Honestly outside of the animations the devil splicers are on the easier side of the models they need to remake. You only really need 4 models outside of the bosses: Dreg, Vandal, Captain, and Servitor. The environmental models seem so much more daunting to remake. (Also they can bring back Crota almost whenever they want cause most of the important aspects of the raid have been reused in some in D2)

The shiny, Precursor Vex are actually from the past. The rusty, Descendants are the Future Vex. It’s due to how their metal frames would “rust” over time. Not that it really made a difference to the argument here.

I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly but I think one of the devs mentioned that if Crota's end would come back (in it's original state) it'd be in the form of a dungeon so if they where to massively rework Crota's end to bring it up to current raid standards it be a comparable workload to creating a Wrath of the Machine raid.

Bungie 100% never said they are going to bring back all of the destiny 1 raids before any destiny 2 ones. It has never been brought up on any post, video, or article that I have found and I look at this topic a ton and people have been going back to the original post about reprised raids and there isn't anything there that says this or that the reprised raid will even be a d1 raid and has been clarified that it could be a destiny 2 raid not specifically a destiny 1 raid.

If I remember correctly from Rise of Iron, we might have destroyed the chamber, but the splicers still had the tech they got beforehand. So if they stumble across a warmind bunker, they might be able to restore SIVA. But considering that bungie themselves said that it ended in Rise of Iron, this probably won't happen.

I have a perfect way to bring SIVA and SIVA fallen back without it being used story wise: Update Dares of Eternity to have splicer fallen, and replace the final fallen boss be replaced with that one strike boss from rise of iron that uses the torn out eye of that ogre.

Not to sound picky or anything, but you mistaken the precursor vex and decendant vex design wise. The precursor vex are the white and gold with the blue lights (I know people mistaken them because they look clean and futuristic but that's not the case). The Decendant vex are the green and brown variants with the yellow eyes and disk-shaped heads. Also one thing to mention that Bungie has added in Vault of glass is that there's one special enemy that shows up randomly among the droves of vex in the first encounter (confluxes), a single regular goblin with a line rifle that has the original D1 Vex design look! It's crazy how people miss a small detail but really cool too

Hey just so you know, almost all of the D1 reprised stuff was JUST for Kings Fall last August, there’s very little info on anything about this reprised raid other than there will be a raid. Imo i want, and it would be better, if it was WotM, but it feels more likely to be Levi, what with almost every Levi asset being in game post Shadowkeep with Haunted. Also, combined arms it LITERALLY THE MOST FREE WIN BUNGIE COULD EVER HAVE, as it requires almost no balancing at all, cus that’s kinda the point.

I think it’s Crotas end. Bungie hinted at also releasing a returning exotic and we already have outbreak. Necrochasm could be a random drop or quest after completion. They already have the Hive assets like Kings Fall and it doesn’t impede story. I’d personally love to see a revamped Crotas End where we don’t have the ease of the bridge skip and ledge strat. If it does return I hope to actually be able to fight a boss worthy of being called The Son Of Oryx, but that’s just my opinion

The intresting thing is (if i remember correct) siva was actually designed in Destiny 2 engine which is why rise of iron was exclusive to the at the time next gen consoles so siva splicers would theoretically work in Destiny 2

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about wrath and about SIVA in general. I am a diehard for that whole aesthetic and I loved it to death. Wrath of the Machine was my first raid that I ever did in D1 as I was always a bit of a solo player at the time. However, my brother ran me through it with his clan and honestly, I don't regret never playing the other originals. I have played the remasters since they've released but Wrath will always be my raid. I understand if it never comes to see the light of day again just as SIVA has kind of been done away with. I would relish every moment of it though would it come to pass. Rose colored glasses or not, I believe remembering something out of love and sheer enjoyment is better than remembering something for being a drag.

18:40 I think it would be funny. As unlikely as it would be I thought of a funny exotic concept which was a sidearm that would change gun variants the more kills you got with it. It would start as a sidearm and then upgrade to say like a SMG and then eventually an auto rifle. It would never happen because that seems both impractical and really intensive but I think the idea of a SIVA gun that literally enhanced itself as you used it would be fun.

In d2 vog there are copied d1 assets outside of the playable area. Additionally, in the 1 encounter area d1 vex will sometimes spawn. This means that it may be possible for them to literally copy and paste siva assets.

Wrath of the Machine is hands down my favorite raid in all of Destiny. I haven't found that love and passion for any of the Destiny 2 raids as much as I did for Wrath of the Machine. The return of this raid would be the sole reason I come back to play Destiny 2.

Okay I really have to say someone who's in game design that this is a lot to do because we have to remember you not only have to Add Those assets you have to Remake them for destiny 2 variants. What I mean is you would have to add champions to the raid Which would mean overload anti barrier And I can't remember if they have unstoppables. Then Then you have to make new challenges because every reprise Has new challenges that were different or somewhat different than the old ones. We also need to remember that when Reprise Raid comes out and we already have the exotic they have to make a brand new 1From scratch. That's not accounting for the weapons they have to make and the new Origin Trait. Then you have to give each weapon from that raid Perks pools that it can draw from That make People want to use them. We also have to remember the nano Tech that the cloud Striders Use Based off of Siva. So if they go in depth About the nanotech used By them we can Have Siva come back in away But that's just wishful thinking by me

@@Toadsmoothie definitely haha. While I think the idea of a derelict version of the leviathan with shadow legion is neat, they would need to put a lot of work in make the encounters more up to speed of today's game play. I would rather see a derelict version of the menagerie before Levi tbh.

Bungie has never stated that they will bring back raids in order my theory for the Reprised raid is that SoTP will return due to the raid shader being bergusia night is the only raid shader that Shada-1 can/does sell at this current point in time

If the traveler dies in Final Shape I do think that bringing a SIVA again would be really good and the narrative could would no be that hard. I also think that Rasputin should be alive to be other protector.
