I own a Gen5 SS that's 12 years old and I'm seriously considering the Gen6 V6. I think the performance would be more than adequate. I used to have a 2016 Camaro RS with a V6, NPP and Brembos. I loved it so much and this is coming from a prior Toyota and Lexus owner, which I didn't always like those cars. I was going to grab a ZL1 until the problems started. The NPP rattled so much, the cylinder deactivation failed two times (solenoids) and had to be replaced, the thermostat failed and had to be replaced, the transmission failed and was rebuilt, and the cars infotainment would randomly restart. I traded it in with 5K miles for my Impala V6 with 6 speed. Haven't missed my 2018 RS. I do miss my 2013 V6 Camaro drop top style & interior room was better (easier to get out in parking spaces). Redline is a waste of $$, gimmicky. I can see why Camaro is ending, what a miss step downsizing. They want to 86 the V6 and T4 and V8, the numbers aren't there. Woohoo another Camaro review! I just love this car. It's a bummer they're going away. *sigh*

I'm planning to order one in the next few months. Not necessarily redline, but a Camaro.

So much better than Dodge's embarrassing "Blacktop" edition.

Not TOO bad for the money….. you got an awesome look moderate performance and you’re not gonna KILL yourself in it…. Just like you said a newer driver it’s perfect!!!

AHH Dimmit Chevrolet....brings back sweet memories of when I strolled in there back in June 2008, and bought myself the gorgeous Z06 427 in black sitting in their showroom.... and burned rubber all the way up US19. The 7 litre naturally aspirated engine didn't need a break in period. They were good to go.
