It's a perfect balance of good handling and good power there r some hypercars that handle better but they can injure u by pulling so much g forces that it'll snap ur neck muscle or something so some hypercars r hazardous for the not the most in shape folks and this should drift good too while most hypercars can't drift well

2 time Mustang GT owner here (2013)(2015): I love the concept, reason they built it and the design. That said, my excitement was ruined by the price at the end. There are probably 100 cars I would take over this car Joe. This is for the 1% that are millionaire weekend racers that already have Ferraris and Lambos but have an affinity for mustangs in their heart.

You say that now, but I'd wait until the track times are out. Personally I applaud Ford for doing this; reality is the vast majority of Mustang owners are not probable buyers EVER for this car. However if this program is successful, features from the GTD will find their way to the Mustang GT that we all buy. Rather than race the GT, which IS MY dream car, but I know it will always remain a dream, Ford is recognizing what it owes the Mustang and giving back to the nameplate, solidifying it's long term existence while Camaro quietly fades into the annals of history. However when Ford released the S550 suddenly Mustangs were not only in comparisons between the M4, M8 but they were either out right winners in the comparison or received "but I'd rather drive the Mustang" from reviewers even when the M8 w front drive is able to out run them. The GTD program will keep the Mustang in that conversation and likely put it in a few more.

As cool as this is... I know in my lifetime, unless I win the lottery, I'll never come close to even sit in one... this is an amazing machine, but my time (despite being 33) and economic commitments, something like this is over for me. Besides, I've had my heart set on a '13-'14 Boss 302S race car as my track/ tinker toy. However, for those who are actually able to shoot for this car, go for it and don't let anything stop your dreams. Always great for sharing amazing content Joe, this is fantastic. Considering how the value of the Ford GT Supercar increased in just a couple years to over 1 million dollars. $300,000 will likely be a solid investment on this amazing Mustang. A wild thought, but seeing this car with the NA V8 with an even 500 HP, or even a higher output/larger Ecoboost for weight, would be interesting for the street. And more accessibility for those who don’t necessarily need the 800 HP. Reduced aero and a smaller engine would make a killer package.

Hey Joe, very interesting and thank you for getting all the latest information on the GTD. Unfortunately this will be just like the Ford GT. None of us regular subscribers will ever get a Mustang GTD. Much like the Corvette Z06 or ZR1 or GT cars from Porsche. This will be a super car for sure but it most likely will be kept in the equivalent Jay Leno garages and rarely driven on the road. I been on the Z06 list for 3 years and I have yet to see a Corvette Z06 on the road; only at car shows. I bought a 2019 Z06 C7 for $72K and the equivalent optioned C8 Z06 cost $152K. What in the heck happened????? Besides “biden’s inflation” these hot performance cars are growing out of reach for the hard working successful American consumers. Damn my last pickup truck just cost me $84K. Cars have doubled in price but most America enthusiasts haven’t seen their incomes doubled. biden would tax us to nothing anyway. Where is the American dream going? Oh well the Mustang GTD will be impressive but definitely out of reach for us. How about asking Ford to build the GT-500 every year along side the GT as opposed to only the last 2-3 years of the latest model generation. Cheers!!!

I personally think it's better if they make these rare, it increases their value and importance, everyone owning one isn't special, and not only that, I doubt most people can even handle most powerful Mustangs considering how many people lose control with the base GT model.
