Is the 2023 Land Rover V8 Carpathian Edition performance SUV worth it?

THE NEW Defender V8 is here and Land Rover is bringing big time power. On the outside you will find the familiar lines of the Defender with the addition of black accents, rock guards, 22in wheels and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside there is an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, and special interior. Under the hood is a 5.0L supercharged V8 pumping out 550HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2023 Land Rover V8 Carpathian Edition performance SUV worth it?

@@bernardking13 No way. I’ve driven a Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. They are nice but I still prefer an Escalade or Yukon Denali over them both. This style is so different that’s why I like it.

Brilliant review! When they said that they were going to re-do the defender, I though they would mess it up. They nailed every single bit. Then they put the 5l s/c in there. An absolute masterpiece! We’ll done. All I have to do now is win the lottery.

I’ve always been a fan of the Rover SUVs. The off-road capabilities and features the company has developed are some of the best in the industry. Everything about this car is what a Rover fan would hope to get in their SUV; aside from the horrible MPG. I guarantee if told anyone that I owned an SUV that had a 14/19 MPG here in California, where the Gas is over $6/Gal, they’d choke on whatever they were eating. This car is a beast of a machine and anyone would be lucky to have it. Keep up the superb car reviews Raiti.

Thought about Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro, but this One ☝🏻 kicks butt. No worries about all the rubber mats, nets behind the front seats because that’s so you can hose it down inside when muddy. I heard it has water drains on the floor inside…😘👌

U can get extra seats in a 110 model. 2 seats, 7 in total But Row 3 Room not massive No problem for kids, but tight for tall people / adults. OR The new 130 model has more length at the rear More boot space and proper room in Row 3 Adults can fit And Row 3 in the 130, seats 3 people, 8 seats in total

Great video Joe. This Defender looks awesome. Such a stunning presence. The 5 litre Supercharged motor will probably only be available for another 2 years ? JLR are now starting to use the BMW 4.4 V8 in their vehicles. This BMW V8 is in new RR & RR Sport. Future Defender SVR models will have the BMW V8. BTW, in previous generation Defender, that ceased production in January 2016, the 2 door 90 model, had a wheelbase of 90 inches. 4 door 110 model, had a wheelbase of 110 inches, and 130 model was … In this all new model, wheelbase length is different. They just use the 90 & 110 & 130 designation, as it’s what people are used to.
