It’s not an excuse, he’s basically displaying the behaviors of a man “dating a woman knowing she just replaced her ex with you, but as soon as the ex comes back around she kicks you to the curb” the only difference is he’s paid for it, doesn’t dismiss the internalizing feeling of “being used, being effective enough to value, then discarded yet again to be asked to save the day again down the road”. Again the NFL IS a BUSINESS but this is why most men go by the mantra “you’re not allowed to display emotion” because you’ll get dragged for it every time.

The thing about Campbell leaving is that we had zero other linebackers healthy enough to actually play decently. Dee winters, our second year LB was out with injury. Dre Greenlaw started feeling soreness and had bad pains. Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles was active but had to play on an injury he got earlier in the game because Campbell was a quitter. People aren’t mad that he’s only a quitter. People are mad that Campbell is a quitter and hurt the team in the process by not going in and making Flannigan-Fowles enter the game.

Man all them guys knowing what Ward going through off the field and to see Campbell do that I am sure them guys felt a way. Just doesnt make sense man, unless somebody was incredibly disrespectful or something we dont know about then maybe i get it to a point. We see vets get cut all the time late in the season so they can catch on with another squad to make a run a bowl. If his issue was not playing or feeling like he wanted out just play that game out then go to your agent. Let your agent be the bad guy with the team, try and get you up out of there then maybe catch on with a team like the Eagles, Ravens, or Steelers. Feel like we always see them picking up veteran free agent guys who can still play.

Algorithm TBH Mike Shanahan(the father) is a horrible coach from the players aspect. He has no care about you after the final whistle on Sunday. He was notorious for ending careers early because the player needed time to fully heal, but coach would mask the pain and send them in. Knowing that it would make the injury worse and he would cut that player and do the same to the next. And don't get me started on ZONE CUT BLOCKING as his offensive line stategy.

There is no comparing football players to actually soldiers. We don't come back from war.. you get hurt, and you get paid for it. Ain’t shit going on. His ego was hurt nothing more and nothing less. Inexcusable, ward lost his child almost a month ago and is still on that field. If something was going on Campbell would’ve been said something already. Can’t make excuses for him 💯Campbell was the weakest link on the defense the ENTIRE year that’s not even a debate, only reason he had tackles was due to teams targeting him in the run game and pass game, he hasn’t had over 8 tackles in a game the entire season and Dre had over 8 tackles in the first half, it was a night and day difference without Campbell and he let that get to him

No he wasn't playing well for the 9ers. He did what they should have done. Sorry but he was messing up the whole season.. if one of the young guys could have stayed healthy enough to play should have played.
@skizmondo4 күн бұрын
From an organizational standpoint none of this makes sense if Campbell is going through something off the field, and hasnt told anyone. The locker room is way too close, and the amount of tragedy has further galvanized the core of the team. But there were also rumblings that Campbell was upset earlier in the season when he was getting replaced by Dee Winters on passing downs. Dee Winters was grading out as one of the best coverage LB's in the league, while Campbell was not. Campbell had a 250k bonus for 60% of defensive snaps. another 250k if he played 70% of the snaps. and a final 250k if he played 75% of the snaps and the team made the NFCCG game. i REALLY hope it was something personal, and hes a total bonehead who thinks keeping his problems to himself is the solution. and this is the result. because if its over a bruised ego and .5 million in incentives... career over. Maybe get a PS offer somewhere to prove youre a good teammate first, but i doubt it.
