The 2000 Miami WR core is one of the greatest ever. Andre Johnson Santana Moss Reggie Wayne. Thats like 2900 catches, 40k recieving yards, & 200+ recieving TDs out of 3 guys in an NFL career. Let alone the damage they did in college

@@SullyReviews5000they beat No. 15 Syracuse 59-0, No. 11 Washington 65-7, No. 13 Florida State 49-27, and more. They only struggled against BC and VT, the latter of whom was No. 14. Every team has off days, even the best. Everyone else got utterly blasted beyond belief. No, it was not just scrub teams. Plus, every single program plays a handful of scrub teams every year. Every one. This is the argument of idiots.

@@Jmoth792nobody is saying they are not an amazing team. The argument here is amazing or not they would get smashed by even the worst nfl team that year. And it’s silly to think otherwise. Any college team would lose to any nfl team. Probably 100 out of 100 times. That’s the argument here. Has nothing to do with how good of a college team they were. They were beyond amazing
@Jmoth792
@Jmoth792 Жыл бұрын
@@SullyReviews5000 it’s all moot anyway because it’s hypothetical. However, while trying to restrain my bias as a Miami fan, I would watch a game or two from the 2001 season. Preferably the one against Washington. The level of physicality of that team was unlike anything college football has ever seen. Even 1995 Nebraska, who was certainly a physically stronger team, didn’t have NFL level physicality, which is more than just strength. Miami had insane strength, speed, football IQ, and most importantly, a massive chip on their shoulder. Their play style was also closer to NFL play styles in the demanding level of athleticism and tactics. I do think they would have at least been competitive against NFL teams of the time. Keep in mind - and this is honestly the main reason I became a Miami fan in the first place - what makes the 2001 Miami team so unique isn’t just NFL talent, it’s the fact that the team basically won by themselves. Larry Coker was a first year coach at Miami and never found much success elsewhere. Randy Shannon was the defensive coordinator and he ended up being a horrible coach for Miami. That team didn’t need to be coached; they coached themselves to victory. Even the best Alabama teams of the past two decades can’t say that. Alabama is Nick Saban; without him they’d only be a decent SEC program like before 2009. 2001 Miami won through sheer talent, willpower, and knowledge of the game, and I do think they could have kept up and possibly beaten an NFL team.

this is annoying though because you're just naming people on defense Jonathan Vilma had 73 total tackles in 2001 three LSU linebackers had more on the 2019 LSU defense. what is the criteria for being the greatest team of all time because if you're just gonna talk about the defense and what they did, which was probably the greatest defense you could talk about LSU 2019 on offense being the greatest offense of all time which they were, so what is the criteria for greatest team of all time because if you look at the stats, LSU was the greatest team of all time and it's not even close. lets talk about it. stop naming the Hall of Famer's in the NFL 2019 LSU team is still in the NFL. Give them time to retire to speak on that if we're going off stats and what they did in college 2019 I wish you were the greatest team of all time and it's not close. Miami played in the big east if LSU played in the big east they would've torched teams and put up 80 points on everybody. They played in the hardest conference in hardest division in college football.

@@jc-xl4uyhow can you say that? That miami team has HoF players. Too early to tell for lsu. Looks like a couple. But careers can turn quick.

absolutely not. that miami team got out of blacksburg by their chinhairs n shoelaces to a pretty mediocre vtech team save a couple game breakers. nebraska either come on. love ed reed but he cannot cover both sides and slot against 3 elite receivers. no one can cover justin jefferson he will go down as a top 3 receiver if not in the same breath in the hof as j rice. ken dorsey throws 2 or 3 picks against elite db room that lsu is known for. joe burrow is the best cfb qb all time. miami could barely stop vick pretty much by himself that team aint stopping lsu and 95 nebraska is laughable but still top 3 all time. these athletes today would be men against toddlers in the 90s. not even close. stop it. not even an argument. let it go fellas. bless. lsu beat how many ranked programs? 8 to 10 was it? 4 of the top 5 in week 1? bruh no one came close. the alabama game was not as close as the score would indicate. they are hard to beat got a lot of heart but we ran wild on them for almost 3 quarters. after that our team was about holding back the surge they always make. we fucking wrecked georgia, Oklahoma AND clemson save 10 min of that NC . that was just nerves. LSU FANS know the truth and thats all we needed to feel good about our hard times and when alabama the media darling got into the NC without being even sec west champion much less Conference champs. we beat them on the road. come on bruh. no one can beat saban twice but now we have the upper hand in the twilight of his career and its gonna be all us and Georgia for a minute now. and we got the crown jewel of LSU football our 5th national crown and we were the first team to win 2 BCS national championships and it shoulda been 3 bama did not deserve to be there. Oklahoma state did. that shit was crininal.

That might be the only college team that might be able to beat the worst NFL team ever.

No one dimensional team beats that Miami team. Frazier was not going to beat anyone with his arm and you weren’t going to manhandle that Miami front 7. Never mind the fact that Miamis speed on O would have been a nightmare for NU to deal with. People were hyping up the 2001 Huskers as one of the better NU teams, and they got demolished. 94 was a different beast, but as we’ve seen time and time again, Miami is usually too athletic for Nebraska.

That triple option of Nebraska with Eric crouch was down 34-0 at halftime in the natty in 2001. Tommy Frazier wouldn’t of changed much. There was no running east n west on 2001 Miami. The proof is in the pudding my friend that triple option went NOWHERE

@@kwametodd6094 2001 Miami hurricanes the best ever my friend !! Our backups were better than your starters !!!! We went to the nfl and dominated as well with 11 pro bowlers from that team in the 2010 pro bowl!!! That triple option was going nowhere!! Just ask Eric crouch 34-0 at halftime !! By the way Dorsey was sacked 3 times in 21 games a historical record and we also had Bryant Mckinie who never allowed a sack in his college career and came in 5th in the heisman voting as a LT. Go do your homework now buddy. Oh and also in 2001 if we didn’t score a TD on offense we would of ended the season 8-4 😂😂😂 you better leave me alone now
