The Corvette has been America's sports car since 1953. This C7 Grand Sport was the final year Chevrolet produced a front engine car. On the outside you will see the wider Z06 bodywork, 19/20in wheels, 2-piece rotors and performance exhaust. On the inside you will be greeted by leather deats, 8in infotainment system, and mode selector knob. I feel in love with Vettes as a teenager watching that show. I admit I two timed that love when the Cobra came around. I love my C7, it really does everything so well and is an absolute stunner even though its now 6 years old! Something about the body design, the coke bottle style, it just has it all in the looks department. And the interior was quite an upgrade over all previous generations. The LT1 is more powerful than its predecessor LS3 but somehow the LS3 had a more raw feel to it, like John Wayne, whereas the C7 is like 007. Anyway Joe and Lori thanks for continuing to bring us great videos like this one. Love the Sebring Orange on this GS. She roars like a caged tiger and looks like one too!

I bought a 2016 Z06 3LZ convertible in Daytona Sunrise Orang Metallic. It was higher mileage at 39k but I got it for around $68,000. The car is awesome. I have owned a 1988 Corvette Z51, a 1991 Corvette ZR-1, a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V, and this blows them all away. I love it. I know what the C8s are doing, and I'm impressed, but I still like the looks of the C7 better. Thanks for the video Joe!

I just picked up a 2019 c7 grand sport convertible. It's one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. With the top down, it looks sick. It only had 3k miles on it, too. It wasn't cheap though. It's a much better buy than the z06 while still getting the z06 body style. The extra cash for the extra horsepower in the z06 is pretty much useless. You'd need to drive on a track and be a pro driver to make the extra horsepower worth it.

As an old Vette lover, I would be proud to own another color of this 2019 GS. I had a 1979 L-82 and the Corvette experience is unique to the Vette. It is a blend of American Muscle, Euro tooth cracking handling and solid reliability (can't say that about the mid-engine). You don't get it till you hit the road.

I slept on the GS when the C8 rolled out and GM had thousands of C7’s leftover. They were basically giving Stingrays and GS’s away.. 2 years later I crossed paths with exactly the car I was looking for. I picked up my 19, 7 spd manual GS in Elkhart Lake Blue w/6300 miles on the clock.. Rest assured prices have yet to stabilize and I wanted in before I was priced out..

Nice review, one thing to remember is the rims on the c7 gs and z06 are prone to cracking and bending. Need to set aside extra cash for aftermarket rims.

I purchased a brand new 2019 GS M7 1LT Elkhart Lake Blue two years ago (when I found out you couldn't get a stick in the C8) and can sell it today for close to $10k more than what I paid for it, including Cally sales tax. Depreciation? Nope appreciation!

The reason you have an analog speedometer or other cars that have a digital analog speedometer is so you can see what speed you are at. Example: you put fuel in your car and you look at the digital readout on the pump. Can you see it very well? No because it's counting so fast your eyes can't see past 60 Hz. I'm talking about the cents not the dollars. Another example: if you stomp the accelerator and your speed increases with a digital speedometer. You will not see the speed you are driving because the increments will increase at large numbers. Same thing goes for decelerating. If you're doing 90 miles per hour and apply the brakes to make a turn on the track. You can see the speed with an analog speedometer. With a digital speedometer you will only see a constant steady speed. With an analog speedometer you actually see where the speed is. If that makes sense kind of hard to explain.

Had this exact car. Kept it for 18 months and 3700 miles. Just can't deal with the cracked wheel issue this car experiences. Finally traded it in for an Audi RS 5 sportback. Just as fast with a back seat and no comparison to the vette on the inside. Luxury and speed .

@@AndrewMalkin there is a class action lawsuit against GM for using substandard wheels on the 2014 through 2019 grand sports and zo6. I myself had numerous issues either rear wheels and had to buy two new wheels. Liked the car but did not feel comfortable driving it and having to be towed again let alone wait to get fixed.

Those cameras aren't only for the PDR, they're also so you don't ding the front splitter or scrub the wheels on a curb when turning it shows a split 3 screen view of the left/right side and front on the center dispaly. And in "Valet" mode it'll film to see if the little pencil neck valet hot rods your car. Also that center section of the hood is a decal, not bare carbon fiber. You could also get a "Jake" hood stinger decal too.
