Is the 2024 Genesis GV80 Coupe the BEST new luxury SUV to buy?

This is hands down the most attractive Coupe SUV I've ever seen. Genesis really knows what they're doing when it comes to design and I would take it over any other Coupe SUV simply from a design perspective. Also, I think it'd be silly of them not to offer the GV80 Coupe with a carbon fiber roof as an option as well as give it more power to make the vehicle more competitive. However, I don't see that bracing in the back making it to the final production model. But I can see the Koreans giving the GV80 Coupe a bit of that N performance spiciness since Hyundai owns Genesis.

I don't know. I kind of like the previous design a little bit more. Maybe it's the plasticy headlights that aren't doing it for me.

@@PimpSolja49 It's not classified as a coupe SUV. It's considered a compact SUV. Furthermore, it doesn't have the "sportback" hatch liftgate that coupe SUVs usually have. Not to mention that the Macan's roofline doesn't slope downwards to the same degree as a GLC Coupe.

Man that is one of the sexiest sport suvs I think I've ever seen, definitely up there with the Urus and RS Q8 but in general Genesis fashion, half the price while mainting similar quality and performance. This will be a monster upon release!

I’ve been researching for my next vehicle for the last few months and have sort of narrowed it down to a few - Porsche Cayenne coupe, Audi RSQ8 or Land Rover SVR. But my gosh this thing looks every bit as good, or better, than all three of those. If it had a V8 and similar 0-60 times as the others I wouldn’t even hesitate. I’d never buy an orange truck but this one looks so good in that color

Nice early review. Genesis is killing it, that coupe is beautiful, build it. I just had my one year concierge service on my GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige, also beautiful to me, and I would buy it again tomorrow. The Germans have been living on dated styling with minimal changes over the years, Genesis is more than matching the style, class leading tech, better pricing and the best warranty in the industry.

I would only change the seats. Just black leather with orange stitches look beautiful in the Genesis GV 80. Seat belts in orange, for the 10 extra horsepower😂😂 . Great review Joe, like always.

What a great looking vehicle. I almost bought a GV70 sport but my only complaint is the infotainment center screen. I just wish it wasn't static up top center. In my opinion having it at an angle above the middle ac buttons would look sleeker. No need to stretch out to use the touch screen. I know there is a dial to use the screen but ya, love what Genesis doing overall!

The headlamps will change for sure. The prototype seems to only have the daytime running lamps. Genesis will use the small led squares for the headlamps that they used in their other models with very small daytime running lamps led strips integrated.
