Keep grindin man, It's tough at first, but it will happen. When I started I shook down old buddies and people I knew at my LGS's. When I scoured FB, I'd buy at rated I probably shoudlnt, but even then, there is money to be made, even ifit's the slimmest, but even though $ is important it's ok to lose a little if it means your building a portfolio and rep. Gotta think of the long game!

My only issue with Direct has been that it is not clear what is in stock or how much. For example I tried to flip Deep-Cavern Bats because it is popular in standard, but only 1 of them sold Direct (I bought like 60). I also buy primarily commander decks to flip as singles (because the value is more deterministic), and the newer sets they typically only have the chase cards in Syracuse. Other than that, Direct is kind of amazing as a seller and a buyer. If you can’t understand the value of getting a whole 75 card deck in less than a week in one package, you’re bugging. As a smaller seller I reinvest my payments back into the buylist and typically have larger “bursts” of high value cards and my direct shipments have been on average, 50-150 cards. I had one the other day that was only 20 cards (it was closer to $400 or $500). Super not painless. When they have been 1000+ cards I knew I was ingesting a lot of cards and was prepared for the labor.

I know your video is from a seller perspective .. but to give my 2 cents as a buyer I shy away from tcgplayer direct, which (funny enough) is the indirect service because the cards I get as you explained are not the vendor cards (your cards) but cards tcgplayer had in their own inventory and therefore the quality is totally random. I cannot base my future decisions due to the low or high quality I received on the vendor(s) I selected.. So I always always buy from the actual vendors (the actual direct way) that way I can track the good vendors and bad vendors for my future purchases

Have you thought about switching to a 3 inch tape? It is a little bit more money, but it is worth it if you can reduce the number of passes on the top and bottom of boxes. It worked well for our business. Talk to your tape vendor about it

Start with your local player base, advertise it in store. ( We advertise it on our website). Also use your local Facebook groups. Once the word gets out it kinda just keeps coming

I see a lot of sellers not paying attention list a card at lowest price underneath everybody else that offers free shipping over $50 which makes their card actually $3+ less than everybody else, and they will have like 20+ copies of that card. It's like bro come on. The whole free shipping on orders over $50 really screws up the whole pricing of cards so you can't always trust the TCGp Market Lowest listing and Market Price when pricing your cards.

They look like some standard wire rack shelving units. Uline probably has them but they might be expensive from there. Any home improvement store probably has them on their website as well

Yea they are the homedepot 6 tier shelves, 3 of them make two units. I put them together and throw away the extra parts

Ok so thanks for the video but there’s are thing, these people on tcg mark the price wayyy lower than the actual market price where to the point you can’t profit not even a cent like for example the market price might be $1 and the listings for that card might start at 0.7 like how bro. Do I put it near market price or try to beat the low price which will evidently put me at a loss. Please help.

Go for it on a new set release or a rebate weekend. I tried 3 times and was rejected on the fourth time I sent them a note with the application on my record of customer service and how many orders I process daily. They let me in and I didn’t quite make the 600 threshold
