Is the 2022 GMC Hummer the KING of performance trucks?

The Hummer name makes a return but in a different way for 2022. On the outside you will find all LED lighting, off-road wheels/tires, removable roof panels and multi-position tailgate. On the inside there is a ton of tech, and great materials. Powering the Hummer EV are (3) electric motors. Is the 2022 GMC Hummer the KING of all performance trucks?

Yet history seems to be repeating itself. The Hummer H2 was the least fuel efficient vehicle you could buy back then. Now the Hummer EV is the least efficient EV you can buy. The Hummer EV emits more CO2 than a gas powered Chevy Malibu. You might ask how? Fully electric vehicles with no gasoline engine (which we will refer to as EVs) get their power from the electric grid. And in the United States, about 60% of electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels. Until the grid is completely carbon-free, there will be emissions from generating the electricity to run EVs, known as upstream emissions.

The carbon footprint for this EV suv is insane. Anyone who is truly green needs to keep this vehicle 15 years to make it carbon neutral. The batteries are huge. The amount of energy required to make this vehicle is unbelievable.

The performance is amazing considering how big and heavy it is. I personally would go for the Rivian pick up just because of the size, I think this is huge for the streets.

Huge all electric performance! 0-60 in 3 secs! Being an EV it has 4 times the efficiency vs a normal gas engine Hummer. Very cheap to charge at home (~$15). Increasingly these will be charged with zero emission power which is ramping up each year.

It’s nice but just try and charge it,it takes days to charge and the amount of electricity used is amazing this came from someone who has one , Joe if you had the money for a big toy it’s fine but not for a regular vehicle no normal person goes to work three days a week and leaves enough for charging for four and in winter up north I’d imagine the electric use would be higher .
