They removed the roll down rear windows and the backseats dont fold flat into the cargo area. Those two reasons alone steer me towards the GM twins. I do like this interior screen size and color options, but once the redesigned Tahoe/ Yukon come out, that will no longer be a factor.

Definitely agree on the roll down rear window, don't they realize most people like that feature for their dogs? If you can't control how much it opens, it's too dangerous to put a dog in tbe back. I bought my 2021 4Runner for my dog due to its roll down rear window.

Truly love the new refresh on this and would have likely gotten it once I’m done with my current SUV but there are 2 things that upset me with this vehicle. #1 - Hybrid Powertrain for all trims (Long term Reliability + repair costs down the road) #2 - Lack of 3rd row room + cargo The lack of room is a no go for me. The older generation has more room. Will probably look at the Ford Expedition.

While the new Toyota Sequoia is proudly designed and made in the USA, it hasn’t quite won over buyers. Here are my main concerns: 1.) Fuel Efficiency: Despite being a hybrid, it guzzles more fuel than expected. 2.) TRD Pro Package: This package offers a visual upgrade but lacks performance enhancements. It doesn’t boost engine power or provide additional tuning options. I’d love to see the engine or 4x4 improvements alongside the ride height and shocks. 3.) Seating Configuration: The TRD package limits seating to 7, with no option for a second-row bench seat unless you choose a lower trim. Plus, the ISOFIX system is missing for the front passenger seat, and the third row only has one ISOFIX point. 4.) Cargo Space: The luggage compartment is small, and the third-row seats don’t fold flat. 5.) Camo Tech: The camouflage design on the exterior and interior is permanent. 6.) Trailer Hitch Cover Issue: The trailer hitch cover tends to come off easily, even during normal driving or car washes, which can be hazardous. 7.) Low Front Air Dam: The front air dam sits just eight inches off the ground, which is quite low for an SUV with off-road capabilities. 8.) Limited Cargo Space: The cargo capacity is less competitive compared to other full-size SUVs. 9.) More NHTSA Complaints: The 2024 model has more complaints filed with the NHTSA compared to previous models, indicating potential reliability issues. Those are the nine(9) key challenges the Toyota Sequoia is up against as it enters the fiercely competitive U.S. full-size SUV market. Toyota might be testing the waters by not fully implementing Poka-Yoke in this model.
@Chris.Lewis14568 ай бұрын
I feel like its a beautiful truck but they missed the mark. All they had to do was make the gen 2 better. This takes away the sliding center seats, the roll down rear glass, rhe fold flat seats, and the legroom in the 3rd row. Its the size of a "full size" but the interior doesn't make sense for that price point. They shoulda kept all the good features of the 2nd gen and made it an xl truck in length like a suburban. I think for the grand Highlander and this to be almost the same size it missed an opportunity to be a legit family cruiser. I love my 2nd gen and as nice as this looks people with families probably wont upgrade.

That color is "Terra Cotta", not Terra (meaning Earth). This is a decent looking big SUV and on the interior I like the camo on the seats and really like that the infotainment is built into the dash instead of looking like its stuck on with glue like some vehicles. Not a fan of the plastic front or under any SUV that claims it can do off road and the lack of cargo space in the back, the shelf may help but it doesn't make up for a lack of suitcase room.

If Toyota would stop refusing to offer a long bed pick up with a crew cab it wouldn't be forced to offer an SUV with a 3rd row which only fits 10 year old humans, same with the Lexus LX600 series. That is the reason the Tahoe, Yukon & Expedition will always be kings of SUV's.

Lovely vehicle. My comment on the rear wiper: If the motor mechanism is at the lower end of the glass- its more likely to get damaged as people with groceries etc could hit it accidentally. In contrast if the wiper is mounted on upper section of the rear glass, then the mechanism that moves the wiper is "protected" from random hits form the groceries etc. You could add that to your next video- if you agree. Have a good one.

2:40 I thought the very same thing about the Sequoia pulling off the better looks with the redesign. I can't put my finger on it, so I'll just have to go with the obvious - the wheelbase and roofline bring it all together better. Of course, the tire/wheel combo of the TRD Pro package is critical too. 0h, just figured out the MAIN THING,it's the REAR side design element that begins in front of the rear door handles. That's what's bringing it all together for me.
