Yes, it is. You need to have some knowledge of stats. This is not a stats course. You can take the free harvard stats courses

from my research first you need a laptop that's not later than 5years as of today. why? coz a 2018 i3 is just as good or even better than a 2013 i7 (get i5 if you can). find something with SSD not HDD it gives a lil more boost to processing power. lastly at least 8gb ram and good battery that battery is important coz you'll need all the motivation you can get.
