In this video, I talk about Spongebob in Brawlhalla, as he is currently the most expensive Crossover in the game. Tons and tons of people had issue with this, so I took it as my job to look into Spongebob, break everything that is unique about him down, and try and figure out if he is worth 400 Mammoth Coins, $15 USD. I may be late to the Spongebob Crossover, but that's because I was making this video. This took a month and half, but it's here. Sorry for taking a while.

After watching this video, how do you feel about Spongebob's Price? Does he feel worth it or not? And describe it to me, I do read the comments. I also have been seeing a lot of talk about the regional prices, especially for Brazilians, which I never even thought of. I feel his worth is dependent on the region. Anymore than $15 Dollars isn't worth it to me, and if you have to any more to get the skin, I wouldn't buy it. 8-20-24: Bro, 7:12... WENT THREW??? It's "Went Through". WENT THREW??? THREW???? This is a tough one as i have alot of personally bias against companies making things more expensive then slapping a shiny new feature as an excuse.....also i dont actually like how SpongeBob looks in game....so i would probably say no

I think I speak for all brazilian Brawlhalla players that in our region, SpongeBob is not worth it, here we have to pay 70,00 reais, just for you guys know how expensive this is, imagine yourself paying 70 dolars for a skin, ik that this is not Brawlhalla's fault but it shows that the answer for that question is relative

For me, the 400 mc for just Spongebob is fine, but if it sets a precedent that skins can be priced at 400 mc and work, then I'm worried about the pricing of skins in the future.

This is so incredibly well made and edited!! I dont really blame the devs for hyping up crossovers becaues I imagine its a whole hellavu lot of work to bring them into the game for us to enjoy seeing our fav characters. Plus the pricing could be way worse. Have you ever played Apex Legends? and see the pricing on their items... its ridiculous. Fire video I like watching before I sleep

It's great to see you here man, I love your content. I appreciate you leaving your thoughts here, I do see how you think, and I sort of agree. I understand why they hype these things up, it's their job to make their game more popular, but with what they are adding, I feel it could be a lot cooler. The main reason I feel so miffed about them hyping stuff up is because the features and stuff we get feel so... dry? I don't know what's going on at BMG and the work conditions and whatnot, but I honestly do feel we're missing on what can be. And yeah Apex Legends have their prices super high up there, so I'm grateful with the prices we got.

Great video man! Personally love SpongeBob, never played rayman until the crossover and currently have SpongeBob at level 39. I love how wonky some of the animations are especially the face palm

If you use Spongebob's weapons on other legends in Switchcraft mode, It actually change that legend's rig to Spongebob's. also when Spongebob use other epic skin signature (I only found on Orion prime maybe there's more), It uses the frames you mention at 6:21 to replace the signature effects. It was so funny when I discovered it.

I’m glad there was an in-depth analysis for this topic rather than just saying it shouldn’t be worth its price for some absurd reason. 400 Mammoth coins is a lot, and the price is worth it. But yes, it should have released in a more polished state in terms of emotes. Patrick in my opinion while still fun to play, is still arguably more broken in terms of rigging or bones. But in the end.. it’s Spongebob. We all looked past that when we saw the reveal at BCX hahah.

Cool video! Great editing. I haven’t played brawlhala in like 5 or 6 years I had no clue they charged that much for glorified skins I’m kinda shocked the community puts up with that. Other fighting games would charge 15 or 20 for an entirely new character animated from the ground up with no reused animations. Like for smash bros I’m pretty sure 25 would get you 4 or 5 entirely unique characters that introduce new mechanics and all come with stages. I get comparing Nintendo to a smaller studio is a bit of a stretch but it’s still really wild to me. do brawlhalla players feel that way?

Yeah. Brawlhalla players find the bad things in everything, but in the case of these skins, I do feel they suck.

The biggest issue I have with Spongebob being 400 mammoth coins is that I feel like I'm paying so much more money for and unfinished rigg. The argument everyone wants to say is that the "care" and "thought" counts, but when you also consider the fact that this skin in particular was hyped up during BCX 2023, you'd expect a 100% W God-Tier skin. A LOT of characters don't fit in Brawlhalla due to the rigging system. Spongebob just feels a bit forced to bring hype during BCX reveals.

Spongebob being an extra 100 mammoth coins wouldn't have been a problem on its own, but when they do it as they removed regional pricing and set all the mammoth coin packs to USD made it 10x worse than it should be. Before it wouldn't matter too much to me, but now Spongebob is more expensive to me in my region than it is in the US.

In Brazil 540 mamoth coins are R$74.99 (which in dollars would be ~$15.70) with 74.99 in the past I could buy 1080 mamoth coins The price increase makes it very discouraging to buy skins, because paying twice as much money for half of mamoth coins is very "sad" (if I made any writing mistakes, just ignore it kk)

This entire video's criticism is invalid. Spongebob's face is a clearly a FEATURE, not a bug. What's more tilting than fighting someone who taunts you after each stock by ripping their face off of their body and staring into your soul with their disembodied eyes? I call that *innovation.*

Legit nobody would have this problem with the crossover if they fixed the codes system,codes should be able to be used by everyone as many times but the codes should have a time limit of 1-2 hours before it expires. Everything cosmetic on brawlhalla has a code probably and BMG should lower the price for spongenob and gift everyone that bought the spongebob skin 100 mammoth coins due to the absurd price

Like you said it’s only worth it if they make 400 purchasable without the extra hassle while I’m still against these mythicals because it’s only pushing a ptw narrative harder I can also see why the price change needed to happen but you forgot one major thing and that this was also around the time brawlhalla increased mammoth coins so people already were annoyed

As a Brazilian player, I say that it's not worth one here in our region, 400 mammoth coins, it's almost 17.77 Dollars, this is never worth it and I think SpongeBob is the worst of the three crossovers for me, Sandy and Pratick were much better in my opinion

You know, if they had ANY way to earn Mammoth coins. Any at all. Even one slow, tedious method of earning them without having to BUY them, then MAAAAYBE... it wouldn't be worth it. But, no. You HAVE to buy them. That is the ONLY way to get mammoth coins. So, for me, it goes from a "no" to a "HECK no!"

I think that crossovers and skins in general are overpriced, especially since for the most part it's purely cosmetic. Yes, animation and rigging can be difficult, but I don't think that Brawlhalla skins are worth a starting price of $7, ESPECIALLy when there is zero way to obtain Mammoth coins without purchase. If Mammoth coins could be unlocked in rare cases, this wouldn't be as much of a complaint.

Ok I think they should definitely fix the ranking system I have made it to gold 4 max and I think the only reason why it isn’t higher is because I am getting platinums yes Idk what there tier in plat is but they have the frame so I think they should make it more fair for example one time I faced someone that had never played the game before that is in fair in my opinion I have also had someone that was a diamond face me again how I know is because the frame and he had the avatar on it would be more fun to have a balanced system thank you and goodnight(idk just wanted to say goodnight for some reason lol)

Im fine with sponge bob price BUT DAMN! are they starting to exploit this pricing because the new star wars skins does not need much work like darth vader skin is worth 300 not 400 even worse the other skins are not worth the price and they are all 400, And i feel like they might put the price even higher in the future!
