Wish I had a gun store around here (Dallas/Fort Worth) that had ammo prices like that. They are all 80+ cents a round 9mm and 90+ cents plus for 45. You can find it at Academy early in the lines on the right day, but its gonna take dedication to get much. And 22LR still takes an effort to find too.

I have a friend who owns a gun shop and let him hunt on my land . He holds back ammo for me when I ask for it . 1776 freedom buckets of Rem .22 for 70 . 200 17 HMR for 60 . It's always who you know !

i like the 12 gauge ammo the best. i disagree with those that say small birdshot like that isnt good for home defense. ive shot some up close, 7 yards and it tears things up as good as anything else. and kit keeps a decently tight pattern even out of an open bore shotgun

IMHO I'd only load birdshot if I had no alternatives. If it were a viable SD round you could hunt medium sized game with it. Pour wax into the top or cut the shell to make it a slug.

While I am happy for you that there does not seem to be a problem with ammo where you are I believe that the shortage is real in many areas. I live in Washington State and I can tell you there has not been 9MM, 223 or 556 in stock within 50 miles of me since Tuesday of this week. Things seem to be getting better as there is more ammo for sale online. We just are not seeing it in the stores yet. Thank you for the great videos!

9mm fmj is 35.00 to 50.00 for 50rds. In eastern ky. We got a somewhat decent amount of ammunition at stores locally but you can’t afford it. And Walmart’s here locally quit selling guns and ammo. Rural king had 2 boxes of .45 and 2 boxes of 00buck.

Had to run a couple errands yesterday and hit 4 wallmarts and 1 Cabellas..... nothing at the walmarts. Cabelas had a few odd ball calibers and even moved the shotshells behind the counter and put them on the cart.

Here in Indiana Walmart don't sell any ammo at all anymore, Rural King in Indiana do get some ammo in a little trickle here and there, gun shops want 45 to 50 dollars for 9 mm 50 round boxes.

I actually like doin the ammo hunts each week to be honest. Yeah when they first announced stopping pistol and "assault weapon" ammunition, I cleaned up bigtime. they were marking down prices every single week until it was gone. I remember the final price of 150 range packs of 5.56 being $29 at the end.

I'm pretty sure they had just gotten in a load of tons of ammo of all kinds because they had stuff I haven't seen in a real long time and were literally still putting stuff on the shelves. There were either 9 or 11 boxes of the .38 special and I grabbed a box, another guy grabbed a box, and then I left. When I went back to get another box, the chick that sits in that office as you walk in had the last 2 boxes off the shelf walking with them to her office for herself.😞

In Clear Lake Tx (Houston area) we are blessed with 4 Academys close, a Cabelas and a Bass Pro, Primary Arms is very close, a field and stream, a few walmarts, and our local store called Carters Country.

Seen nothing in my area. Shelves bare. I am careful what I buy unless it is target ammo. I once bought some Armscor .357 range ammo and my revolver who seize up. You could not even open the cylinder. I called Armscor and they knew what the problem was. Evidently, the recoil would allow the bullet to shift forward and not allow the cylinder to turn. The good thing was the replaced the ammo for free. In fact, the President of the company personally dealt with me. But it was concerning. So for handgun defense I use a major US brand and not any imported ammo. Walmart near me got rid of all guns and ammo in all stores within 50 miles from me. Good video and I hope things improve with this phoney ammo shortage soon.

The shotshells are lead shot for target shooting. I use them for skeet and sporting clays shooting. I have been able to 12 and 20ga. at Walmart throughout this "shortage". $22 and change for 100 shells (4 boxes). Not bad. Before the panic I was getting them for 4.70/box delivered (case of 10 boxes, $46.99) I handload for shotshells, but when the price is around $5/box, it isn't worth the effort. .22 ammo...I was buying one box of 500 every week at $16-19 (depends on brand and type) when we did our grocery shopping at Walmart, for the three years prior to this! Minus what we shoot (my wife alone shoots 200 rounds of .22 LR a week) and I still have dozens of 500 round boxes of various makes. I am not paying those prices for 9mm, .45 and .38 Special. I have been casting bullets from my old stash of wheel weights and handloading. I have PLENTY of components on hand. The shortage will end when people REFUSE to pay those prices. That will stop the hoarding and reselling. $24/50 box is NOT a good price for ANY practice grade pistol ammo. I was buying Winchester 9mm at $30/200 prior to this nonsense. Higher than that, and I handload everything!

I'm not a big fan of 00 buck: only 9 pellets, and all of them are big enough to go through the walls and hit family members in the next room. I like to feed my Benelli M4 number 4 buck. 24 pellets at 10 feet hitting that intruder is gonna chew him up just as good as 00, and number 4 is really good for hunting turkey and such besides. Will 12ga charge of #4 buck go through a wall? Yeah if you're trying to shoot through it, but from 10 feet away and at an angle, they're light enough and spread out enough for most walls to absorb the .24" pellets that are running around 60-65 ft.lbs. of energy per, whereas the nine 00's are running 165-175 ft.lbs. per.

@@ToolsandTargets I'm in California. I bought 3 boxes of 308Win. @ a Big 5 maybe 2-3 months ago. And, for the life of me I couldn't tell you the price. They had 4 but the limit was 3 per caliber. I didn't need it at all but I wanted to see how California's new ammunition background worked. First time I've made an ammo purchase in maybe 2 years. Before it went into effect I was clearing shelves as I could afford it. Haven't fired a shot. 😂 Glad I was so vigilant to just hold on to it. P.S. Thursday is my ammo run day as well. Today I got 100 Winchester 9mm 115gr FMJ for $40 (local gun store, about 15 minutes away but consistently gets ammo and do their honest best to sell without gouging) and a box of .30-30 Hornady LeveRevolution 160gr FLX for $30.99 at my closest gun store (.30-30 is impossible to find here in Ohio). When do you go to Rural King? I missed a huge score they got yesterday. Empty boxes showed 9mm Federal and Winchester, .45 Winchester, .380 Winchester, .44 Magnum Winchester and 5.56 Federal American Eagle 😭 Missed it all, gone in an afternoon.

That sounds like exactly the same shipment that my Rural King got on Monday. I usually go on Thursdays but I've been going a few times a week lately to see when they get stuff. Mine has been holding a lot of their stuff until 5pm. Sounds like your local shop does you pretty right.👍

Was thinking about driving about an hour down to the rural king in Mattoon IL. i think that's where their headquarters is. There's also another rural king about 20 minutes from the one in Mattoon in Charleston IL. Hoping to maybe come across some small shops along the way. Up here where im at, youre more likely to find Bigfoot than 9mm. The rural king by where I live said they got 1 case of 9mm in today and it was gone in 15 minutes, which i have a hard time believing the employees didn't call their buddies to come buy it up. @@ToolsandTargets It really doesn't surprise me, I figure just about any and every reason for the shortages there is probably at least a little truth to. Let's just hope things will get back to at least halfway normal before too long. I miss the days of being able to buy a remington bucket of bullets or an ammo can full, to spend a whole day at the range. I also miss looking through all the different brands and types of ammo they'd have on the shelves. It used to be like being a kid in a candy store. We had shortages before, but it was usually just 2 or 3 calibers. This shortage really seems different, the worst I've seen in my life

Pretty crazy everywhere still it sounds like. rural king is my saving grace for sure. I actually made another real nice score yesterday. I went by there for some fertilizer and they just got a truck in and put out ammo. 9mm Blazer for $14.99 and .45acp Blazer for $17.99. The only bad thing is I could only get two boxes total so I got two of the .45. I freakin love that place!

Nice, they had cases of that Wolf in there and cases of Aguila mini shells. My guy said they were supposed to be getting some 1200 round cases of brass cased S&B 7.62x39 this afternoon but it's nearly $1 per round for that stuff. I'll stick with the steel on that.

Hey, nice to see so many of y'all near me. I would have never though it. I went to Chinamart and Rural King today myself. They were on the last case of Wolf 00buck. I picked up one more box of that and they actually had about 8 boxes of 9mm Hornady Critical defense for $22 so I grabbed a box of that too. This was probably around 12:30 or 1:00.

I am originally from Louisiana, but live in the Peoples Republic of California. I wish I could get any of that ammo at those prices. .45ACP $1.50 per round and you cannot find any .38 Special at all. I did luck up on some .357 Magnum last week for $0.80 per round. Could only buy 2-boxes per day and went back the next morning and the manager who knows me sold be 4-more boxes so not too bad with 300 rounds.

Fast forward today and those 100 packs are reaching 30 bucks without tax. It's not insanity they will be taken off shelves since it's ammo but even when my other stores had 12 gauge in different brands like Rio for about 6.25ish the total was still less if you bought 4. Just yesterday at Walmart I bought 2 20 gauge target, the price when they rang it up was 2 bucks more than how they had it displayed at, double checked it. I at least was glad they had it differently marked but I bet they really meant to sell it that much too. Basically everything is adding half of what it was a year ago. What I really don't get is why Winchester or Wallymart thinks their 100 year ammo edition box is to be 40 bucks. That'll stay on the shelves.😒

About 3 years ago, I was super close to jumping in with both feet but hesitated because ammo was so plentiful and cheap. That's one of the biggest regrets I have from the past decade.😆

The first couple of clips and the final runthrough is, yep. I think I like the audio on it better and it's clearer and focuses better on 1080p for sure, but I miss the wider angle of the other cam I use. As far as the big stores like Walmart ever since they stopped carrying 9mm I'm not even sure they even carry 22lr. My wife and I are just like you that we really hate to go in there unless it's early in the morning when no one is there if not then it's a madhouse. You just want to get in an out quick.

I was in Cleveland GA at a small gun store recently that had well stocked shelves. 300 blk out $3 a rd for 110 gr fmj. Same for 308, 22s that they had packaged themselves. $15 for 50rds probably golden bullets or some other bulk type. Everything else at a similar ratio price wise. Even at the stores that have historically resisted price gouging I’m seeing the same thing. I’m thinking this is here for a while especially after the Boulder shooting and the Biden relaunch of ar15 sales after his comments. One thing I am noticing ( I live in a rural area) is the almost total lack of shooting for months now vs hearing shots 2 -3 days a week forever.

They’re the only store that has the same exact price now that they did before all this plandemic b.s. your able to buy 2 boxes of each caliber and the boxes were all bulk. Agula 9mm 300rds for $59 and 5.56 300rd boxes for $99 they also had the 200rd 62gr Green Tip Winchester for $99 a box. They had em in .223 and 5.56 and like I said 2 box limit on each caliber. I picked up 2 bulk 5.56 & 2 boxes of .223. SCORE...!!!!!! Haha love the video I’m gunna sub keep the content coming buddy.
