@@Change51Nah, the game suffers from bad level design past Mushroom Hill. The levels can last like 7-8 minutes. It is painful mediocre especially considering it adds nothing new gameplay wise from Sonic 3. Worse than Spinball, better than mean bean machine.

My personal theory on where they're going next is some kind of Sonic Heroes adaptation, Eggman is out of the picture, and he wasn't super crazy integral to the plot in Heroes, so it'd make sense in my eyes. Besides, I feel Sonic Heroes is a really good introduction to Metal Sonic

1:37 THANK YOUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!! I am SO tired of people that pitch plot ideas where it's just "Sonic leaves Earth and meets up with X, X and X!" I saw a lot of those for mostly the second movie, but some for this one too. I love the humans, I can understand why a lot of people don't, but if you hate them so much that you wanna just straight up throw them in the trash and adapt your favorite game, well sorry but I think that would go heavily against the entire vision of the series. The humans are major characters that are important to the universe. Like, if those pitches were the reality, Sonic 2 would have been a fine movie, but a horrible sequel that just forgets the first one entirely.

Here's what I think Sonic 4-6 will be focused on [SPOILERS]: Sonic 4 will probably be Sonic and Amy fighting the Metal Sonic army led by Neo Metal Sonic, who are looking for an unknown macguffin revealed in the trilogy. I haven't fully seen the leaked scenes but Tails and Knuckles may either be in the main plot or in a side plot depending on what happens. If in a side plot, they help out Shadow following the reveal of his survival in this film. At the end, our team would be united again to fight Metal Overlord. There would be 2 post credits scenes: 1 would show Agent Stone working on the E Series to hunt the Macguffin Neo Metal Sonic was looking for whilst Rouge spies on him, and the other would show Chaos 0 arriving in the present day. Sonic 5 would have Team Sonic fight Agent Stone as he attempts to finish Perfect Chaos, whilst Amy and Shadow, joined by Rouge, free 2 of the E-Series, Gamma and Omega, and convince them to help others. Omega forms a team with Shadow and Rouge, whilst Gamma Sacrifices himself to help Sonic in the battle against Perfect Chaos. The post credits scene would have Team Shadow (or Team Dark if they want to do game accuracy) find the Macguffin Neo Metal Sonic was looking for using the map Rouge stollen from Stone at the beginning of the film, discovering the ancient Scepter of Darkness. Lastly, Sonic 6 would have Team Sonic and Team Shadow ally with Silver the Hedgehog, a Hedgehog from a universe destroyed by its Mephiles, to stop the newly freed Mephiles of the Movie universe. Solaris would be adapted out for now, but could be a threat in the future if introduced into the films. The final battle against Mephiles would have everyone use the power of the Master Emerald to turn Super and fight him.
