The Zl1 Looks like a ricer car with that ugly/big ass spoiler on the back and those wicker splits in the front. I’d rather get a regular 2ss 1le since those look way nicer then the zl1, and then just add a Hennessy supercharger for the same price in total as the zl1. 750hp instead of 650 AND it doesn’t look like a goddamn ricer car for the same exact price as a stock Zl1. The zl1 is not worth it.

I think this was probably the first ZL1 video I saw while waiting for delivery of my ZL1. Almost identical but I decided that my time on the track wasn't going to warrant the 1LE, but it is still a great road worthy vehicle. Considering that the current MSRP of a ZL1 is now closer to $70K, your timing was almost as good as mine (Closer to $63K for my 2022). I also recommend the manual, but probably not for the same reasons. The automatic is fine from a stop, but the Camaro is so dramatic from a dig that in order to get the best launch, you're drawing way too much attention to yourself. The manual, on the other hand you have to thread the needle to get a good launch, so much that it keeps you from feeling that you have to take off like a bat out of hell at each stoplight. With the manual on the highway, it' makes for the ultimate GT as being in the right gear and not having to wait for a downshift is much more predictable. I hope you're still enjoying this great vehicle, as EVs are slowly displacing these types of vehicles.

You’re gonna get a million recommendations about upgrades. But, a VERY EASY one that you should consider is a throttle controller. It makes a HUGE difference in throttle response and brings this car to life. Just my $0.02. Beautiful car buddy!!

Man, you sure enjoyed that 😸. I enjoyed you enjoying it and being so excited about it 😊. I’ve got an LS, and even though it’s bottom of the line, it handles like a dream, like I could never have imagined a car hugging curves so great, when I start to fishtail that positive traction (?) (I’m thinking it’s called something else though) pulls it right back inline. I’ve won every challenge on the streets of Atlanta I’ve provoked a Camaro owner that pulled up next to me to race, and they were all 1SS or 2SS and I beat the brakes off of them in a quarter mile. Of course they were all dang close once we hit the straightaway, like a split hair 😬. I wonder about that sometimes. When I get a new car I push it to its limits because I feel like I need to know how it will handle in any given situation,so maybe it’s because I pretty much know the limits of my car, and maybe because I have a manual tranny. Okay, I’m an adrenaline junkie and I’m getting a rush just talking about it. My very first car at age 17 was a 77 Trans Am, V8, 4 barrel carburetor, and when I felt the horses and the sheer power, I didn’t care much about where the breaks were 😹😹😹. Man, can I ask you a question? Eventually I’ll have myself in a Zl1, I’ll be 58 soon, but I just want to race. Not with the slicks with the funny looking wheels on the back, not around and around and around, but lots of sharp curves and straightaways. Do you know what kind of racing I could get into? And where I could find professional training? And am I too old to start racing? Anyway, thx for the video, it was fun watching.

Chevrolet has really hit a home run with the Camaro ZL11LE. It does not have the horsepower like the Ford Mustang GT500 or Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye, but it can actually outperform both of them on the racetrack. That Cadillac-designed Alpha platform on that Camaro is just incredible. It can handle that much power on any road course...it is absolutely perfect for that LT4. An LT5-equipped Camaro would absolutely destroy import supercars on a racetrack. Maybe a 6-speed manual LT5 Camaro IROC-Z? Chevrolet needs to put one out now-it would be like a Barbaric Warlord!!!

I own a ‘19 1Le. I installed the AWE track exhaust w/AWE link pipes and the car sounds like a beast - Stock sounds like a Camry in comparison. Also, a Roto Fab performance air intake and it’s the best setup for sure. I’ve owned a lot of euro and more expensive cars. This is by far in my top 3 performance wise for the money. The interior is okay but that’s not why your buying the car. It’s a pure track beast. Second fastest track time around Nurburgring in 2018 and it beat alot of Porsches and mclarens. Enough said.

Joe the review is awesome but I have one complaint. You said the trunk is small but I can fit two lawn chairs, my cleaning bag, helmet bag, and over night bag with the rear seats up. I put the rear seats down and can fit a 10’x10’ pop tent in as well. Also for everyone saying the interior is small, I am 6’8” and I road course my Camaro!

I like how the regular ss 1le looks better then the zl1. I don’t like those wicker splits in the front and that thing on the hood. I also hate that big ass spoiler on the back it makes the zl1 look like a ricer car. I prefer the satin black spoiler on the regular ss 1le and the cleaner look of the hood with the satin black wrap without those wicker splits sticking out of the grill. The camaro isn’t mean to have a big ass spoiler it looks ridiculous. Other then that nice car though and obviously the performance is better. I’d rather just get a regular ss 1le and get a Hennessy supercharger so it gets 750 hp AND looks better though.

Just get a supercharger bro and it’ll have 100 plus more hp and still look better then the zl1. Hennessy has supercharger kits that give it anywhere from 750-1000 hp. For the price of that supercharger you’d still save money over trading up and you would have a better looking car. The regular ss 1le looks better then the zl1. The zl1 looks like a ricer car with that ridiculous spoiler and those wicker splits.

That 12V placement is insane, drives me insane. Why don't car makers start putting 2 12v lighter adaptors up rucked away on the dash to the left or right for things like dashcams and radar detectors... still they don't. I've had to run all sorts of wires along cars. However, love this car and didn't realise this is what you owned Joe, looks fantastic!!! That's a nice looking engine bay as well!

It’s great to see the emotions this car brings out in people. I bought one in 2018 and I compare it to a theme park ride. It gets you excited just knowing you’re about to drive it. It’s the same feeling I get when waiting in line for a roller coaster. I get anxious and excited just standing by it, then once your in it’s like a roller coaster. This car will make you scream, laugh and it really gets the adrenaline pumping. The suspension makes it feel like it’s on rails. Such an awesome car. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I have a 2013 Mustang GT (6spd) I bought new & added a Ford Racing supercharger to (makes 624hp). Supercharger added at 1k miles, car has 102k miles now. Can relate to this that traction is nearly impossible off the line regardless of the tires I put on it. What an awesome car though 6spd and 600+hp. I had never owned a car for more than about 2yrs before I got this one. Owned it for 8+years now & want to hold it for even longer. Been extremely reliable, too despite the power.

Btw, The Chevy Blazer is based on this Camaro and the Chevy Equinox is based on the Malibu. The 2022 Chevy Blazer is gonna have an (optional) black 2 tone roof and the 2022 Chevy Equinox is gonna have an RS trim level and a slight redesign. Some cars I can think of are getting redesigned for 2022 and some car brands are adding a few new models for 2022.

Imagine, a cop pulls you over and says, “You’re ridin’ the hell out that car ain’t ya? License and registration please…” Goes to his car, writes you a ticket and says, “Have a good day sir, check the back of your ticket for any additional information..” and an hour or so later, you read the ticket, and the ticket reads, “Let me take it for a drive, brother” with his name and phone number. 😂

Got pulled over by Highway patrol in my Zl1 1LE doing 120, first ride I gave my Dad. Explained to the officer, said he understood, said nice car and left. Received no ticket and thankful I didn't go to jail.

@@wiltroutw that’s sick man, I’m sitting over here with a sxt challenger, sadly. But on my way to work, running late I decided to put it in sport mode and hit about 140-150. Guy pulled me over when I got to my job and said “man I been following you, well, trying to keep up for the longest. Is there ANY reason why you’re driving so fast man?” I told him straight up, I’m just trying to get to work lol. He then says, “Man you were doing 150 in a 60 and that’s on the feeder road, the slowest you went was 120 and that was in a 40, you have GOT to slow it down man! But nice car!” We laughed and I said alright officer then he proceeded to tell me I’ll just get a warning. Scariest day of my life so far, when I told my boss he just laughed and said, “You better be lucky you aren’t in jail man, that’s a felony”. Btw, plan on trading it in soon, I think I want the Camaro LT1 now!

@@RaitisRides I just had it dyno tuned with the cold air intake, kooks straight pipes. It sounds absolutely 🤪. Best GM car out there. I've had stingray and grand sport but this is my favorite.

Its not a “muscle car” it’s considered a sports car. Muscle cars dont have giant spoilers on the back for downforce lol. The camaro and mustang are made to go around curvy tracks as fast as they can. Olny actual muscle car on the market is the dodge challenger which is built for the straight line.
