The hardest part of this isn't the conquering. It's being able to convert everything in time. Taking any kind of syncretism makes the achievement almost impossible.

This is ABSOLUTELY the hardest achievement in the game, whether or not its as hard as it used to be. As an obsessive CK3 achievement hunter hahaha

​@@unsuspecting_clowndeccan empire, give all your family members kingdom titles, use the mines and high dev to play tall with it to get your languages grandeur raised, and possibly diplomacy to try and vassalize outside of deccan (you never said you can't expand peacefully)

Evangelize to the Realm makes converting all of Africa trivial now. Also there are vassal directives now, so you can demand conversion then direct them to convert their land.

I did this on console, and kept Daura as my capital the whole run. It was the last one I needed for the plat and it took me 3 serious attempts to finish.

I'm going for this one now, my strategy was to make a mad rush to Egypt and hybridise cultures with them to take all their innovations + limit my culture to a controlled area. After that I moved my personal holdings entirely to the Nile and developed my cultural lands as fast as possible. I had all the early medieval innovations before most of subsaharan africa was even in early medieval. Currently have like 60-70% of Africa conquered and converted at 1090 or something. I haven't tried administrative because I don't fully understand how it works and feudal is the devil I know (I don't feudal, but I was worried temporarily converting to islam so I could make a clan government would break the achievement lol). I honestly found Rise of Ghurids harder (so far), but that was mainly because I went for the Iranian Resurgence ending to the struggle in the same run.

Imagine, i got this one in a Time before there was the Legend Seeds, for more "Kingdom-Tier Holy Wars" and "Evangelize the Realm" Decisions. It was a Grind to Convert all of Africa and keep the Realm intact without the Option to Adopt Centralised Administration. It's kinda sad to see how easier it is to get now but still proud that you got this one.

At launch if you quit the game and loaded a save as a heir of Daurama Daura it would invalidate the achievement, since 'starting as x' flags checked on load, not on start of the game - so in that sense it was definitely more difficult! :)

Yeah, a real pain in the neck but also an incentive to not faff about, I suppose? Matilda and the fox achievements are easily achievable in a lifetime so added an interesting time crunch for those at the very least!

One super pro tip for this achievement, when you have an heir that you want to take, be it your son or a daughter you have, if you educate them using your husband they can be culture converted to mashriqi which makes this entire run orders of magnitude easier conquest and importantly development wise.

it wasn't that hard to me tbh. Although I must say that I did exploit the features of the game. I did reform the faith first and then used vassal directives to spread my religion then did use these new conqueror mechanics + holy wars, evangalizing realm, reasserting the holy mission or taking By The Sword cultural pillar. Then it all snowballs from there. Hardest part for me was to get a stable kingdom tier first and rest is history although it's probably even harder than release version if you don't have DLCs. If I remember correctly our starting leader is married to a Mashriqi guy which is also a duchy tier title holder. Hybridizing with Mashriqi culture to get superior MAA and tech would be something I would rush along with organizing faith.

wasnt that hard when i did it but that was before northern lords was even out. i snaked my way far enough to conquer a state in aquitaine, made an occitan county my capital, and switched to occitan culture for a few generations to get high partition much quicker and not have to deal with harsher realm laws. converting counties was quick once you reform bori. even easier now with evangelize the realm. its only a rough start but once you form your first kingdom title its easy cause your neighbors are weak and you are a human with a brain. you can probably do it way faster with that one infinite kingdom tier CB culture tradition and forming bori to be more warlike.

Yeah ok so big difference number 1. I became an adventurer and just went and conquered those gold mines in mali while also converting to the local religion.

It's not hard, it's just a grind. Reforming the religion for faster conversion is important and finally you want to get Egypt conquered fairly quickly before the development makes conversion too slow.

after the plagues and legitimacy update, I have barely touched ck3. and if turning off diseases will prevent me from getting trophies, then I am happy to just not play this again.

For me the achievement weren't super hard it was just time consuming. After I was strong enough to holy war for egypt no other powers were a threat to me and it was a matter of blobbing and castrating any kingdom vassals that got too strong.
