Absolutely, I've had mine since she was new. Got it on Christmas day in 2000. She's had a ton of customization done since then, but still have all her original parts on hand. It's been played at many bars and venues over the years. Hot rod red with maple neck.

Hi, I got one in 2001 and switch out the bridge pickup but then Lost the original bridge pickup. Would you be at all interested to sell me your stock bridge pickup?

People love to hate on Fenders, especially the American series, but they are well made instruments that will last and possess a legendary heritage

That era of Fenders far surpasses today’s Fenders. There’s more to a guitar than just a glossy neck. They cut the trees down way too green nowadays and just dip them in lacquer. Great playing!

I have both a 1973 Stratocaster and a 2019 American Original '50s Stratocaster, and I can assure you that the 2019 is a far better guitar. But I was selling them brand new in the early '70s, and they really were pretty good guitars back then. They just were not historically accurate to the fifties and sixties versions. Oh yeh ... I have a 2000 American Series, as well. Neither, was that historically accurate to any of the past models; but WAS the first non-pancake body in perhaps 10 years. I just recently, have added a MULE at the bridge and a Klein '56 at the middle and a Klein '63 at the neck. All the pickups need to be broken in, but even still, what a great sounding axe! I LOVE the big frets on that guitar!

This fender era has the best pickup fender ever made in my honest opinion.
