Can’t compare them to rane 12 at all, those have moving platters. Coming from pioneers I think these are nice but a bit steep at $699 I bought them in excellent shape for $250 each. I do like them, the platters are a bit stiff but I can live with it.

This is cool for the people that like to use 4 player's.

Makes sense if you have a single SC6K/6KM. An M version makes absolutely zero sense because all the M versions of the SC's run $200 more than their static platter counterparts so now we're talking $900 to have control over the 2nd layer. Why oay that when you can get a brand new 5000M for $800. Makes even less sense if you're going to use it for Serato for a unit that would be nothing more than an updated Numark V7. Not to mention they'd be treading on Rane Twelve money & they'd just be competing with themselves.

yeah it different approach, I think it for the people who bought the Sc5000 or Sc6000 and only bought one and didn't have enough to get a second one so this is a great second option to still have pair without the full cost but idk still not a fan of the idea.

I never understood people buying CDJs or SCs for use with Serato/Traktor. That just seems counterintuitive to me. That said, the LC6000s do seem like a logical choice for people wanting to pair them with DVS software. But, prior to the LCs being released you can get a waaay better bargain by simply buying a controller.
