The breathing techniques taught to classical voice singers are very powerful and very similar to Yogis. Also, our posture techniques. Like I said, I still use them. Very relaxing.

They didn't explain this, but you're probably breathing incorrectly in your everyday life. When you inhale, your belly should inflate, and when you exhale, it should deflate. That's why they said to consciously focus on your breathing. Focus on your belly. Think about breathing into your belly, and then breathe out of it. It will take you a little while to get this down since you've been doing it wrong all these years, but eventually it'll come naturally to you and become second nature.

You should really expand three dimensionally on the Inhalation, namely using the full range of Motion of the Diaphragm (full exhale First), as well as the intercostals, which expand your ribcage 360 degrees. Belly breathing is Not really helpful. Check Out the PRI.

Transverse abdominals muscle gets stronger and makes the mid section look tighter. Its not fat burning. Also his is more visible but anybody can do this. Its great for woman who have had babies cause they do all the crunches but forget the transverse abdominals that has to atrophy during prignancy.
