I have a Model Y, its awesome, 3 years no maintenance so far, no need for brake job or anything other than tires and control arm stuff until about 150k. Road trips are awesome, prefer them to any cars ive ever had, they drive themselves 90% of the time especially on highway, takes the stress out of road trips. I would get a new Model Y for $35k with fed & state tax incentives. The new Model 3 is refreshed and basically an all new car, so smooth with new suspension and quiet and more efficient, but more expensive. The new 3 performance is pound for pound best value performance car ever made. Teslas (including the battery) should last till 300k miles, about double what an average gas car will last. Awesome cars.

That’s a lot of really good insight, what’s your opinion on depreciation with your Y and other Tesla models. Is it something on your radar or something that you’re not very concerned about?

@@connerscars Depreciation is a thing with new Teslas, for instance mine cost new 53k, its probably worth maybe 29k 3 years later, doesn't seem too bad to me, they seem to flatten out and hold their value around 19k even with 120k+ miles. They never go down to like 5k in value like a Camry, for instance. And the best part, they can save $250 per month in gas, over 10 years thats $30k in savings, so add that to the overall value etc.

Hey Conner. Go to hertz on nova road and rent a model 3. It’s only $59 a day. No need to invest big money. Best way to get acquainted with a Tesla. 100 d on back is because Tesla people change them to impress other Tesla drivers. It’s is a 75D. Interesting how they had for sale with such a low charge 8%. All electric cars should be at full charge to get a better idea of range that is left. They did you a favor at $25,000. I assume it was a no sale. My guess Tesla was the seller.

Supercharging is nearly as expensive as gas, takes long time, isn't convenient. If you can charge at home you save $$ but the savings isn't what you think. Maybe $100 a month if that.

Used EVs are a crapshoot. No good and reliable way to know the life left in the battery. If there was a good way of estimating the battery life, a good measure of it's value could be determined. When the battery goes, the car becomes a brick.
