Is the ALL NEW 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend worth it?

The Bronco Sport is finally here and Ford has many ways that you can option it. On the outside of the Big Bend trim you will find the unique color called Area 51, gunmetal grey 17in wheels, raised rood rails and unique front fascia. On the inside the Big Bend trim brings cloth seats, 8in infotainment system and tons of space. Under the hood is a 1.5L turbicharged inline-3 producing 181HP and mated to an 8-speed automatic. The great news is getting power to the ground is a standard 4x4 system. Is the ALL NEW 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend worth it?

The flow is always good. Probably because it never changes. It's same old same old each and every review the only thing that changes is the manufacturer and the model. Joe are you the one writing all these reviews. Surely I'm not the only one that notices this fact? By the way you forgot to zonk it for lack of a black roof.

@@Stefficient yes but it makes for a very boring review. You know what they say variety is the spice of life. Change it up a bit go the opposite way in the car, start on the inside don't complain about the same things all the time. Not all cars need to have a black roof. There may be a reason why some of the venting is fake. If I did reviews and made all of my reviews the same except for manufacturer and model I could put out 20 videos a day as well. I'm not trying to be mean, but he does the same thing over and over and over again you know exactly what he's going to do next. I keep on watching his reviews to see if he's finally going to do something different. Maybe that's his plan, make his reviews boring as hell so that people keep on coming back see if he finally makes change. Hmmmm it's brilliant.

I have a Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend Model. I love it and it's exactly what i was looking for. the color is great (Area 51), it fits more than you think it would and easiest vehicle to clean (dog, woodworking projects and landscaping - tested). it's fun to drive in sport mode and handles very well in sand/beach. the options for accessories, to make it your own, are plentiful, even for a first year model. i was with BMW since 2008 - i don't miss it. Ford got it right.

When she works and we have sudden downpours here in South Texas it's a pain in my car avoiding certain streets to get kids from school.or daycare. I wanted something not to expensive but pretty decent that can handle low to moderate utility and flooding.

I love that they finally came out with the Broncos again. I drive a 2012 Ford escape and love it no problems with it still a good drive. Broncos looks just like it body wise but I have hauled a lot in it. I am a long time Ford owner and would love too try to get a new Broncos. I just bought one 2 weeks ago. Same trim. No issues with the 1.5 for me as far as available power. I was sold based on the color of mine..Bronze Smoke Metallic. I agree with you on the seats. So far I love it except the radio/speakers are below average..not enough available volume. Otherwise, I really like it.

Good review! I like your attention to the smaller details. It’s funny, this review popped up on my KZbin feed immediately after my wife and I returned home this evening. We saw a Bronco Sport Badlands at our local Ford dealership on our drive home. The vehicle we saw was exactly the same color and trim you just reviewed. As we pulled into the dealership driveway, my wife thought that there was a Massachusetts State Police cruiser parked in the dealership yard. Nice review Joe, I’m really digging the Area 51 color and Fords attention to detail with the bottle opener and rotating lights on the tailgate. Not sold on the 3 cylinder, however I did see another review with the 3 and in its defense it did have a nice throaty exhaust note which I liked 😂.

15:15 that's a good back seat pocket right there. We can store anything in it without worrying the safety of the items in it if someone near the Bronco trying to take a peak into the interior. I wish other car manufacturers make the same thing. That would be great.

Your advice on getting the bigger engine strikes me as a more realistic long run perspective. (And that's good). Though not gutless, I see that engine having a hard life with the turbo boost coming on almost constantly, killing MPGs and defeating the diminutive engine's "raison d'etre". It's a sharp vehicle. But with every new car, the BEST advice is to wait at least one year. Let someone else be Ford's test rat. Let them find the bugs, retool the assembly line and then see how the second year is going. If it's all good, 18 months after the initial release go buy your Bronco! "Impatience buys frustration, while patience buys confidence".

The larger 2.0 engine would be a great option but unfortunately you can't just opt for that 4 cyl over the 1.5 engine. You must go up in trim to the Badlands and it is $4500 more than this Big Bend trim. That said, you do get a 1 inch lift in height and enhanced 4X4 system, and more aggressive tread on the tires. Nice thing is, either way you go, you get the growl of a V-8 under the hood (coming thru the speakers) !

As many others have already told you, Joe, I find myself exclaiming "On Throttle" every now and then when driving. I drive a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 2.4L with 242,000 miles, so needless to say my 'On Throttles' are not nearly as exciting as yours! Also, after watching your videos for the past few months, I find myself spending a lot of time checking out door panels and looking for functional air vents! Keep up the great work. I enjoy your videos and Twinkie obsession a great deal! :)

Another great Raiti's Ride. Love the Bronco Sport, a butched Escape. Great front-end: no huge grill. I'd go with the I4 option. I doubt the I3 will be durable.

I'm a bronco sport owner, I have an outer banks model. FYI if you want more fun and response to your acceleration, put it in sport mode. So much fun!! As a bronco sport owner are there a few things I would change, yes but all in all I absolutely love my bronco sport!!

@@JonniArmani the land rovers have always had issues around 50k most definitely by 70K. I don't care because I had an old bronco 2 (67) and I loved that truck. She was my beach truck. Easy to drive on our beach and just sexy with attitude. Once I got home from the hospital the day I found out I beat two cancers and one terminal squamous cell carcinoma that spread to my bones and endometrial cancer I ordered it. I've never bought a new car. I don't have children nor married so I just did it. I will finally get my bronco next month. I went with the black diamond cactus grey with the Sasquatch package two door. I don't care if it does have recalls my Honda crv's and Honda preludes did as well. I will drive this truck until the wheels fall off or until I'm Found On Roadside Dead (Ford) because it's just my truck and my style. I can't wait to drive it on the beach after being in bed for 3 solid years. I never got disability and worked from bed taking a huge pay cut and through most of my savings but sometimes you just gotta go for it. I started a side hussle to earn extra money painting with oils and saved every penny to put down half the cost without financing it and it was worth it and it also kept me fighting the last year when I just wanted to give up. People always have an opinion and can talk crap and that's fine but if it makes someone truly happy to have a truck with no doors and pretty much no top to feel the wind on their face and get that child like feeling again and you work hard to get one I say good for that person. I had a BMW Z3 bought two years old and all it did was break down. Heck I would go to close the door and the panel would fall off. The water pump busted under 23K miles. It was a hunk of junk but many people love that car and didn't have the issues I had so I didn't hate on them. I was happy for them. If everybody liked the same thing then life would be boring.
