Is the 2020 Mercedes Benz GLB 250 a GOOD or GREAT compact luxury SUV?

We looked at it at the dealer’s. I can’t believe how roomy it is given the size. We have a senior -my mom, and I can see her getting in and out of the 2nd row very easily and fitting her mobility scooter in the back with extra space for shopping bags. Plus I like the 3rd row seat option. I’m not really interested in the leather stuff, but it’s definitely a contender for me. Currently in the market for a new lease since mine is ending in May.

I have a 2021 almost the same color. I have all the options, fully loaded ,yes l enjoy driving it sometimes I get a little gutsy because I had the G L S 450 before wich is quite a bit bigger ,parking is much easier because of the size. But l love the Mercedes ,all of them .

Not just an ordinary 8 speed automatic. It's actually a Dual Clutch 8 speed transmission. With 4 drive modes. Good and useful info you missed on. Great feature especially on a sporty luxury suv starting at 36k.

Ventilated seats are an option with different leather. You can see that by the blank button on the door where it would be. This particular model had the Alcantara seat inserts which won't get ventilation as an option. Ergo, don't zonk it if it's an option, or could not have been optioned with it to begin with.

Jyorhan Greene you may do better to get it when they put it on lease special. Outright owning a used vehicle is a costly mistake in these days of rapid vehicle development. If you do t like a car you can easily give it back after lease. If you like it you can buy it after the lease. You will also get huge incentives upgrading an expired lease but your timing needs to be right and you have to shop on the internet and make your first contact through the internet. Also. The tax aspect with a lease is nice because you pay tax on the part that you use and doesn’t take a huge loss when you sell the vehicle

I absolutely adore my 2020 GLB. It's a great, compact Mercedes SUV, with amazing window and mirror visibility (way beyond C-class by ANY measure), good economy, comfort, and styling. It's not without faults though. Nothing is, but I can't complain too much at that price. I could, and probably should, but I still absolutely love it. I drove both sedans and C SUVs and if I had to choose again, which I will soon need to, I will no doubt 100% go for the B unless Mercedes f-ks it up somehow. I genuinely love this year and model and wish they kept the styling through to today and forward (as of August 2024). Today's models are, sadly, not as sexy in my humble opinion. Cheers, good peeps!

Nice review on the exterior and drive. I was hoping to get a better look at the console, tho. When a vehicle has an unusual cockpit, that should be focused on. I can't see the shifter in any of the stock pictures, and you just said you didn't really like it, but didn't really show it or the mouse pad where one would expect the shifter to be. Just something to consider in future videos.

$51k will make me go gray. No ventilated seats or wireless charging. Too many zonks for a vehicle at that price point. Otherwise it’s a nice compact SUV. Love the colors. The paddles in these new vehicles puzzle me. Another outstanding video by the KZbin genius.

This vs 2020 GLC 300? Glc is a bit faster 0-60, a little wider and tad longer, but glb is taller. Glc likely has fewer rattles etc. which would you get?

I would prefer the Mazda 6. Looks nicer and will handle better. They have better road manners and its bullet proof. But if you can, spring for the 2.5 turbo. But the regular 2.5 still does well enough. Sonata will have a better warranty if that is important to you. Both are nice cars. I'd test drive both if I were you.
