My first manual drive was back in 1997 or 98, it was my friends 86 mustang 5.0 in black primer. The noise and the torque through the rear wheels back then for a 16 year old was wild. The gas pedal with the noise and pull was intoxicating. I havent driven a mustang since, but cant imagine how fast they feel now comparitively. The SOUND of this new one is amazing!
@302Mustang135 ай бұрын
The Coyote accelerates hard. It might seem a little soft initially at speed when you push on the throttle, but going through the gears is quick and pins you in the seat. I've had my Coyote 5.0 Mustang for 11 years and could never get rid of it. Be warned if you test drive one you might not want to leave without it.

@kennetho5393 if I was 10 years younger or without kids I'd have got one. I love mustangs of almost every generation. Instead, I just secured a shelter green Ranger Raptor to be built in july so I can do dad/light truck stuff and have some fun too
@302Mustang135 ай бұрын
@@bryy2053 Sounds like a good alternative. I have three kids and have had a Mustang as a second vehicle since 19, although I took a few years off after the second. My 7 year old gets mad if I don't take the Mustang out. One word to describe Coyote acceleration I use is explosive.
@bryy20535 ай бұрын
@kennetho5393 thanks man. Wife, 2 young kids, 2 dogs and up here in the Northeast, not very good roads to be kind. I got sick of running the crack and pothole slalom 6 mos of the year so a sports car would definitely be a 3rd vehicle for us. My corvette has sat in the garage for 8 years. I don't have time for it unfortunately

What you wanted back then were the shiny wheels - Crager SS, chrome reverse if you didn't have that kind of money, and if you didn't have any money you had black steelies. Wow Joe you really make great videos. Love your positive attitude and enthusiasm for the Mustang GT. The AE had a manly tone and it improves when you delete the resonator and replace it with an H-pipe or even the X-pipe. I like the new blue color and these 20 inch aluminum wheels are great. If I get an S650 it will always include the Performance package option and magna-ride suspension. I have two manual sports cars now. I am leaning towards the faster 10R80 Automatic transmission and just daily this car with Kooks headers and Borla AE S-Type catback or maybe the AWE Switch-path cat-back. I would enjoy meeting you guys at a big car show and sharing cool car stories. Great work by you and Lori‼️👍💪🇺🇸😎Cheers Bro‼️

One of the very few manual sports cars left. I just bought a 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder with a 5 speed manual and 79,000 miles. I was looking at a bunch of Miatas, but they felt too claustrophobic with the top up. They also were way overpriced. I found the MR2 at a local dealer who couldn't sell it because it needed shocks and tires on all 4 corners. I got it for $9100 plus tax. If the dealer would have replaced the shocks, and tires he could have sold it for probably $11,500 +. The shocks, and tires cost me about $1,200, and that's retail. I will never understand how some dealers think.

I driven a 1993 Nice Green Mustang GT in 1994 to Toronto from the Atlantic Provinces took 20 hours we took turns driving. I found the seats were to low and the dash was so high I am 5'10 I loved the sound of it and the Drive was so good and smooth The car you are talking about That is my Favorite Shade of Blue I can't drive a 6 Speed unless it's automatic I can drive a 5 Speed . First time i driven a Stick shift was in 1992 my Brother taught me how to drive a 5 Speed in 20 mins the Funny part is when stopping at the lights for the first time in a 5 Speed what does it do it jerks and turns off . The only way to learn is keep trying also didn't help when i had a line of cars honking the horns . Love the Inside of that Mustang noticing the Dash is high on that one as well Your funny Gobstoppers are they Jawbreakers 🤣 Would have been cool if it had White Interior with the car being blue and all I need to ask a Question I have been seeing Videos on KZbin that the Trans Am Firebird is back for 2025 is that fake I didn't click on the video figured it would have been Click Bate Would you be shocked if a cop is hiding behind a tree with the radar gun for speeding Great Video

I was looking for a replacement for my 2021 widebody scat shaker manual that I regretfully sold almost two years ago. Due to not driving it much. So I gave this a try bc the prices have been steadily dropping on them. This car def lacked the low end torque that the challenger has. The manual transmission was ok. The one I drove had the recaro seats. I ended the test drive early bc I was so uncomfortable in them. They had plenty of other manuals with the regular seats. But they were buried in by so many other cars. My overall feeling of this car is that it drives nice. Shifts good. But it didn’t quite move me like my challenger did. So I passed

Something that is the case, at least here in RI. A 10-speed automatic is a $1595 option. But the 6-speed for some reason is subject to the Gas Guzzler tax at $595. So, something to consider when you're shopping. What surprised me is I ended up paying $5K under MSRP for my GT convertible and 20 miles away they had a surcharge of $5000 for all their GTs. Crazy.

It looks really good. I just prefer the retro aspects of fifth generation. But that's just my opinion. I know all the modern technology and sleek body lines is perfect for some people. Depends on your preference. I have a 2014 that doesn't have safety features like blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, or even back up camera. It's definitely worthwhile to buy a more modern Mustang. Some of the technology can really help avoid accidents and maybe save your life. But I just like the retro fifth generation better.

I'm with Joe on this one ... I've never considered the Mustang (inc the GT) as a "SPORTS CAR" ... as for the GT, folks rarely mention its handling prowess and most seem obsessed with it's straight line performance, flat-plane-crank and blah-blah-blah which to my eyes smacks of "MUSCLE CAR" not "SPORTS CAR" ... what do I consider a SC these days? ....as Joe mentioned Corvette is one, others are Civic TYPE-R, WRX TR, COROLLA GR, CIVIC SI, and the throwback MX-5, all of those being enthusiast fun-to-drive vehicles. How many times have I rented a Mustang from Hertz and those non-GT models are the furthest thing from a SC, most driving like a 2-door coupe version of a generic underpowered Taurus ... last but never least ... Ford please do something about that whimsical spaceship digital dash ...last but never least#2 ... the price for the GT has consistently crept up over the years ... is it worth it??? ... as for the best manual??? ... nope ... TYPE-R is sitting in the pole position...
