I think my favorite naruto filler was the Bikochu beetle arc because it gave us some lore on the stone village when previously there was none. The Kamizuru clan was cool and it was great to see Hinata, shino and Kiba get some screen time.

Yeah I also seen this arc once it is a good arc it also introduced a new charka type radiation or nuclear charka a type of charka that can slowly kill anyone if they are exposed to it for way too long unless you are born with the immunity to radiation or nuclear charka then you can use it without dying and that meteor can be used as a power source as a substitute to whatever is powering Naruto world

Finally I found someone talking about the fillers in Naruto in a more positive light. I always thought they were fun to watch and expanded alot of stuff. Appreciate you talking about this. If you wanted more on side characters or the worldbuilding, these are for you Also aside from the serious stuff I like the more comedic episodes such as mecha naruto or shino laughing filler. The latter being the times I bawled out laughing, its a cheesy joke but its funny. Naruto excels at those face jokes.

The way Shippuden should have went after The Gaara mission is Naruto being tasked with a decent enough mission in every major Hidden village, that’s how you tie his story with the individual Jinchuriki’s, all while getting the occasional Akatsuki member dealt with here and there, that way by the time the war arc comes we are all familiar with the Jinchurikis, their villages, and this sets up all of the villages being allies so there is no problem teaming up to defeat Madara and Obito

I've watched almost all fillers(I'm sure I've missed some) from Naruto and Naruto Shippuden and I was happily watching it, I love fillers. It allows for the series to explore different and creative/weird ideas and concepts that the ''canon'' story never touched upon, it explored so many new places, jutstus and characters, had a lot of cool and interesting fights plus also a lot of silliness and slice of life that the ''canon'' story had less room for. But most of all, it filled in a lot of gaps in the story plus showed new perspectives from characters that wasn't focused on or could use more scenes

Og Naruto filler is okay because 100+ episodes was after canon ended so you could watch or skip it doesn't matter and it had continuous story line of getting Sasuke back from Orochimaru. In Naruto Shippuden i absolutely hated the filler how many times did they go back to 12 year old Naruto?? We already saw 100 extra episodes enough already. Fillers that occur during main story arc and ruin the pacing and pointless episodes like Mecha Naruto or 6 month journey Boat Ride to turtle island for the weekly watches was awful. Shippuden if done right had chance to give us couple more Arc's with the Konoha 13 getting its own mission a replica of OG Naruto. How good would it be to see how Kiba, Tenten, Hinata developed and the rest and maybe they could revisit Star Village or other arcs and have follow up story. The Filler usually ends with come back or lets meet again.. Its sad statement as it never true.
