I think what he is trying to say is the Bible was written a long time ago before we were born and it is useful for us to understand but sometimes we have a bit of trouble interpreting what it is going on about., praise the Lord that some passages are easy to understand especially the ones about believing in Jesus to be saved and have eternal life
