Sunshine in the 90s was rough, many of the gang members as documented in Underbelly were from here. But it's nothing compared to Cabramatta in the 90s. I think St Kilda around Fitzroy Street and surroundings is even more dangerous than Sunshine or any of the western suburbs, but no one talks about it.

There was a TAB opposite where Mambos is and we went there underage and placed $1 harness racing bets, to try and scab cash for the pinnies and popcorn lol. The old bloke behind the counter didn't even care, he just read the trading post and put his own bets on lol.

Haven't been to Sunshine in almost 20 years. I had extended family who resided there. I remember as a kid going to the Sunshine Uniting Church for their well renowned Devonshire tea. They had the Best scones with raspberry jam and cream to have with a nice cup of tea . Having said that mate, Sunshine has changed substantially since I was young.. it's almost unrecognisable what you have shown.

I work in sunshine and st albans every day. Sunshine is still very dangerous so is st albans but you do end up knowing all the local rough nuts its the blow ins that cause the trouble.

There was nothing but Rockbank next on Ballarat Rd. It’s not a place I like going to unless I need to go to the wreckers or some other factory. Keep the cruises up I really enjoy them and stay safe.
