This will be my first experience. I'm keeping my exposure to the plot and playthroughs of the original. Dished out 70 for the early access to Jumpstart my Halloween month. Also got it for pc instead of ps5. My pc has a 4090 so hopefully it will be the best way to experience the game.

It's because the game struggles to run properly on the PS5, so they use FSR which causes white borders around the enemies and such. FSR is similar to DLSS, it's meant to help framerates but obviously that comes with a cost since it's not native resolution/rendering

@@EhCloserLook Don't want to be too judgmental towards RE, I've immensely enjoyed RE games, but they are popcorn fun, with little thematic depth, I'd say the remakers had less stuff that they needed to be faithful to. Nuances and details about the characters, their interactions, what they saw and exactly what they said in what tone of voice was way less important, because there really isn't that much intended subtext or meaning. Again, popcorn fun has it's place. I've enjoyed Resident Evil games a lot, but remaking one so that it would be considered worthy and faithful probably is not that challenging. Perhaps slightly insulting, but it's probably not too far from remaking a Michael Bay movie. You have to have many thrills and explosions and fancy camera movement, but other than that the audience probably wouldn't care.
