I need to post on every video related to Glenn Close that she DESERVES an OSCAR during her lifetime.

Absolutely agree as we said in this review! :) Wish this movie was a little better so the academy would take notice of her performance in it, because it was exceptional.

Glad you enjoyed it! All our opinions like any critic, are subjective. Always happy to hear someone got joy out of a film even if it's not our jam. :)

Glenn Close needs an Oscar for playing a part of an Old Woman who needs to dress and act her age ???
@TheNerdSocial2 ай бұрын
Absolutely! :) Have you seen how Glenn Close usually acts and talks? She transformed for this role. Also, the statement in the video was more about her body of work as an actress. Winning an Oscar on a particular year isn't always about the movie you are nominated for. When an actress like Glenn is nominated the voters often consider her body of work. Now they aren't supposed to, they are supposed to judge the performances in that year. Which is probably why she's just missed it several times. There was a performances in the years that she was nominated that was deemed exceptional (by them) and she loss. However, there are Plenty of actors with less than half her career who were just more lucky the year they were nominated and they won not so much for the role they were nominated for but their body of work because no one else that year blew them out of the water.

Nathan, I couldn't agree more with your analysis if this movie. I stopped watching it at one point and wasn't planning on finishing until I heard from another reviewer that it was based on a true story and had some redemptive value instead of just being a really bad horror movie. It definitely gave off B movie vibes. After loving Daniels' previous movies (especially Andra Day as Billie Holiday) I was disappointed that this movie was such a flop (in my opinion).

Yeah, it really fell off the rails. Actors did their best though.

Did you enjoy it?

It was the slowest moving thing I've watched in years. The horror was how long I had to watch a mom abuse her kids without anything interesting to back it up. Had to cut it off about 1/3 of the way through, up until then the only possession shown was a mom in possession of babies she did not deserve. Terrible!

Movies was wac.. if u kno the story ur gonna hate the movie.. none of the actual events were added to the writing.. Only the child walking up the wall was put in the movie.. NOTHING ELSE!! Smh what a waste
@TheNerdSocial2 ай бұрын
Are you working from the assumption because the story happened to real people that the story is actually "real"? Do you believe in demons?
@fly.prolific.2 ай бұрын
@@TheNerdSocial I'm saying, what actually happened in real life should of been put in the movie. Not just a bunch of made up events that was never reported to had happened.. demons are VERY REAL one of my siblings manifested a demon when we were children because of my uncle doing blac magic in our home.. which we as kids thought was so cool seeing the doors and Windows slamming open and closed by themselves until we found out why my parents were so livid every time he did it. The imaginary friend thing is how it started.. just like in 95% of every case.. So yes I don't think it's real I kno it's real.. I witnessed it..

Did you watch the movie?! Her performance was wild!

Glenn Close didn't become Black, Lee Daniels is trying to help Glenn get an Oscar, she is elderly now, and wants an Oscar before it's to late,

Yep, it was kinda basic and it wasn't well executed.

The cast was quite good. Glenn Close looking like a 21st Century version of Baby Jane Hudson! Worse film Popes Exorcist with Russel Crowe looking like a distorted Richard Burton!

Bad acting, bad writing, bad script l, bad special effects...MONIQUE IN IT SO VERY VERY BAD as she dsnt nothing good anymore since SHE WENT CRWZY
@TheNerdSocial2 ай бұрын
Did you think the script and acting was bad through the entire movie? We think it just fell apart when the horror elements started to kick into high gear at the end, then people started acting stupid (because of the script) and good actor can only do so much to save a bad script. Monique thought she was in "Precious" for a moment when she was telling a story, and they she pulled it back at the last moment and came back to this film.
