i have not played any of the skate games, but the one that i'd like to play the most is probably skate 3. skate 2 looks nice too but i haven't seen that much gameplay of it.

Skate 2 is my fav. It was the first skate game I played and the story felt super true to real skateboarding. Rhetta, Tiba, Derdick, and Big Black we're super cool to see in a game and the music was so good, all of the songs were classics from skate videos. The city was wild to skate around and security made it extra interesting. Been a while since I played it, but def remember it the best.

Skate 2 was the best for me because they had skate stops and security and spots you couldn’t skate. You would need a body guard to help you skate the spot it was just so sick for the time

For me it has to be skate 2.. i followed the series from launch till present day. I remember going into e.b games before it was gamestop to play the demo on the next gen system i didnt own.. later that summer i got a 360 and a copy of skate 1. When 2 launched i camped out infront of gamestop with local skaters and played games of actual skateall night till the door opened.. great times!

Skate 2 for sure. Heard someone say a while back that the maps looked more like real cities, not everything was skate-able, the city wasn't designed for skateboarding and that made the spots better. Skate 3 seems too built for skating, everything is a ledge, rail, or quarter pipe. Combine that with the ability to get off your board, hand/foot plants, and some hidden spots, I think skate 2 is the best. Even with frame drops and glitchy controls at times.

The story is what makes skate 2 the best for me, earning sponsors and going from nobody to pro is so sick plus the security at certain spots and the ability to drain pools and remove skate stoppers was such a good idea I just wish there were more of it, like imagine if the skaters of the world battle with mongo Corp because they keep putting skate stoppers around but the skaters keep removing them, I wish the skate stoppers respawned after a certain amount of time

skate 2 had a denser map with cooler spots, you get a true feeling of street skating. All of the obstacles and spots were scaled nicer, had more details and were so unique e.g. the pump track with the snake runs, would always do stalls on the hand rail at the top of one of the big bends, in skate 3 everything seems either too big or too long, and none of the spots felt special, and the story generally of becoming a famous skater rather than starting a company is a lot more interesting. Also being able to walk and have a high angle camera was such a step up from the first which I also think had a better map than 3.

Skate 1 has a special place in my heart because it changed the game and the way we play skateboarding games. 3 was good I have nothing bad to say about it at all but 2 is the best, it felt right. The bails were gnarly, there were the right mix of spots and locations. Out of the slate series I pick 2 every time. Great vid garret.

Here is my look on why skate 2 is the best skate game in the franchise! Skate 2 introduced some new features (Which some features skate 3 doesn't even have???) Getting of your board, objects in the world that you can place and move around and services like emptying pools and removing skate stoppers on rails It has an amazing open world with an alive feel to it, there are a lot of people, cars and even security guards just like the first instalment. The graphics also look more realistic then the other games, the camera angle feels good, the filter over the screen is perfect for setting the mood and the fisheye effect is just that cherry on the cake. The story feels more alive as well, not like skate 3 where you just have to get 1 million boardsales and that's it.. You want to get all the sponsors you can get and try to compete at the X-games at some point! This basically sums up my skate 2 experience, i hope this makes my vision on the game clearer! Skate 2- 9/10 -JameyMan 💖

My first game from the skate series was Skate It on the Wii. I thought it was the best skate game ever, until I got my hands on skate 3, that was something else. It would be cool to see you try out skate it. Nothing compared to the other skate games but it was fun for those that didnt have a console for the other games :)

I remember skate 2. It was my favorite because it improved on everything the first started. It has better bail,walking, more tricks, an interconnected map, believable crowds, hall of meat, death races, ECT. I remember being extremely disappointed the first time I played skate 3. Mostly at how dumb and I realistic the bails were? Like how did they make them worse? Also I didn't like how the map wasn't interconnected nor did I enjoy the story as much.

Skate 2! I've played it more than any of them. I feel like that yeah some effects might be rough but it really is the skate 1 & 3 combined. The falls are more real and it took alot more accuracy to play skate 2 because the control's flick ratio is smaller than both. And the maps are are amazing!

Skate 2 is easily the best one imo. The bail physics look so good for some reason, the security mechanic is so cool, calling the homie with a crowbar to get rid of skate stoppers and Big Black to work security while you skate a spot, etc. The game is just leagues ahead of anything else.

skate 3 is my favorite simply for nostalgic reasons. my friends and i used to rotate the controller between the three of us for hours. i vividly remember the excitement of getting my own xbox and being able to play the story. it also just looks and handles the best. man i would love the skate 2 map with skate 3 graphics and controls, though.

Skate 2 is my favorite game because I’m currently 14 and the first time I played this game was when I was about 5 years old because I used to live with my grandma and my uncle was still in high school and he skated a lot so he had skate 2 and skate 3 and i remember when he would be out doing his thing I would get on the ps3 and I would play skate 2 and skate 3 but from both I remember spending the most time on skate 2 and it generally jus brings back a lot of memories

They are all great but as I grow I am starting to realize, like you that newer isn't always better (case and point, COD), but in the case of the EA Skate franchise, I can't pick a favorite because they all play a fundamental role in being that I played the crap out of each of those games during my childhood and loved every second and it always kinda felt like things just progressed even when Skate 3 came out and things strayed with graphics and also with the ability to change your difficulty which I'm not saying is for better or for worse. I remember a friend let me borrow their ps3 and this was back in like 2011 and my dad rented skate 2 and that was my first ever ps3 game I played and I fell in love with it instantly sadly I was only able to play it for one weekend then I was able to buy my own ps3 and play skate 1 and 3 can’t wait for this new one they just announced

As much as i absolutely LOVE your live streams (i always tune in), when you film a video "offline" the quality of the content is far superior and more enjoyable, and it shows. Don't get me wrong, you can absolutely keep filming videos live and i'd still watch and love every single one of them, but i kinda missed this good old format
