Job 9:32-35 NLT [32] "God is not a mortal like me, so I cannot argue with him or take him to trial. [33] If only there were a mediator between us, someone who could bring us together. [34] The mediator could make God stop beating me, and I would no longer live in terror of his punishment. [35] Then I could speak to him without fear, but I cannot do that in my own strength.

As someone going through what i would call horrific suffering it’s hard to keep the faith sometimes. I’ve herniated a disc for the second time in my life. And I’m not one of those who just heals in a timely fashion. 37 months of excruciating agony before finally getting surgery. This time 6/7 months in with no light at the end of the tunnel yet. And 3 years to even speak to a surgeon in Canada, need to pray to God and renew my faith rather than doubting, but it’s hard sometimes.

I am going through immense suffering also. Just know you are not alone. Trying to hold onto to faith and being obedient to God during this much turmoil has been the most difficult thing I have ever had to do. But I’ve been pressing on, my the Grace of God. When I don’t want to read, I read my Bible. When I am angry, I pray, I go against every fiber of my being and do what I am called to do. Some days I fail and I just cry and sleep and ask why me, but that’s ok. That’s what Job and Jesus teaches us, it’s normal to have those thoughts. But Don’t give up. The more you clutch to faith, the more that the doors will begin to open for you. I promise ❤

@@VaNatureLover I am very sorry to hear that. Thank you for your support in keeping my faith. God has plan for all of us all and it’s not always an easy road is it, but it makes us who we are in the end. I pray your suffering will end. And god bless.

Yes Brother! Job 33:23-24 is all about Yishua/Jesus. If "Yish" (Jesus) be an Angel with Him (Almighty), a mediator, one in a thousand, who could teach/Show mankind His uprightness, then are we grateful to Him for saving us from the pit/Destruction, for we have found our ransom/payment (for sin). Job worshipped Shaddai שדי and He worshipped the Hand of Shaddai Yish/Yesh יש so that means he worshipped Yishua ישוע (The Hand of Shaddai Saves) because ישוע is יש (Jesus is the Hand of Shaddai) Yish/Yesh appears 90 times in the Tanakh, Yisha/Yesha appears 37 times, and Yishua/Yeshua appears about 9 times. Even in Job 30:15 the word "Yeshua ti" is translated to "My prosperity/Salvation" Many verses were changed in the Tanakh by the Ancient Masoretes finished around 300 AD. The whole Tanakh talks about Yisha/Jesus, and most of it was changed and hidden is about Him as well. We must first learn the meanings of His names to learn why their names were used to mean different things within that language. For example: Shem means "name" but that's not what it meant to Shem himself. Shem שמ means "Destroys with Water" and it lines up with the Word because Shem was in the flood that destroyed the world. Only the Holy Spirit can show us what has been hidden.

This is my interpretation of Job, I am not a scholar or holy person, I'm just some lowly trying to serve the Lord as I should, though struggling. Nevertheless, Job was righteous, he had everything, he treated others well, was admired and loved by many. Perfect by standards of any age. The context of satan for this writing was God's angel of free will to test where Job's heart lies in its core, and actually ended up being correct about Job. This is revealed in chapter 32 when this young character named Elihu enters out of nowhere and exposes Job's failure to repent, as earlier chapters are full of unrepenting dialog. Near the end, God Himself is revealed to Job, and Job finally understands and repents, then is truly blessed. The book is said to also hold an additional, much deeper mystical correlation to creation of the universe within, but not on a literal sense, and I can only skim that surface.

Great analysis. Job didn’t need to repent though because it says that he never cursed God. He just wasn’t drawing near to God, he lost his faith in God in his suffering, which is what all of us do, especially in grief. I feel like it was more about, pressing through deep turmoil, tests and trials and relying on God fully, even when it gets the absolute hardest. Then when his friends turned on him, along with his wife, that made it even worse for him (as so with us as well). His friends actually took the opportunity to act selfrighteously and point the finger at him, instead of showing him love and supporting him during his time of grief. God was displeased with this so that’s why he chastised them. But at the end if we notice…it was when Job prayed for those friends (that kicked him when he was down, that gave him the final blow), right after he PRAYED for them, he was restored. It’s a story about faith and forgiveness, so essentially this Pastor is correct. ❤

Also... Remember the clarification here was of how we as men and women must bear our cross and not complain or overthink the situation, For example check what was said by the youth Job 35:2 Do you think this is your right, or are you saying, My righteousness is more than God's, Job 35:3 That you ask, What advantage have you? How am I profited more than if I had sinned? And look what God says and think why would this be said to whom Job 38:1 THEN THE Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, Job 38:2 Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? [Job 35:16.] Job 38:3 Gird up now your loins like a man, and I will demand of you, and you declare to Me. Job 38:4 Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Declare to Me, if you have and know understanding. so if anything its of all of us as we can say its of Christ yet id rather say more towards questioning men as Christ didn't have questions and if he had one they were actually parables.. 🪔

In Christ truth of the gospel Amen We can't just use because someone is suffering that it represents Christ less someone use 1 Kings 15:23 The rest of all the acts of Asa, all his might, all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet. 1 Kings 15:24 Asa slept with his fathers and was buried with them in the city of David his father. Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead. (Thinking just because its a son of David that suffered what this is a sign of Christ) And say "see this represents Christ-he shall bruise the heel" 😭🥱 there is no private interpretations

The text of the Bible shows how easily God's love for Job can be extinguished and how his justice can be made to fade by slander. Job is mature, but narsistic sadistic all-powerful father in heaven is very childish person. The story of Jesus is dynamically the same meaning. Jesus is mature, but sadistic all-powerful father in heaven torture him to death.

The lesson of Job: no matter how good and righteous you are, God might one day decide to kill your children, burn down your home and torture you for months in order to win a bet with the devil, who's opinion he cares about for some unknown reason. But don't worry....if you don't crack under pressure you'll get new kids and more stuff, since ya know, children are obviously replaceable, and I the most important thing is that god wins his bet with the devil! This is the most deranged story in the bible! And that's really saying something!!!

Job is not Jesus. Also Jesus is a mediator, priest, king, prophet, et al. But never is he a silly old man that missed something he should have done so that his relationship with GOD was imperfect and he was brought close to GOD through being tortured by Satan and his friends yapping like they know everything.

You appear to be a person who has never suffered. For this reason you don't know anything about. God does not allow suffering, He CREATES it. Suffering ruins people that's it's purpose. No suffering person would read the book of Job. If your point is you see Jesus in the book of Job there can't be 5 people on the planet that care. I've suffered ruthlessly for nearly 7 decades, I don't the the book Job, I've lived it.

The point Job is trying to make about suffering is that humans don't have the perspective to question God's will. This is seen at the end of the book when God shows up to talk to Job. Instead of telling Job that the devil was testing him God says "where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth" God is basically saying you can't fully understand the purpose and meaning of suffering.
