Great review. Got mine at the end of February and have taken it skiing in Switzerland, city visits to London and hiking. The AF is similar to my XT5. On both cameras I have AI subject detection focus turned off as I find placing the small AF box on the subject faster and more accurate.

I’ve noticed a similar thing with the focus. At car events, it tends to want to focus on people more than my subject, the vehicles. I’ve had fairly good health with my batteries, one usually last a day of moderate shooting. I think I lost one bar with over 100 images (fine and raw) and some 4K video at the last event I went to.

If you like to photograph cars there is a subject detection option in the AF menu for Automobile. But I have not tried it yet 😅.

You can set any of the buttons to turn on/off face detection with one press. Super quick.

wow 🤩 this is Berlin , I do live here too and Thank you for your view I was thinking of selling my XT-4 to get this one because I have some health issues and I’m looking for Fuji System but lighter and smaller ( Compact) but too keep beautiful colors of Fuji and there Quality

Thank you so much! I never tried the XT-4 personally but as the x100vi has the same sensor as the XT-5 maybe it is a good option 😊

@@LucaCaptures yeah it’s great camera the xt4 I use it with xf 16-55 great combo but it became a burden on me specially when my health gets worse.. The XT-5 it is direct upgrade to the Xt-3 because it’s exactly the same dimensions and the same tilting screen for portrait the only real difference is the ibis and the new sensor

@@LucaCaptures yeah I agree Cause I was looking for alternatives from the beginning and I considered Leica Q2 and Q3 but these are really above my budget and also Sony Rx1R ii but also expensive, but now with Ibis inside x100vi then everything becomes more reliable and logical to me , Thank you once again for your response and review

You can turn off sensor cleaning in the menus :)

@@LucaCaptures i think it is on by default. The sensor cleaning should shake off any dust or unwanted particles from the sensor. Doesnt hurt to have it on, tbh.

100% the camera is overhyped. and that's not to knock it at all it's not the camera's fault. It's a cute camera, that's not even that small. it won't change your life if you get it.
