Nice review, if your considering upping the budget i would recommend trying the Cometa rifles, i've got far more expensive top of the line Weihrauch and air arms rifles but the Cometa Fusion premier star is now my go to rifle which has more than challenged my top end rifles.

Very good shooting with your first rifle excellent manufacturer Hatsan 900x nice rifle , one Tip for you, hope you do not mind me passing it on to you,when pulling the trigger back to release the shot, once done, keep the trigger pulled back until the shot is taken, by releasing the trigger when taking the shot, this movement can cause a miss on target . Well done with your review. Regarding the power my company bought 2 of these rifles and I choreographed them and they were kicking out 9.4 ftlb so yours is doing well. We were given them for short range dispatch of injured wildlife however, we decided to use our own air guns on site after getting the companies permission. Keep going and keep trying, maybe a target holder with a pellet catcher would be a good investment for home use? All the best 👍

You’re doing great for a beginner. Well done holding the barrel while loading and I can tell by your attitude and methodical approach you have what it takes to be a good marksman. Be aware that resting a spring rifle fore end on a solid object is not good for accuracy,you need to either use soft cusion or hold the fore end consistently. Pellet choice becomes super important over about 20 meters - each individual gun will prefer specific pellets so if you start shooting beyond about 20 meters it’s worth trying different quality pellets to find one that suits your specific gun,I recommend sticking to quality round head types.

I bought one of these from a mate as I wanted something cheap and cheerful and also to use as a dispatch rifle as I do a lot of vermin control and sometimes I can get into a tight spot where I may have a rat in a trap that needs to be finished off and I didn't want to use my higher end pcp's to possibly get marked or damaged. And I was really impressed just how accurate these hatsans are I had it zeroed at 30 yards and it was stacking pallets up. I've shot airguns for over fifty years and one of these is a definite contender to anyone starting out. Welcome to the great world of airgunning buddy enjoy your new gun.

A decent sensible reveiw that, i purchased one a few weeks ago to add to my collection,it sold as a EB900X (Edgar Brothers,the importers) cost me £85 thats why i was atracted to it!! I mounted a BSA 3-9x40AO scope (i have four of these in use,good scopes) i have 7 other rifles but i do like a cheap rifle for fun shooting on my club 25yd indoor range. The stock on my version is very nice and appears to be Turkish walnut,the finish and fit is excellent, only had about150 pellets through it so far (Webley VMX's in .22) and its still quite stiff so i think it will be a while running it in ! so far very happy , it has potential for a good bit of fun and relaxation on the range . Reccomended!

Justin, great video, I have just brought the same rifle and it looks great, I have also got a Pinty scope 3-9-40, I haven't got to use it yet, I have bought it mainly for some pest control as there been an influx of rats coming into my garden, but the more videos i have watched I'm getting into the target shooting. I have a disability so sitting and shooting seems a good fit for me.

It’s cheap enough to keep. The 900x suffers a long trigger pull, have you seen the “trigger mod” videos? The trigger used on it is a Gamo type unit. Did you clean the barrel?

Is the trigger adjustable? Seems there's a quite long travel of its "leaf" (and that's why you're squeezing it). And I notice lots of recoil, for a sub-12 fpe gun.

Yes it’s adjustable, I’m shooting with it in its stock setup here. I really should adjust it!

I have this same setup (scope and rifle) and my scope does not sit centered when its mounted on the rail. It sits slightly off to the left, the opposite side on which the rail screws are. Does this seem normal?

I fully intend to get a bsa rifle, but I definitely will keep this hatsan no matter what. It’s so cheap there’s no point getting rid and it’s pretty good fun! Maybe one day my son will have it as a starter rifle.
