I have a 2011 Fusion SE 2.5 as a daily. Bought it new back in 2010, just hit 220k miles. Here are the things I had to replace; 2 Batteries, PCV valve, valve cover gasket, oil pressure sending unit, coolant outlet, and here shortly I’m going to replace the thermostat and engine/transmission mounts. I’ve done all the maintenance and repairs. Pretty solid car.

I just got and I am proud to say that I'm a owner of a 2010 SE Ford Fusion with that same engine. And so far so good. I do agree that the fuel efficiency is way off way off. But I enjoy the car it has a lot of room. I do agree that if the car wasn't so heavy it will be a little faster. But I am most definitely looking forward to taking my car out of town with the mileage that it has on it, 125,000 plus miles. The only thing I've done thoughts far as change the oil and had the recall about the airbags done. But we will see this is 2022 so I most definitely have to figure out you know what's what. But I did do a Carfax report on my vehicle and there were no accidents and they did the regular scheduled maintenance on the car so the car was very well-kept. Actually, if I had to rate this vehicle so far it gets a number 10 for me.

Couple of things to note the 2.5 l engine yes it's low on power but it sure beats the 2.3 that it replaced before hooked up to the 5-speed transmission. Also I had to replace a water pump if you ever do that make sure the person knows what they are doing because that water pump is typically seized up in there and they have to apply heat to get it out just don't let them get a crowbar and start beating it out. The transmission issue you were talkin about is a common issue with the six f-35 my 2015 Ford escape with the same transmission does the same thing you just have to let the transmission warm up for a few minutes and you're good to go. Great video I wish you had more info on the radio I would like to put that kind of radio in my 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid. I really like your double DIN cover. I have a Ford Fusion 2010 hybrid the difference between mine is it is an Asin CVT transmission the engine is a 2.5 Atkinson cycle engine. It has 160,000 miles on it and shows no signs of slowing down.

I have a 2010 Fusion SE. Absolutely no problems. I did some preventative maintenance: changed the idler pulley to the three point of connection upgrade, changed the TB (because of the recall/TSB), Changed the tensioner pulley bc of whine, and added a Steeda Swaybar and strut tower brace. Also replaced the HVAC blower because of some chirping noise. Replaced the battery. Never had a problem with the 6F35 trans. I change the Mercon LV out before it turns brown/black. Both driver's and passenger airbags have been replaced due to Takada recall.

Mine completed 160000 mile today. 2011 Ford Fusion SE - 2.5L FWD. Major repairs, breaks (3 times), tires (3 times), 3 pulleys and a drive belt. Front Sway links, all the filters have been changes 2-3 times, major light bulbs have been changes once, still on original wheels and floor mats, wind screen and no transmission oil change. Synthetic Engine oil changed at every 5k-6k miles. Car is on 2nd battery. And has an engine light on for Purge Valve, due to filling the tank full all the time. Driven in Toronto winters but still has no rust on body. Underbody is neat and clean. Runs like a dream.

Mr. Brotherly Review: Nice video and review.....I know this vid is a year old but I am going to comment, Bought a 2010 Merc Milan Premier with 18 k in 2012 3.0. v-6 This vehicle along with the 88 Merc Grand Marquis LS are two of the best cars I have ever owned. 72 yrs old... Took 2yrs for the airbag recall to be resolved on the Milan waiting for parts.Another recall was the led Milan tailights. Ford replaced under a recall. Bad LED connection insides the taillight assembly. thats it. I am changing oil like clockwork, never more than 4k between changes. 5 w20 full synthetic. Valvoline. Trans service, airfilter etc. I do pull the throttle body and clean every 20 k. Vehicle has 86 k and runs and drives like new. I know 86 k is not a lot of miles but just an excellent car, 30 mpg hwy at 65 mph 23/24 mpg local driving Yes I like Mercury Had a 2000 sable with 200k body started to go.. Figures Mercury is no longer so long

I have the 07 model 2.3 liter backed by the Mazda 5 speed automatic. Just normal maintenance, at 120,000 I replaced all brake pads and rotors front struts and rear shocks , right lower ball joints the left side was done at 102,000 , and rear hubs and the valve cover gasket and plugs , has 142,570 miles oh and because of winters I replaced the left rocker panel. I don't care what vehicle you own after a 100,000 miles it's normal to replace these mentioned above unless an individual does a lot of highway driving, I live in Michigan so the combination of bad roads and winters I'm very impressed with the reliability of these cars.

Hey man! Nice review!! I really like that body style of car. It’s very good looking. Today, I picked up a 2012 Lincoln MKZ! Pretty kick ass comfortable luxury car. I sold my bright red BMW X4 M sport for it, it was just too expensive for me. I had it for over a year, and I always had to live so financially tight, that I couldn’t have any spending money. I got sick of that, so I picked up the Lincoln, for a great price. It’s a really good car. I plan to keep it for a long time. I wanted to ask you, you said you had the 2 L engine, which has been very reliable, I’m glad to hear that. Is the 3.5 L V6 engine reliable? That’s what I’ve got. Thanks!

I bought it for 900$ 86,000mi and had it for 3 years and I haven't had to change anything major just breaks, a belt that a rock popped in, reg. Oil changes, normal maintenance and a couple light bulbs and now about to get a tune up.. I've traveled to 3 states and traveled statewide. Hands down best ever. I used to have a 2011 Mercury Milan Premiere. I got the car in late June 2012. It had a little bit over 11,000 miles on it. I totaled the car by hitting a deer the 2nd time in early December 2016. It was a good car to drive in. It was the same as a Ford Fusion inside. I did wanted a Ford Fusion in 2012 that was a year old car. The dealership had about 5 of Fusions but, had almost 40,000 miles on them even a little bit higher price. I choose the Mercury Milan which had lower in mileage and even the price, too. It was my 1st car with Bluetooth and Satellite in it. Even the first with a keypad on the driver’s side door. I knew how to used a keypad on a Ford vehicle because my parents had it on their vehicles from Ford. When I first test drove the vehicle that I really liked the ride. My parents even liked driving the car, too. They did took turns in driving it. I got used to it by riding it. Right now that I’m driving a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. It is my 2nd Ford Escape. I used to have a 2015 Ford Escape but, it died on me. Before the Milan that I used to drive a 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 with SES trim level. I had that car for almost 7 years till I was in a bad car accident in early March 2012. I broke my left ankle in that accident. My first car was a 1998 Ford Contour SE that I gotten in mid October 1999. I even gotten my driver’s license in that car in mid December 1999. I had the Contour to late May 2005. I’m into Ford vehicles since I was little. My mother used to drive a Ford Pinto which was the most dangerous vehicle from Ford. My mother was a very safe driver.

The most common problems for these cars are fuel pump issues, because there built into the the camshaft (genius idea right?). Anyways, that slipping could range from transmission all the way down to a faulty spark plug.
