I used all your tips of on what I should study for PMP exam. Do you have any old notes, test, and questions I can buy from you that you made for the PMP already. I just wanted some extra notes. The information you had on your website for the CAPM helped me pass that exam last year. I wanted practice questions and notes you may have posted for the PMP too.

Hi Alvin, thank you for your point of view on this course. Currently, I am in the first week of the course, the tryout week, and so far has been a very nice course. I am aiming to get PMP, and as you well know requires 35 hours of education. I am considering this course, since being online it is quite convenient and it is also quite economical. Does this course satisfy the 35 training hours required by PMI to get the PMP? If it doesn't satisfy those 35 hours required which online course do you recommend? Thanks, Alvin! So glad you found the video helpful! Yep, that's what I love about Coursera's course is that it will qualify for your educational experience toward your PMP or CAPM Certification. Just make sure you save your Certification so you have this ready, in case your application gets audited by PMI.

I think you'll do a great job! I have worked with other Project Managers whose primary language was NOT English, and that person was able to still lead teams and manage projects very effectively. You can set your mind and accomplish anything you want to do.

As I mention in the video, I highly recommend the Google Project Management Program if you don't have a background in Project Management. If I was just starting out in my career, I would absolutely take it. Because it'll teach you many of the foundations in project management, including the different approaches of predictive and agile, it'll help set you up for success on the CAPM Exam. You can use the Google Program to meet the educational requirement to take your CAPM Exam, however, you'll need to cross reference to PMI's Exam Content Outline and you'll still need to obtain an exam simulator and practice questions, as I've mentioned in my video about the best resources to pass the CAPM Exam, found here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5Cplqympcqmp9Esi=EfFDmX50W_g1jGPe Hope this helped!

Would this certificate help me get into a PM role if I have 1 year of on-the-job Project Managing experience? I don't have a formal degree, but i've worked 4 years as a Business Analyst, and lot of my duties now blend into project management. Last year I was assigned to a project and have been managing it for little over a year with great success.

I'm also a BA with the exact same question. I did not complete my degree. I left school and worked my way up. Ive got some experience with managing projects. Seems it would be a natural progression from a BA role.

I think you may. The certificate will help you at entry level job. If the industry you are trying to get in , has an interview with behaivioral questions use example with quantifiable results. In essence sell yourself with facts. Good luck

i'm pretty sure 6 months is just the time they estimate it will take you to finish it. i'm sure there aren't any repercussions if you were to take longer

Helen, I wish everything in life was 100% guaranteed, but nothing in life is certain. For example, just because you gain a certification does NOT guarantee you will get a job interview. What I will say is that going through the program will definitely teach you the fundamentals and give you the skills and confidence so you can be much more confident in the job interview and in performing the actual job itself.
