All wars are fought for profit why would this be any different? people use race religion colour nationality n whatever else they can think of, but in reality all wars are for profits, am a Greek Cypriot I never had any problems with Turkish Cypriots on the contrary But now am old n have worked for Cypriots also Turks from Turkey n Greeks from Greece n I can truthfully say I found them both to be Better to deal with than Cypriots, Turks from Turkey would Always stick to their agreement n some where extremely honest n kind people, how I wished we shared ALL the richness of the sea between us n been real friends as deep down we love their music food n culture, sadly is Not going to happen

And secondly England Italy France etc wont drop the treaty so 2023 nothing happens. Thats why a canal in Istanbul is made now then 1 point about the Canakkale canal is gone

Savvas Papaiacovou who is everyone? EU and USA of course. In Russia , India or Pakistan they say it is our right to drill there. South Cyprus had no right to make deals with other countries without talking with the nothern part before. You just dont represent the whole Island its that simple. FIFA1907 Egypt, Israel, Jordan, and literally the whole western civilization support Cyprus. Pakistan, india? They have no influence nor geopolitical significance. Russia wants to make sure the gas goes through the turkstream, something the the west will not allow. We could literally care less though. All we care about is that any solution will not turn Cyprus into a turkish satellite state. That is true for the gas and the political situation. This is the only deal breaker for Cypriots, the rest are a cheap price to pay for peace. It’s not really that complicated. You as a turk (I assume), would you let turkish cypriots go on their own way with out any obtrusive turkish political influence? (assuming a fair deal is found)

FIFA1907 1st of all. Something the UN, EU, US, Russia and pretty much everyone apart from Turkey agrees is that the wealth belongs to the Republic of Cyprus. This includes both sides. Therefore, the Republic has authority to take action in its EEZ. This is international law. Turkey claims that the south is violating international law since there is no official state, because it doesn’t recognize the Republic of Cyprus, a position only Turkey holds and therefore invalid in the international community and law, and valid only to Turkey. 2nd, there are no South Cypriots that argue that the wealth should not be shared, anything against that is just a propaganda that the north is being unfairly treated. A committee has been form to manage & invest the funds (Denmark model). Once a solution has been found, only then the funds will equally flow into Cypriot society. Sounds pretty fair to me. But you wouldn’t know that, your media, which is not free, constantly bombard you with warmongering and nationalist propaganda. If you are willing to see through that, a solution can be found.
