YES! My only regret since going electric is the convenience of simply filling up and hitting the road. I love to go for long drives and explore far away cities, so imagine having to stop and charge for 4 hours before you can proceed =/ Other than that its stellar.

@@alexandracummings2105 that was one thing going to EV that forced me change my 'lifestyle'. but with fast DC chargers popping up faster and faster, it's become less and less of a 'con'. I also was able to confuse the boss to install a Level 2 charger at work (for free!).
@Antiguan_Dart
@Antiguan_Dart Жыл бұрын
@@alexandracummings2105 The beauty of the 800 volt architecture of the E-GMP platform used by Genesis is a 10-80% charge on a 350kW charger ( the type common place now on trunk roads) is done in as little as 18 minutes and your good for another 200+ miles. For most people that would mean their bladder has a shorter range than the GV60. Even the Highway Code suggests you have a 20-30 minute break every couple of hours of driving! Good vehicle Efficiency and Charge speed do a good job negating range concern. Indeed my rear wheel drive, 228 bhp petrol Mazda Rx-8 only had a range of 275 miles. The RWD GV60 with the same bhp but considerably more torque has a longer range on a single charge.

Thanks for a succinct enthusiastic review. (Note in the UK there is a single motor RWD option.) Being from the same stable as the Kia EV6 and Ioniq5 one immediately knows it’s going to be a great car but where it really shines is the quality of the interior. In both the EV6 and Ioniq5 you don’t feel like the quality of the interior is consistent with the £40K+ price tag. Which is why after my initial reservation on a Kia EV6 I am now considering a Genesis GV60. Same Korean stable but an emphasis on quality feel. Sure I’ll have to forego some features like AWD for 2WD, 20” wheels for 19” to remotely get in the same budget but the quality feel is there. I first saw the GV60 at Farnborough Fully Charged UK Live 2022 show (end of April) and the quality interior just makes you go “wow”! The GV60 doesn’t have a moving centre console, nor sliding adjustable rear seats, nor the ability to collapse the rear seats from the boot nor a below boot floor stow-able parcel shelf and has less boot space than either of its cousins. But with all the options selected you get the following above and beyond the EV6 or Ioniq5; A mind blowing Napa leather and Suede luxury interior, quality feeling and looking switch gear, Sat Nav charger destination battery pre-conditioning, OTA of virtually all computer systems, an updated more contemporary looking and functioning infotainment interface, heat-pump, rear laminated glass, B&O sound system with noise cancellation technology, finger print recognition, driver memory functions which include steering wheel position settings ( as has powered reach and rake steering wheel), 5 years road side assist and 5 years servicing! The GV60 gets a panoramic roof which in size sits between that of the massive sized one in the Ioniq5 and the opening but smaller sunroof of the EV6. And the rear seats do recline considerably. Such a choice from this Korean stable you pays your money and makes your choice for styling and feature variations. I almost wish I could get a mash of the three.

Depends on the chemistry of the battery. Lithium ion batteries with NCA (nickel-cobalt-aluminum) and NCM (nickel-cobalt-manganese) cathode last for about 300k miles with 80% capacity while those with LFP(lithium-iron-phosphate) are estimated to last close to a million miles. As far as I know most of kia-Hyundai cars use NCM batteries. So you should except 90% capacity at 100kmile and 80-90% at 250k miles.

No snow globe, but there is a cool design. Rear wiper / washers should go as a team, I agree. Range with 800 volt architecture is about 250-300 miles. If you want longer range, that’s more batteries which makes the car heavier. I live the blind spot camera integrated in the dash. I’m surprised no one else has copied that yet. Door handles are a design element that is unique to each brand. The Mach e is unique as well. I have no preference. Thanks for the questions. Btw, all caps is yelling in social media.😊😁

I’ve watched several videos on the performance model and no one has yet to say just how much drain there is on the battery. I hope someone will let us know. Like is using it equivalent to burning 50 miles worth of juice out of the battery in those 10 seconds or what? Or is it more like 10 or 20 miles worth electricity burned? It already has the least of miles in the range of 235, verses the ‘Advanced’ edition that has 245 range. Using the boost could really set you back.

Good job overall. My only concern is that the 'handling' section of the video is actually a wide range of topics and, more importantly, you didn't push the car hard at all. Other reviewers have pushed it hard in corners and have found that while the car has excellent acceleration (especially using boost and launch control in the Advanced version), the cornering wasn't close to the level of straight line performance. That's not a deal breaker by any means, but I would suggest putting it through its paces a little bit more if you're doing a comprehensive review.

It's nice.. but why buy that when you can spend half of that 70k and not reach its costs in 3 to 4 years when trading in for new vehicle. I have an accord touring which cost me 32k costing me under 8 hundred to operate annually.. in 5 years I will end up spending approximately 40k on the top end in ownership and operating costs plus V6 touring gets 560 miles before refueling.

Front is a bit odd to me. The very nose of the car looks a bit bland a bit like the new nissan 350z to plain on the front. This looks like a macan and with some Bentley styling with the double stripe lights look. Like the neon green like colour but it doesn't suit this car.

There are no level 3 chargers around it will take an hour to charge. Tesla has the super chargers and it is a fraction of the price to charge. 3rd party chargers are more than gas . 😂 And 235 mile range on the hyandu is a joke

Hyundai , Kia , Toyota , and Lexus are going to put GM, Ford, and Chrysler completely out of the car business , with SUV to follow. Soon, only old people or stockholders will even look at their stuff.......🧐🤔🙄🤣🤣 controls and screens are similar to other hyundai and kia vehicles. i could literally step out of my kona N into this and it is almost exactly the same.

Somehow it hasn’t happened over the last 40 years, won’t happen ever. Now with Toyota/Lexus becoming dependent on BMW for their electrified line up, battery or hydrogen. Koreans making low quality overpriced cars, gussied up from the outside only, but what’s underneath is like Mazda, only made to look good, technology is so behind it’s only good for those who can afford a lease, and Koreans give the best deals for those who can’t live within their means.

911 turbo s 0-100mph is 5.3 secs. So on this car, 0-100mph is nowhere near 4 secs. Check your facts.
