Yet history seems to be repeating itself. The Hummer H2 was the least fuel efficient vehicle you could buy back then. Now the Hummer EV is the least efficient EV you can buy. The Hummer EV emits more CO2 than a gas powered Chevy Malibu. You might ask how? Fully electric vehicles with no gasoline engine (which we will refer to as EVs) get their power from the electric grid. And in the United States, about 60% of electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels. Until the grid is completely carbon-free, there will be emissions from generating the electricity to run EVs, known as upstream emissions.

The carbon footprint for this EV suv is insane. Anyone who is truly green needs to keep this vehicle 15 years to make it carbon neutral. The batteries are huge. The amount of energy required to make this vehicle is unbelievable.

Huge all electric performance! 0-60 in 3 secs! Being an EV it has 4 times the efficiency vs a normal gas engine Hummer. Very cheap to charge at home (~$15). Increasingly these will be charged with zero emission power which is ramping up each year.

It’s nice but just try and charge it,it takes days to charge and the amount of electricity used is amazing this came from someone who has one , Joe if you had the money for a big toy it’s fine but not for a regular vehicle no normal person goes to work three days a week and leaves enough for charging for four and in winter up north I’d imagine the electric use would be higher .

I'm sure the crab-walk will go the way of the Dodo bird ... a similar example from the past ... can't recall the exact year ....but one year the Honda Prelude introduced "4WS" (Four Wheel Steering) and once the novelty wore off, nobody really cared (or wanted it)... never to be seen again ...too much complexity for the added benefit ... Just ONE big question, How good will it be when all the electronics fail, even the motors that power it? I'll bet it'll be not a fan of futuristic trucks especially if there's no strong, long termed warranty to have a piece of mind with an grossly, overpriced truck to begin with. Unless customers would lease it instead of buying, reliability over long term would be a highly questionable purchase. Just my 2 cents....

please note the worst handling vehicle I ever owned was a 72 VW SuperBeetle ... I drove that thing hard around corners and if you were daydreaming at the wheel you could easily swap ends ... not a fast car but all that weight/mass over the rear wheels caused it to do funny things at speed...
