What about tunes for smart shock cars? Will there ever be a tune for those or will it be an ECU change and lose the shock feature?

They have tunes for the 21 models, there was something about when it was made ( before Dec) the have ( afternoon Dec) not sure. Maybe by now they got it!!

How can you dyno a cvt? And is the dyno modified or is it just put on like a normal car

I am a little out of my league here, but what is the helix ? I picked up the 2022 xrs smart shox and can’t wait to do a tune and launch control. But I thought the pdrive was the main difference in power feel ? What’s the point of the pdrive than

You have two clutches. A primary and a secondary. The 22s still has the same secondary as older models but the steeper helix angle on the 22s lowers the rpm down.

@@johnboticki9154 couple KZbin videos have put the new clutches on older models and said they bolt right up and had no issues. That’s all the info I have and can go on. Adrenaline cycles is one channel that has done it with success.

2022 rr has stronger rods and a slight turbo adjustment, did you account for those?

I work on X3's. The 2022 had no change to the turbo or the rods. Only the plate that connects the radius rods to the frame. The 5 extra horse is from a tune change. Anyone that tells you different is wrong. I do know the new rzr pro r has beefier radius rods. ....maybe thats what you are thinking of?

Same rods and same turbo and no horsepower diffrence from anything managing the motor. The new clutch could create alittle more power to the wheels but highly doubtful. The “i work on canam’s” guy is a yes man.

General clutch tuning: 2 Grams of weight per flyweight (6 grams total for three flyweights @ 8,000 RPM) = approximately 100 RPM *** Add mass RPM goes down. Reduce mass RPM goes up *** 20 pounds of spring force in either the primary or secondary = approximately 100 RPM ***Add spring RPM goes up. Reduce spring RPM goes down*** 2 degrees of cam angle = approximately 100 RPM. ***Add cam angle RPM goes down. Reduce cam angle RPM goes up*** Keep in mind changing one characteristic of the CVT system will affect other aspect of CVT performance I.E engagement RPM and harshness, torque sensing/back shifting, belt force and peak engine RPM. Use this as a guideline to fine-tune your set-up.

I recently changed out my 37/50 base 120 helix with the 48-52 rr helix and added a gboost 250/465 spring for the secondary and I got way more belt grip and smoothness with this setup but down low I lost a lot of rpm. My primary clutch has two 46 gram 120 oem weights and 4 60.5 gram 172 oem weights and I’m still using the primary oem spring. It runs very good and my worlds best belt stays cool with the setup but down low up until 40ish it only pulls 7-7100 rpm then at about 60mph and over I see 76-7800 but That was on a 91 octane tune at 16-17 psi but now I just got a new tune for 20psi for 110 octane so it hopefully should get me up in rpm
