@@LivingLifeSlower In hindsight, 'hate' is too strong a term, i Should have expressed 'my opinion' as 'i would never buy a 4 door car as 2 doors/coupes are my preference', but man the M3 looks so much better than the M4.Yet I would still never buy one because of the door count! My personal replacements for your excellent 4 door examples would be... E30 M3 Monaro 3 door cossie M4 R8 V8 M6 AMG C63 coupe P1 Id take a 911 turbo over the project 8...silly money for a 4 door jag!

You can pick these up for 40-42k with a good spec (around 67-68k new),lot of car for the money..I wouldn’t take an AMG over an m car purely based on chassis and chassis feel when driving. I’ll take cornering and balance over a bit more power any day. That’s where amg need to pay attention...it’s all power with them and they forget what makes a car a great car to drive. I just sub'd because you're doing solid work with accurate feedback and opinions of the cars you drive. You remind me of Catchpole's early days . FWIW- I have both a GT4 and an F82 M4 . Love them just about equal but can't imagine my days w/o the GT4 so I hope you don't make the mistake of selling your second GT4 now that there are a few companies making 2nd-6th gear shorty options. @@timburton1080 - I chose it over a 991.1 GT3 which wasn't an easy decision but in the end it has the best steering and gearbox in the Universe. You'll see : )

@@timburton1080 - 2nd-3rd and 4th doesn't bother me as much as others but 6th is too short if anything. Reminds me of my E90 M3 manual. At 80mph you're hovering at 3100 rpms.

Just buy an F80 M3 with a DCT. F80 M3 with a Manual doesn't even feel like an M3... This comes from an hardcore manual fan, but this car just needs the dct to be that much better.

Gts gearbox upgrade gets rid of pretty much all issues with power delivery. I have an m4 and have was nearly at the point of getting rid of it. A few coding updates, a remap and a Remus exhaust and now I’ll be keeping it for many more years to come. BMW’s always need a tweak.

Standard f80 for about £30k is definitely a bargain ... This competition for £45k is a tough one .... To close to c63s coupe which sounds great and the engine is masterpiece .... Love Giulia too but can't put my money there for some reason ... I know is a Ferrari engine but I'm looking at it like a lower quality vehicle for some reason ..

Nice vid, wow u are mad British with that accent my man! M3 CS.... I unfortunately didn’t dig the M4/ M3 with the soon to be finished generation of the 3/4 series. I think the fact that it was lighter but only made small hp gains was the big reason why former or current E90/92 M3 owners may not have gravitated towards the newer M car. As for me, I am cashing out on the BMW M brand and hopping over to Porsche later this year, but I hope that BMW tries a bit harder to make their M cars special again. Having the same general engines is not a cool thing, I don’t want to have an M series car that shares the engine with a few tricks and higher boost as a normal top of the range model engine- I want it to be separate (8 also don’t want a damn seat backrest with a glowing M logo on it ... what were they thinking)? Maybe that’s my age kicking in but that is still a dumbass thing they did.

This car is virtually perfect in my eyes (preferably in M4 shape though). But now that they made the M2 Competition, I don’t know. Either way, I think calling it a “daily” really undervalues its abilities. Would be a shame to use it only to pootle around in, you could just get a 320d for that.

Get yourself into a Quadrifoglio. No silly 3 different steering / gearbox / damping modes, just an Italian take on a performance saloon. Brilliant steering. Mega engine. World class chassis and bags of character. I think you'd like it.

I drove a couple of them and wasn't blown away. Engine is good, but to hear it you've got to run it in race mode and do without TC etc. Steering is excellent, but the dbw brakes awful as they're devoid of feel and have a mind of their own.

Tim Burton agreed, the brakes didn’t feel great. Another video I was watching recently an owner fitted some premium aftermarket pads which apparently made a huge improvement to his steel brakes. As for the exhaust flap only being open in race mode, it’s certainly not a deal breaker and there are places that can tweak the software so that it opens in dynamic mode.

M50B25 Turbo Giulia QV too heavy? It’s around the same weight as an F80 M3. The Giulia’s gearbox I wouldn’t describe as “bland” either. It’s the same transmission as is in the new M5. Have you driven a Giulia QV?

Fuck the m2. Get a m3 with manual, as per living life fast and a dct m3 owner it's much more easier to manage, less spiky and jerky and easier to skid in safety. Only con is bumper to bumper traffic and if you have roundabout galore + traffic.

i dont understand why people keep saying the E92 sounded so good?? For a V8, they sound shit!!! They sound like a Ducati with a dry clutch on start up and barely sound like a V8 when tootling around. Yes, they sound good when you make them scream, but you also have to be driving very fast to make them sound good. Awesome cars, but i think this F80 sounds better. I have owned an E92 and am planning soon to own an F80.
