Because you would die -- check out the Old Testament. It wasn't that the Ark just unalived "innocent people", it was that it contains a small piece of God's Glory in a physical form that resides within the Mercy Seat. Why is this important? Because God rolled out a TON of rules (in Leviticus) in addition to the Ten Commandments, so that people would not perish when getting close to the Tabernacle that contained the Ark. Why? Because if you had any sin in your soul and you got close to it, the very small physical part of God's Glory that resided in the Mercy Seat would instantaneously extinguish the sin and the soul attached to the sin. That's why the only people allowed near it had to go through a very intense and rigorous consecration process to avoid being extinguished (though a few failed to do so properly and did get extinguished as a result). TL;DR: These men aren't just preventing people from seeing it, they are literally protecting people from becoming extinguished.

Copy and Paste of an interesting article that might be relevant to this video: Genetic tests carried out by British scientists have revealed that many of the Lemba tribesmen in southern Africa have Jewish origins, according to a report by the BBC. The Lemba, a tribe of 70,000 to 80,000 members who live in central Zimbabwe and northern South Africa, have customs which are similar to Jewish ones: Lemba refrain from eating pork or other foods forbidden by the Torah, or forbidden combinations of permitted foods, wear yarmulke-like skull caps, conduct ritual animal slaughter, have a holy day once a week, and even put a Star of David on their gravestones. According to their oral tradition, the Lemba are descended from seven Jewish men who left Israel 2,500 years ago and married African women, according to the BBC. The Lemba prefer their children to marry other Lembas, and marriage to non-Lembas is being discouraged. Their sacred prayer language is a mixture of Hebrew and Arabic. Their religious artifact is a replica of the Biblical Ark of the Covenant known as the ‘ngoma lungundu’, meaning "the drum that thunders.” The object went on display recently at a museum in Harare, Zimbabwe, and has instilled pride in many of the Lemba. They say the ark was built almost 700 years ago from the remains of the original ark, which according to the Bible was used to store the Ten Commandments. For decades, the ancient vessel was thought to be lost until it was discovered in a storeroom in Harare recently. Members of the priestly clan of the Lemba, the Buba - which is one of 12 clans - have a genetic element also found among the Jewish priestly line, known as Kohanim. "This was amazing," Professor Tudor Parfitt from the University of London told the BBC. "It looks as if the Jewish priesthood continued in the West by people called Cohen, and in same way it was continued by the priestly clan of the Lemba.” Despite their roots, many of the tribe are now Christians or Muslims.

Speaking of the steles, my friend from Tigray tells me that there are manuscripts of the Book of Enoch which contain Enoch's purported teachings on how some steles were constructed; but these parts of Enoch are not found in any of the manuscripts available in the West. There are other teachings of Enoch which are not known about in the West. The stele mentioned by Graham Hancock is the Ezana Stele, which was a fourth century structure.
@zeAbyssinicaАй бұрын
Ya the stele was constructed before Christianity came to Axum empire, and is most likely related to pagan worshiping of native gods(almoqah...)
@ebioniterevival6460Ай бұрын
@@zeAbyssinica no, it was used as a gigantic tombstone; and in the case of the Book of Enoch, two steles, one made of granite, and the other made of limestone, were actually used to etch the entire book. This is what is recorded in the works of Josephus. These stones were used deliberately so that the Book of Enoch could survive flood and fire. The occult use of the stele is just a misappropriation of what originally had no occult association at all. Besides, there is a stele in northeast China that honours one of the greatest kings of the Goguryeo dynasty, whose title was Gwanggaeto the Great. This was a fourth century stele with no occult significance; and my friend from Tamilnadu explains that there was a strong Biblical history behind Goguryeo, which is a sort of corruption of a Tamil word. This is what my friend from Tamilnadu wrote me: ""KoGuryah Guruiah in Tamil means Honourable Master. The Church Priest is called Guruiah and his wife if a shepherdess is also called Guruamma. In some diocese, she is called as a Bible Woman. Ancient Churches it had been mandatory for the couple to be in the mission. Even now the Church insist that a Bishop's wife should resign her worldly gainful employment and should join her husband in the ministry. Ko -Gurui -ah means Royal Honourable Master. Iya/Iyah is a term used for respect equivalent to 'Sir' Eg. Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Eliyah, Azariah, Uzziah, Zachariah. iah means Sir."" So this means that in regions where they observed the Bible's teachings, there was no occult significance associated with steles.
@zeAbyssinicaАй бұрын
@ebioniterevival6460 again that is not accurate, it's a folding of history. Because the steles were made as a funerary marker for z elites and had nothing to do with Christianity in the region. The steles were made before Ezana, and there were no Christian markings on the structure. The reason it is affiliated with pagan religion, not occult, is because there were false doors in the structure suggesting a path for z dead to heaven. This is a stronger claim from historians, and theres no need to fold history and associate a 3rd century work of Ethiopians to a religion that came to z nation in the 4th c and gained little following initially.
@ebioniterevival6460Ай бұрын
@@zeAbyssinica You don't understand what I was saying, because obviously, Enoch lived before the Christian era, so I was not presupposing that steles were originally Christian at all. But the absence of Christianity doesn't, in and of itself, equate to paganism either; because Enoch was not a pagan.
@zeAbyssinicaАй бұрын
@@ebioniterevival6460 sure but the steles are not in any way related to Enoch. Enoch was in Israel/palestine, the steles were made by Axumites (in Ethiopia/africa) for burial thats why it's assumed as pagan tradition. I know my great great great grandparents come from a clan of merchant it's a long line of people that stretches way back - they would travel back and forth from the East African red sea coast (where we are from) to the Middle east (which is very close to the region).

@@ArmenChakmakian Yes, if you read through Leviticus, the main reason there are so many rules was to protect people from dying from getting close to the Ark of the Covenant, because a physical part of God's Glory resided in the Mercy Seat. The thing is, no sin can be near His Glory, if it does, it is instantly extinguished. So all the rules were in place so that people would not mistakenly draw near and be extinguished -- but it still happened at various times regardless, and even more-so when it was finally removed out of the camp of the Israelites.

People dying is not surprising. The law associated with the Arc gives specific instructions how approach and move the Ark of the covenant. If the covenant of the law and the covenant of grace are connect after the death and resurrection of Christ, then I would assume those who approach the Ark of the covenant for which God has not commanded, that person shall surely die. Think about this for a moment: the Ark of the covenant was said to have the absolutely holy, holy, holy, God in the tabernacle with the Ark of the covenant. When unholy men come in contact with an absolutely holy God, that person will be undone. No man shall see God and live. Well, I came back and finished watching the story of this investigator. One of the things that stood out was his assumption the Arc of the Covenant killed innocent people. I would challenge him to a single out an innocent person anywhere on planet at any time in history. If he name Jesus Christ as the one innocent man, he would be correct because is the only righteous human (Christ had a human body and lived among us with a human nature, albeit He also had the nature of God) that has ever grace this planet earth. Uzzah seemed to be doing a good thing by touching the Ark of the covenant to keep from falling into the mud, however, if the Ark of the covenant was covered in mud there's no unholy thing touching the Ark. Mud does what mud does and mud is holy in the sense mud has done nothing wrong but do that which God has ordained mud to do. Uzzah was an unclean wretched man like the rest of us (he was also not Jewish). The minute Uzzah touched the holy Ark his fate was immediate death. God does allow His holiness to be corrupted by the touch of an unholy man. Come-on...there has been no evidence the bible is not an historical document. Almost every test of the historicity of the bible has passed that test. Higher schools of criticism have failed so many times to discredit the historicity of bible you would think they would give up. The myth is actually those who claim it's a myth. If the bibles is a myth, then so is every other text of antiquity. If that is true, history would be impossible to know in ancient times. Tell me something, who is denying Aristotle existed and was a pillar in the realm of logic? How do we know Aristotle is a real person? Who can deny the book of Psalms was mostly the work of David, king of Israel? We have the dead sea scrolls as a profound testament to the authenticity of scripture and its textual accuracy. There is more evidence of historicity than any document of antiquity.
