't that important. Announcing the leader after you is.

I am not generalizing, but something annoying and repetitive that I find in some Sunni scholars is that they give themselves full authority over Islam like they’re the prophet pbuh and just kick whoever disagrees with them out of Islam. The sahaba were not mentioned in Qur’an like the Sheikh said, so it is not something “Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala ordained”, all of this is interpreted from the Sunnah, and all of the hadiths and traits that the sheikh mentioned such as A’ishah being the prophet’s “beloved” are from Sunni sources such as Bukhari and Muslim, which we do not accept as reliable sources due to a lot of conflicting Hadiths and contradictions, and in these books the prophet was described to have tried to commit suicide wal’iyathu billah, and in these same sources we find a lot of degradation to Abu Bakir and Umar such as Abu Bakir wishing before he died that he didn’t invade fatimah’s house, and Umar telling the prophet on his deathbed that he is going senile wal’iyathu billah, and therefore we have a negative point of view on such characters. However, we never (mainstream Shi’a not the outlier communities) curse them out of respect to our Sunni brothers and to not divide the Ummah. However, you guys also give yourselves the right in takfeer of the prophet’s father, mother, uncle, and grandfather, and they are highly praised people in Shi’a school of thought, but did we say Sunnis are not Muslims like you guys do to us all the time? No, we still believe you are our Muslim brothers with different reading on historical incidents.

Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are both cited by Shia scholars all the time, particularly about the events of Ghadir Khumm. A lot of Sunni scholars of the time didn’t even mention the event and Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are used to show the investiture of Ali is not a Shia fabrication

But there is also a lot of what we consider fabrications within that same book. So we cannot blindly accept all of it as firm doctrine

What happened on the day of Ghadir e Khum? Ghadir Khumm is a location some miles from Makkah on the road to Madinah. When the Prophet (s) was passing by this place on 18 Dhu’l Hijja (10 March 632) on his return from the Farewell Pilgrimage, the verse “O Messenger, Proclaim what has been sent down...” was revealed. He therefore stopped to make an announcement to the pilgrims who accompanied him from Makkah and who were to disperse from that junction to their respective destinations. By the orders of the Prophet (s) a special pulpit made of branches of trees was erected for him. After the noon prayer the Prophet (s) sat on the pulpit and made his last public address to the largest gathering before his death three months later. The highlight of his sermon was when, taking Imam ‘Ali (a) by the hand, the Prophet (s) asked his followers whether he was superior in authority (awla) to the believers themselves. The crowd cried out in one voice: “It is so, O Apostle of Allah”. He then declared: “He of whom I am the master (mawla), of him ‘Ali is also the master (mawla). O God, be the friend of him who is his friend, and be the enemy of him who is his enemy.” Immediately after the Prophet (s) finished his speech, the following verse of the Qur’an was revealed: Today I have perfected your religion and completed my favor upon you, and I was satisfied that Islam be your religion. (Holy Qur’an 5:3) After his speech, the Prophet (s) asked everybody to give the oath of allegiance to ‘Ali (a) and congratulate him. Among those who did so was ‘Umar bin al-Khattab, who said: “Well done Ibn Abi Talib! Today you became the master of all believing men and women.” An Arab, having heard of the event of Ghadir Khumm, came up to the Prophet (s) and said: “You commanded us to testify that there is no deity but Allah and that you are the Messenger of Allah. We obeyed you. You ordered us to perform the prayers five times a day and we obeyed. You ordered us to observe fasts during the month of Ramadhan and we obeyed. Then you commanded us to offer pilgrimage to Makkah and we obeyed. But you are not satisfied with all this and you raised your cousin by your hand and imposed him upon us as our master by saying ‘Ali is the mawla of whom I am mawla.’ Is this imposition from Allah or from you?” The Prophet (s) said : “By Allah who is the only deity! This is from Allah, the Mighty and the Glorious.” On hearing this reply the man turned back and proceeded towards his she-camel saying: “O Allah! If what Muhammad said is correct then fling on us a stone from the sky and subject us to severe pain and torture.” He had not reached his she-camel when Allah flung at him a stone which struck him on his head, penetrated his body and left him dead. It was on this occasion that Allah, the exalted, caused to descend the following verses: A questioner questioned about the punishment to fall. For the disbelievers there is nothing to avert it, from Allah the Lord of the Ascent. (Holy Qur’an 70:1-3) Anybody who usurps the right of a Muslim cannot be a righteous companion of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) which the "sahaba" did at Saqifa. A divine position like that of the Holy Prophet's can only be succeeded by a divine appointment, not the people's votes as then he is a leader of the people and would work to please them and not Allah, making him just a worldly ruler. Ibne Qutaybah writes: When Abu Bakr had taken the Caliphate, Ali (a.s) was dragged to Abu Bakr as he repeatedly declared, 'I am the slave of Allah and the brother of the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w.a.). Then Ali(a.s.) was commanded to take the oath of allegiance to Abu Bakr.' Ali(a.s) said: I have more right to the Caliphate than anyone of you. I will not pledge obedience to you. As a matter of fact, you should give the pledge of obedience to me. You called the Ansar to give their bayah on the ground that you had blood relations with the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w.a.). You are usurping the Caliphate from us, the members of his (s.a.w.a.) house. Did you not reason with the Ansar that you have greater rights to the Caliphate than they because the Apostle (s.a.w.a.) was of your kinship, and they handed over the government to you and accepted your leadership (based on this reasoning)? Therefore, the very reason put forth by you before the Ansar is now forwarded by me. Our relations with the Apostle in life as well as in death are much closer than those of anyone of you. if you are faithful to your argument, you should do justice; otherwise you know that you have knowingly moved towards tyranny.

We understand that Alllah Almighty loves the Prophet P.B.U.H and His progeny dearly so we ask for Allah's help by the source of Ali A.S. But every exceller (sabiqun) is a firster (awalun). Being an awalun (firster) is a characteristic of the Sabiqun (exceller). But that also implies that the awalun (firsters) were not all as-Sabiqun (excellers). It's a conditional statement, not a blanket statement. The very next verse (9:101) is saying that within the people of Madina are hypocrites and even the Prophet (S) doesn't know if them. Both the Muhajirs and Ansars were in Madina and you cannot know which among the Mahajirun and Ansar is was true or false. When when even the Prophet (S) doesn't know the extent of the traitors in his group then how can you claim the whole group is pure?

@@SPDRM My dear brother, the prophet (s.a.w.a) had initiated the announcement at ghadeer khumm, where he later designated Imam Ali (a.) as his successor, by allahs command (look up 5:67 with the occasion/context). After that verse was revealed, he immediately gathered alle the thousands of people who were accompanying him on his last hajj. He literally said on the event of ghadeer khum, that whoever follows him has to follow Imam Ali (a.) after he will have passed away. After this the verse (5:3) was revealed to him. Now your ulama tell you that this last verse is reffering to abstain from eating dead flesh and they say that maula only meant friend in this particular context. They just forget to tell, that after that, they set up tents, where all the people congratulated Imam Ali because of his new position and payed him homage / pledged allegiance. These are historical facts written in our hadith books and yours. Look up the context of the verses and look at what the prophet did, after the verses were revealed. Do not forget, that every word and action of the prophet was not based on his ego but part of allahs divine message.

Well this is very educating to me as a Shia, because as a Shia I have never insulted a sahaba and specifically Aisha- respect be upon her- in 25 years of my life. And I also have never worshipped any instead of allah. We Shia have this hadith that someone approached Ali-great respect be upon him- and he asked him " are you Muhammad?" And Ali (as) said " I'm a mere servant of many of servants of Muhammad pbuh" It always amazes me how a scholar can be so sure of their knowledge about a group of people's belief and generalizing it by the most extreme of them, instead of talking to their knowledgeable. Instead of spreading hate and showing Shia as a different religion, let's be brothers in the similar belief in Quran and Sunnah. As minor differences should not seperate the soldiers of Allah.

There is a surah called surah munafiqoon. Chapter 63. Read the first ayat. Allah ﷻ says there are people with the Prophet ﷺ who say he is a Prophet ﷺ and Allah ﷻ says they are liars. If you say all sahabas are in heaven, that’s fine. My question is what is a definition of Sahaba? No where did the Quran state you have to love nor follow Abu bakr and ayesha, to reach heaven. It is not a tenet of faith. No matter how much you want it to be. But unfortunately this is fabrication added because of the fear of Shia. Lastly if as the videos suggests that cursing Sahaba takes one out of the fold of Islam. Then what is said of the person raises a sword, fights and kills Sahaba? Are they still Muslim? Study Islamic history before you lecture Shia.

What people don't understand is that these claims are substantially harmful for Ummah. Most of the muslims who live in the West have never experienced the communal voilence on the basis of calling each other Kafirs. There is a clear consensus amongst top tier muslim scholars that you can't rule any sect out of Islam. Although there are exceptions like Qadyani because they go against the fundemental principle of Islam which is khatam-e-Nabuwat s.a.w. Now for those who claim Shia commit shirk and curse Shahaba, one needs to sit down with learned scholar of shia SECT and dicuss these issues. Random videos with a one dimensional perspective won't help. You may not agree with them but you'll get an idea of why do they believe such and such. There are differentiating beliefs in different sects because people have interpreted Quran and Hadith in different manners. On the other hand, merely reading some quranic verses can make one understand that Prophet's wives (may Allah be pleased with them) were never immune from sin. The shia view of Mother of Believers Bibi Ayesha is not favorable due to multiple of her actions. Then again this goes down to a historical debate whether this or that happened or not. Shias do not accept some narrators while Sunnis disreagrd others. It is a total mess and should be discussed one on one with aalims rather than on a youtube Short or comment section. All I was saying is that Shias have never been ruled out of Islam with a consensus of learned scholars across different sects. In another verse below, Qur’an talks about the Shi’a of Moses versus the enemies of Moses: "And he (Moses) went into the city at a time when people (of the city) were not watching, so he found therein two men fighting, one being of his Shi’a and the other beinghis enemy, and the one who was of his Shi’a cried out to him for help against the one who was of his enemy”(Qur’an 28:15). In the above verse of Qur’an, one is named the Shi’a of Moses (as) and the other one is named the enemy of Moses, and the people at that time were either the Shi’a or the enemy of Moses (as). Thus Shi’a is an official word used by Allah in His Qur’an for His high rank prophets as well as their followers. Do you want to say Prophet Abraham was sectarian? How about Prophet Noah and Prophet Moses?.

Why did Prophet S.A.W marry his one daughter and after her demise, his other daughter to Uthman R.A FIRST and NOT Ali R.A? Why is Zaid R.A mentioned in the Quran by name and NOT Ali R.A? Why did Bilal R.A give Azan and NOT Ali R.A? Why did Prophet S.A.W say that amongst his followers Umar R.A is the person who is inspired and NOT Ali R.A? You just equated him to the level of Prophet S.A.W Naozobillah. He was JUST a companion of Prophet S.A.W and a servant of Allah. We are also Muttaqin *Imams* :) Also Shia'ism originated AFTER Prophet Muhammad S.A.W passed away. No one mentioned about Ali or Ahl ul Bayt before Prophet Muhammad S.A.W so it has NOTHING to do with Islam. Nor did Prophet Muhammad S.A.W say anything that justified Shiaism. So it's not even relevant to Islam. It's funny to see Islamists saying that it is the only religion. But they fail to mention how they kill themselves (Shias and Sunnis) just because one interrupts the same holy book differently from the other. I actually witnessed this in-fighting while I was deployed in combat for 2 years to Iraq.
