Is the Chem-X Stars and Stripes the best RV and camper cleaner on the market?

Lol. If your stuff is trashed and needs to be cleaned good, this is what you want. If you take good care of your vehicles, I don't think you would ever need it, or at most maybe 2x a year as a touchless before a normal contact wash.

Appreciate the view. I had to leave before doing the rest, but I may test some other products before doing the whole trailer with it. I want to see if a high ph wash by itself can break down what's on there, or if it's the combo. May also see what it can do with just the pressure washer.

You should do the front or the other side as a touchless application. Spray on rinse off.

I will probably try, but the amount of mildew and fungus on the surface will likely keep from looking meaningful in any way.

I also have a follow up planned but it is getting very cold outside. I recently tested a general high pH decon soap and foamed it on, let it dwell, then sprayed off and it removed almost nothing. Need to test others, but overall I am a fan of the Chem-X, especially for large vehicles that aren't polished clear coat where you can agitate as needed.

That stuff is absolutely incredible. It would be interesting to adapt that stuff to those disaster detail cars you see on KZbin every once in a while. Also, I wonder how this would work as a dedicated wheel cleaner! Looks like that stuff would work great on trashed wheels.

I've seen people use it on cars, and obviously trucks. With some agitation, I am sure it would remove a lot of different stuff.

You should test chem x heavy duty soap

I've used these products on a few campers that I've done recently- and it works well! If you're having trouble with the algae and mold, try using their Heavy Duty cleaner! I spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, and then use my pressure washer to rinse it off. It works flawlessly without scrubbing! Good luck.

You should of sprayed it with a 2% sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution with a small amount of surfactant. This is what the use when cleaning exterior walls of homes and buildings and concrete. At that strength, it is safe but kills anything that is growing on the surface. And from the video it looks like you had algae growing on the sides and that appeared to be the only thing that clung on. Then hit it with the stars and strips.

It is safe, however it will strip waxes and cheap sealants off the car. It should be ceramic coating safe though as when diluted it should not still be at the ph 2 and 13 that it's at in concentrated form. Still, I would dilute more than the starting 4:1 if using on a car. Check out the chem-x website and youtube channel especially so you can see how they use it on trucks and trailers.

Might be another week. I'm working on another video that I really want to get out. If your wanting to buy, the V3 is way better than the first. I personally like both diluted 1:128, but V3 at 1:256 is a great cleaner. At 1:128 it's super slick with the sponge.

@@TheOutdoorDetailer Hi Mike, just found out that PhoenixEod Hydra V3 is using OLD labels from V1! Apparently they have hundreds of OLD labels they have to use before getting new ones. The correct dilution is 1-3 for Hydra V3.

Q: you mentioned trying for rv and other things, but avoided saying car? I know you are rinseless fan, but any reason against the car? Will it strip ceramic coating / reduce longevity? Great videos!

I know others use it on cars. I haven't tried though. It's used on regular painted semis though so shouldn't be an issue. It WILL strip waxes and sealants, but shouldn't harm coatings.

I'm probably going to hold off on it for now because from the other reviews I've seen, it is a much higher ph than advertised and I don't have a test kit yet. I will likely try it out once the snow starts flying in my area though as a pre soak at the touchless wash bay.

@HoosierDaddyDetailing I don't really like posting negative stuff because if I call it crap and it's because I didn't follow directions, then I look really dumb. (Worse than normal) however, I think enough people have told me so far that if it doesn't work for me that I'll make it known. (The DIY clean and protect doesn't work on weather tech mats, and I pointed it out)
