Today I am checking out 2022 Honda CRV EX-L. Even though it is at the very end of this model cycle, it still impresses with features, styling and innovation. After much research, I traded in my 2019 Jeep Compass for a CR-V. I went to the dealership in hopes of going home with a 2022, but with such a shortage, it wasn’t possible. I did, however, purchase a 2019 with very low miles and all the options I could have hoped for. After almost 3 weeks, I can say I’ll have this thing until the wheels fall off. Absolutely stunning vehicle in all aspects!

Hey CR-V mate. You made a good decision in the trade. I had many cars from different brands but there's no reliability and durability like Honda and Toyota. Footnote here… None of these models are equipped with lights on the door panels. Its actually a nice touch on vehicles. Kind of annoyed at it after buying it.

@@MattTheCarguy No Matt, not ambient. I referring to the lights that come on the door panels themselves to light up entry into the car. CRVs didnt design the doors with lights on them.

Very good review. Just bought the 2022 today. I would have loved this model to come with standard LEDS on the low and high beams. Also the sound system would have been a nice touch as well. Performance wise it rides nicer than the Tucson and Rav 4. Mazda Cx5 rode like a sports-car and goes for a lot more money. CRV def best in this class.

6:59 - Just found out the Honda CRV Hybrid does not include a spare tire/kit. THAT is a deal breaker for me. Honda loses a life long fan. Luckily the Toyota RAV4 hybrid retains the spare tire. Switching reluctantly to Toyota.

Does it still have the space for it? Some manufacturers don't include it to reduce weight and gain gas mileage but leave the space empty. You could add it if it does have the space

It is tough ! I am starting to see prices move downwards slowly as the fed is hiking the rate up. Plus 2023 will be all new for Cr-v so that should give you some leverage for 2022 model.

The ones in the video come standard from the factory, tge other 2 are expensive as they go up a size to 19 inch and will require different size tires. If you hate the "flower" ones your best choice would be to go aftermarket where you can find decent rims for

Hmm they call it a smartphone now lol. But seriously GPS is now subscription based or you can use Android Auto or Apple carplay for free. Most manufacturers now dont equip their vehicles with CD player on favor of digital media through your smartphone or memory stick.

@@MattTheCarguy for one the seat doesn't work for shore people like me. I had a 2020 Ford Escape Titanium. When I set the seat for me and turned off the car it would slide back so I could get out. This one doesn't do that so I have to spend some time playing with the seat to work for me. I have to put it back manually set it then when I get back in I have to play with it to adjust it for me. If I get a phone call while I'm in the house and go out to the car and start the car it doesn't go to the car. I have to try to make it work manually ..it doesn't work

@@barbd3488 as far as i know the Cr-v Touring has memory seats that retract knce you turn off the vehicle for easier exit and entry. Not sure about the bluetooth but i would imagine its the same system as in my 2019 Honda Pilot and it switches with no issues to bluetooth once i get in the car. My wife had similar problem with her old phone but once upgraded it works fine. What model do you have. Your ford was the top trim.

@@MattTheCarguy I asked about the touring model and they told me it is the same as the one I got. My phone is an iPhone 12 Pro Max and that is top of the line. I guess I’m stuck for now with a very expensive car. It’s to bad there is a very annoying expense for something that really doesn’t work for me. I lose

@@barbd3488 I am sorry it does not work for you. Touring is the only one with memory seats which move back when you turn off the engine or unlock the vehicle. It is a feature not available on the lower trims. If you are having Bluetooth issues maybe contact your Honda dealer and have them diagnose the issue. I hope you'll get this worked out. In the worst case scenario if you are unhappy with the vehicle you can trade in in for a different one. Good part about Honda is that they keep their value really high.
