i appreciate this video, it's pretty thorough and informative. I'm a huge space invaders fan, but thanks to this review I think I'll give this collection a miss. It looks like mobile fan games rather than anything amazing. I was hoping it'd be more like Tetris Effect was for Tetris.

I was hoping this would have the original 1978 as part of the compilation. Is this worth $40 on Switch?

If you're getting it for the Switch get the Invincible Collection, as that one has the original game along with a couple more arcade releases of Space Invaders. By the way, I think Arkanoid vs. Space Invaders can only be played in handheld mode on the Switch. Overall, I think it's a worthy game if you're a fan of Space Invaders but I'd probably wait for a sale, as I've seen the Invincible Collection regularly on sale on the eShop.
